Nick and his TreeCareLA Team are simply the best. A few years ago he did a great job, I had in-between someone cheaper, but looking at 4 other bids and results of "whacker/toppers" around the area, I was happy to have him come back and do a terrific job on several trees last month. I root for people knowing and loving their trade, which is what TreeCareLA is all about. Love your trees , get the best care "doctor" ;)
    Be well!

We called TreeCarLA when another arborist said our sycamore had bugs. I sent TreeCareLA an email and their quick response asked for photos and suggested that I watch their video on that exact subject. The video was very clear and helpful. I checked my tree and was able to determine what kind of bug I had. I called TreeCareLA and we discussed my findings and they agreed that I had the sycamore borer and that my tree would be fine. They never asked for money and were very helpful even though they were giving their services for free.

I have a huge Stone Pine tree in my backyard, the kind that is extremely susceptible to bark beetle infestation in California. I made the mistake of using another tree service to cut some dead branches earlier in the summer when you're NOT supposed to cut anything living due to increased susceptibility. Turns out some of the "dead" branches were still running sap, so I was panicked. I called my regular tree service and they wanted upwards of $2,500 to treat the tree systemically with insecticide and vitamins. When I noticed Tree Care had two IGA certified arborists, I asked Tree Care LA for a consult, Although I was a brand new customer, they fit me in for a consult within a couple of weeks, and for a very reasonable consult fee (my regular arborist wanted $450!) Oscar came out and was very knowledgeable and recommended the service for about a third of the cost of the other service. Bottom line - I've been overpaying for so many years. So glad I found Tree Care LA!

TreeCare LA is amazing! I had a great experience with them from start to finish. They first come to your site for a free consultation to assess your situation, then they provide an estimate for the work needed. We needed 2 growing canary palms removed (before they got too big and out of control) as well as pruning of a way overgrown orange tree. They also work with the LA Department of Transportation to set up a no parking zone ahead of time, to ensure that there is enough parking and space for the trucks. The team that came out on the day of, was friendly, professional, and efficient. They finished the job within 3 hours and did a thorough job cleaning, leaving no debris behind. They also made sure to answer any questions I had, and teach me tips for further upkeep. I highly recommend TreeCare LA for anyone that needs tree work or pruning done! Thanks TreeCare LA team - you guys are AWESOME!!!

A superb company, highly skilled, communicative and competitively priced - I tried a few different services before I found Nick and team, and I'm sticking with them. I've used them for a wide range of services around our yard. Nick was also able to identify all of our trees, before giving tips for their individual care. I recommend TreeCare LA very highly.

Nick and his crew look after each tree as a caring doctor looks after a patient. I had a crew from TreeCare LA over earlier this year to cut back an old-growth avocado tree in our backyard.

The tree provides so much for the beauty of our landscape, but it had grown over our roof and needed to be taken back, and supported with some cabling. Nick's crew of three handled this in a single afternoon, taking care to only cut what was necessary for the health of the tree and the safety of the house.

In this appointment, they also put stakes down to support a younger tree in our front yard. A couple of weeks later, we had very strong winds, and one of the stakes came loose. I text Nick a photo and within 48 hours he had scheduled an arborist to re-stake the tree. This arborist noticed a couple of cuts that could be made to improve the health and structure of the tree, and did all of this without additional charge.

I am endlessly happy with the professionalism and care offered by TreeCareLA and look forward to working with them in the future.

Nick is extremely knowledgeable with trees. I have watched him over the years always an honest guy that’s even willing to help other arborists gain experience.

Leading with expertise and professional care, Nick and his team went over and beyond to help me with a tricky tree issue. They're one of a kind: they don't cut corners, are highly educated, take care to provide ample time on each appointment rather than rushing through, have a completely competent office staff, provide excellent communication at all turns, and are even competitively priced. No one else compares, from tree pruning and removal all the way to tree advice. No one.

In my opinion, TreeCareLA and Nick Araya (ISA Board Certified Master Arborist and ISA Qualified Tree Risk Assessor) should be given a special City/County of Los Angeles commendation for Exceptional Tree Stewardship. (Maybe they already have one.) If you need any kind of tree guidance, tree cutting, tree trimming, or any other tree situation, these are the people you are looking for. You don't have to take my word for it; go to their Instagram, which shows the good work they do and the kinds of tree challenges/issues they deal with daily. But definitely go to their website. I think it would convince you that they are worth contacting. A great website like that isn't something I could say even the best contractors I've worked with have. I don't mean that as a criticism. Contractors who are small businesses or one-person operations probably can't justify the resources to create more than the most basic website, and they don't really need to, because while, sure, it would be nice to look up a plumber or electrician and find a comprehensive website with photos of them holding plungers and electric wires, we know what plumbers and electricians do and it's easy to google them and read reviews, etc. But most people don't know what an arborist does. I would guess quite a few have never even heard of one. So that TreeCareLA clearly devoted a lot of care to create a website for their business that is amazingly informative and easy to navigate, with pictures and names and licenses and plenty of contact information--that alone tells me a lot about them. I think it shows that their potential and existing customers matter to them.

To be sure, TreeCareLA are not the only excellent arborists in town, but a lot of excellent arborists do not do tree work; they consult/advise only. These are arborists who do this work and DO NOT RUIN trees. They are professional, they are certified in multiple tree practices, they are trustworthy, they are reliable, and they have great ATTITUDES. They have the right equipment (!) and their own LADDERS (!). They know how to safely and responsibly do dangerous things high up in trees. They know about power lines and what's an issue and what's not an issue. They ALSO know about neighbors and the best way to inform those neighbors of tree work about to happen and make it very unlikely that they aren't going to run into your yard screaming on a Saturday morning (happened to me). And when you call them, someone REALLY NICE ANSWERS the phone.

If you're reading this review (especially way down here), you're likely a conscientious someone with a tree issue/question of some kind--or maybe you have a situation where a tree requires periodic maintenance. LA certainly has no shortage of these scenarios. Perhaps your neighbor just told you that one of your tree's limbs are hanging over their garage and that if it falls on it, you can expect to pay for all and any repairs (happened to me). Perhaps the city issued you a notice that a tree in front of your house isn't in compliance with city ordinances (happened to me). Maybe the garbage and recycling trucks are knocking off limbs from a tree as they drive past and damaging it (happened to me). Maybe you have 80 yo trees in your yard that you think may be diseased (happened to me). Perhaps you planted an oak tree and you want to make sure you take the best care of it you can (happened to me). I wrote this review because I want to someone like you to maybe notice these ladies and gentlemen. (And, no, I'm not a shill. Shills or other fake reviewers don't write lengthy reviews like this one.) Good luck with your tree(s) and may you never know bad tree work.

I've used Tree Care LA multiple times to trim trees and foliage on my property. They are absolutely great to work with - they give the utmost attention to the safety and health of the trees, they work quickly, and they're really passionate about their work. The staff are certified arborists, so they're trained to remove branches and limbs in ways that reduce long-term harm to the trees. Plus, you can tell they enjoy their jobs and have fun doing it, their enthusiasm is contagious. If you have trees that need maintenance in Los Angeles, I highly recommend contacting Tree Care LA for service.

Nick from TreeCareLA was awesome to work with. I had concerns about a big tree near my driveway and property line, and he really helped make sense of the situation. He showed up on time, walked me through everything in plain English, and clearly knew what he was talking about. The report he gave me was thoughtful, detailed, and super helpful for figuring out next steps.

You can tell he actually cares about both the trees and the people involved—not just ticking a box. I’d definitely call him again and recommend TreeCareLA to anyone dealing with tree or root issues.

I can not say enough good things about the crew today. Not only professional and kind but just seemed like good people who cared greatly about what they were doing. They also all seemed to get along. Great team work. And my wife and I both felt our trees (especially our beloved old fig tree next to the difficult Canary Island Palm) were in awesome hands. They also discretely tied some of the fig branches to the cleaned palm tree trunk so we could get rid of a crutch that was underneath the cascading fig canopy. This freed up a lot of ground room underneath that canopy.

We had been waiting 10 years to get this major tree trim off our "house list" and are very happy.

Thank you to the TreeCare LA crew . Great work!

Though Nick has become an esteemed tree celebrity, he is a super down to earth cool guy! If you are looking for a company to care for your trees, treecarela sets the standard.
