Constraction reviews in Marina, California

Excellent communication. Job started with pre-construction meeting going over everything that was going to happen. Foreman double checked everything with me to make sure we were on same page. At end of each day the crew cleaned up so you'd never know they were there. Project went off without a hitch.

Scudder Roofing is a fantastic company to work with. There is a strong sense of professionalism from every employee and representative. Everyone is a delight to work with and I would recommend anyone in need of roofing or solar to give this company a call.

Scudder Roofing installed 21 solar panels on top of our new home 2 years ago. They did an excellent job, very professional and precise. Hiccups arose when it came time to communicate with PG&E to start benefiting from the energy we were producing. PG&E, as one might guess, is not particularly user-friendly. And at about the same time, Scudder Roofing was restructuring their Solar department, with a change in personnel. In the end, Scudder completely corrected the communication problem, synced our system up with PG&E, and resolved every issue. They are an excellent company, and I highly recommend them. If we build another home, Scudder Roofing will be doing our roofing work. Pete Scudder is the best in the business.

I had my two houses roofed by Scudder Roofing and I have all the great experience with Scudder Roofing during after the roof replacing projects.
This company tskes real good care of its customers. What is worth mentioning here is the hands-on leadership style of President Scudder. Mr. Scudder deeply impressed me and my wife with his pro-active presence in resolving customer issues that other people may not even pay attention to. He is highly professional and highly effective. Jennefer, the operation officer, and Gabe, the project consultant, also very much impressed us with their customer oriented work style, and their professionalism and effectiveness in solving problems. The roofers are well trained and equipped with good experience and skills. This is an excellent company that is led by an outstanding President and supported by all kinds of fantastic people.

Scudder Roofing and staff have performed excellent roof, leaf guard, gutter and drain work. Their staff is knowledgeable, friendly, trustworthy and prompt. Thank you for your continued great friendly service.

Scudder did a very thorough estimate. They took care of all of the city permitting and did an excellent job replacing our roof. Their communication is very good.

The group came in and did a fantastic job! The team was great to work with and highly experienced: the roof looks fantastic!

I am very impressed with everyone at Scudder Roofing. From my initial consultation with Gabriel to the entire office team, they have all been polite, friendly, and professional. Every question and concern I had—whether by phone or email—was promptly addressed. Jennifer helped me with the online forms, Stacey kept me updated on payment status, and Emily ensured that any concerns I had, even after the crew left, were resolved. I also want to give special thanks to José, the foreman, who was very kind and provided his number so I could reach him over the weekend when rain was forecasted.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the service I received from Scudder Roofing. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of roofing services. Thank you to the entire team for making this a stress-free experience!

I contracted Scudder Roofing to replace my roof a few months ago. They were professional and very easy to communicate with. They fit me into their schedule a month early because they knew I needed the job done as soon as possible. There was a small misunderstanding about the furnace roof jacks, but they made good on the changes and gave me full attention at all levels. Everyone I communicated with, including Jenny, Wyatt and Emily, worked to give me the best service and their goal was to make me a satisfied customer. The roof I got was beautiful and I feel confident that it will last for many years.

Scudder installed our much needed roof replacement several months ago. It is stunning and they did a wonderful job including replacing siding on our home. Also great for the price! Would recommend them over and over.

Scudder was professional and efficient, showing up when they said and explaining each step. I'd highly recommend them.

Scudder Roofing did an outstanding job on the roof of our church. From the very beginning, they were professional, attentive, and clear in their communication. The crew showed great respect for the sacred space, keeping the area clean and safe throughout the entire project.

The work was led by Emily Heredia and Israel Duran, with Bernardo Reyes supervising on site. Their dedication, expertise, and sensitivity to the particular needs of a religious community were evident every step of the way. We were especially grateful for their willingness to listen, explain the process, and adapt with professionalism and care.

The quality of the work was clear from the initial assessment to the final installation. They used durable materials and ensured that every detail was handled with precision. We wholeheartedly recommend Scudder Roofing for any project that requires integrity, skill, and personalized attention.

New Camaldoli Hermitage.

We received 5-6 estimates for a new roof on our home. Scudder was not the cheapest, but also were not the most expensive. We chose them for their thorough presentation and explanation of the process and materials. The workers at the site were prompt, polite, and did an excellent job from start to finish (including clean up daily). Thank you Wyatt, Salvador, Reynaldo, and crew for a great job!!!

The actual working members of the Scudder team were solid. They did a good job of actually installing two roofs and keeping me informed. The admin side of things leaves a lot of room for improvement. Getting the original estimate. was slow. Managing the billing process was not easy and getting the final paperwork was very delayed.

Scudder installed a metal roof for us. They were easy to work with, the crew was professional, and the roof is great. We would not hesitate to use them again.

Excellent to work with, prompt efficient very professional. What really stands out is the crew made sure all was safe! Making sure there ladder was secure before climbing up, impressive. With the storm, wind and everything slippery I felt at ease knowing that Salvador and Edgar were up on the roof working safely.

Every Scudder Roofing employee I had contact with (from President/CEO to installer assistant) was clear, effective, friendly, and professional. My new roof is high quality and looks great!

Scudder Roofing was fantastic to work with! They handled everything seamlessly, even with our unpredictable closing schedule. Their team was incredibly professional—prioritizing student safety and maintaining a clean, organized worksite throughout the project. We couldn’t be happier with the results and their commitment to excellence. Highly recommend!

I enthusiastically recommend Scudder for your roof and solar needs. In Dec 2025, we contracted with Scudder to replace our roof, gutters, downspouts and install solar panels and battery.
In these times, it is very unusual to work with a company that provides the level of customer comfort, project thoroughness, high-quality materials, and overall professionalism that Scudder delivered.
At every step of the way, I gained more confidence in their team. All my questions (both onsite and email) were answered promptly and every morning when the workers arrived, I smiled because everything was going so well. It was impressive to observe how friendly, tidy, organized, communicative, professional and collaborative every member of the Scudder team was. It was fascinating to watch them show up and perform their magic.
Every member of the roof, gutter and solar team worked seamlessly with their peers to complete our roof and our solar installation during intense weather events. In the end, we are celebrating a beautiful new roof, gutters, downspouts and monitoring a beautifully designed solar installation. I am honestly sad the project is over. EVERY one of the Scudder team appeared motivated, happy, interested in doing high-quality work and interested in my satisfaction.
It was truly a pleasure to work with Scudder. Call them.
