From the start, he displayed a complete lack of professionalism, which set the tone for the entire ordeal. He arrived late by 2.5 hours, seemingly without any regard for my time or schedule. When he finally showed up, I caught him changing clothes in front of my house, which only added to his already questionable demeanor.

As we began the installation process, it became clear that Elyes was completely unprepared and disorganized. He repeatedly yelled at me, dismissed my concerns, and made me feel belittled and disrespected as a customer. Despite my repeated attempts to communicate with him about the need for permits, he refused to take responsibility for obtaining them, instead shifting the blame onto me.

When I discovered that he had never obtained the necessary permits, he became aggressive and defensive, sending me a text with an incomplete permit application and claiming it was the actual permit. The situation escalated further when the woman at the Building & Safety office intervened on my behalf, asking if she should call the police to help me.

Elyes's behavior continued to deteriorate throughout the project, with him becoming increasingly abusive and confrontational whenever I complained about issues such as gas leaks or system failures. He claimed that the gas company was responsible for the leak, despite them shutting off my supply and locking it down themselves.

As the situation reached a boiling point, Elyes became even more erratic, refusing to address my concerns or repair the gas leak until I threatened to fire him. When he did finally agree to fix the issue, he accused me of causing the problem myself or hiring someone to do so. This was just one of many outlandish claims he made during our interactions.

In a shocking display of hubris and disregard for customer satisfaction, Elyes then had the audacity to install cameras throughout my house without my consent, claiming that I was somehow manipulating the city inspector. He also unplugged my heating system, leaving me vulnerable in the winter.

When I fired Elyes and US Comfort, I knew it was only a matter of time before he tried to deceive me again. And so, when he sent me some misleading information about the inspection findings, I took action, filing a complaint with the CSLB for financial damages. To my surprise, Elyes lost the arbitration and was forced to pay a significant award.

The entire ordeal has left me shaken, not only by Elyes's outrageous behavior but also by the fact that his contractor's license had been suspended due to unpaid fines against another complainant. It's clear that Elyes prioritized his own interests over customer satisfaction, and I would strongly advise others to avoid working with him.

In hindsight, it's astonishing that I didn't discover more red flags about Elyes and US Comfort before hiring them. If you're considering using their services, make sure to thoroughly research their licenses and reputation before proceeding. Trust me when I say that it's not worth the risk.
