I have used Eddy (and now Eddy Jr as well) to trim my trees for over 25 years. He was recommended to me by a neighbor in Malibu and I have continued to use them here in Venice. Incredibly professional and knowledgeable.

Unreliable! Inconsiderate!
Month ago got a bid and made an appointment. No show on that date. Saw them on the street and asked what happened. They rescheduled. Again no show and no call!
Called to inquire about no show #2. They said they would call back. Again crickets!
This is after moving patio furniture and plants etc to accommodate workers!

Marvin has been trimming our palm tree for years, and taking care of some fruit trees on our property. A couple years ago he cleared out some trees that were unkempt from our backyard, and then this spring we did a total overhaul on our backyard. Marvin leveled the backyard, cleared out old roots, put DG in the middle and created a tree/plant bed around the perimeter where he planted privacy bushes and low water landscaping as well as put in timed drip irrigation. Marvin was very punctual with his service. He was able to fit us in, stayed on target with our planned days and remained on the job consistently until everything was done. He was thorough with his budget and clear if certain additions or changes were going to cost more so there were no surprises. We are really happy to have our backyard completely redone and thrilled it happened without delay. Thank you Marvin!

Marvin answers texts quickly. Found my trees online before he even came to the house. Gave me a reasonable price. The work was considerable and completed in one day as promised. They were very good about cleaning afterward. Payment was seamless with Zelle. Excellent service in all respects.

Marvin gave me a free estimate for fair price and told me when his team would show up (the next day). They showed up on time (7am) with a crew of people who worked hard and did excellent work. He did exactly what he said he would do and went above and beyond cleaning up and removing not just the debris from the work but also other debris that had accumulated on the property. I would hire him again, without question.

Marvin and Jose did a great job! We had some touch stumps to remove and they plowed right thru them with brute strength and finesse. Jose did a great job thinning and shaping a large magnolia tree and shaping and pruning another. They cleaned up the yard of any debris and didn't just run over plantings. Thanks a bunch! I recommend their services and will use them again.

Very professional. Came on time. Respectful and polite. Cut down my 30 feet maple tree and saved my fig tree just a couple of yards from the maple tree. Reasonable price. Cleaned up the yard as if nothing happened.

Do not hire this man. Horrible service and extremely disrespectful! I also just went outside, to find he had left before completing the job. Even if Marvin (the owner) was upset with me, because of our heated exchange… Professionalism? While the interaction was taking place, he closed his windows in his truck, picked up a plate of food and started eating it (as if to say, ‘I’m ignoring you’). Don’t waste your time or money! Team arrived promptly and did a fantastic job trimming everything and removing a tree. Site was cleaned up beautifully and our yard looks great. Easy to deal with - good communication and made thoughtful suggestions on how best to do work.

Marvin has done alot of tree tree trimming, tree planting and brush clearance for me and I am very happy with his work and his fair prices. One very good part of Marvin's services is he and his team leave the property really clean after they finish the job.

March 26, 2024: Marvin and his crew are absolutely amazing. They trimmed and beautified our giant 80 ft. tall Moreton Bay Fig tree in two days. They protected all the landscaping below the tree and when they left, they did not leave one stray leaf on the ground to show that they had been there. I have almost an acre in West L.A. and every time Marvin's been here, he's made our property more valuable and more beautiful. AND THE PRICE WAS GREAT! Use him, you'll thank me.
