Scudder Roofing just completed installation of a new roof on our home. They did a fabulous job and I want to thank the entire Scudder crew for their excellent service, especially Israel, Rafael, and the outstanding project manager, Diego Ambriz! Diego ran a top notch team, never left work at the end of the day before cleaning entirely around the outside of our home, communicated with us daily keeping us totally informed as to status of the job, finishing the job right on time!

I set up an appointment two weeks ahead of time for an estimate. I called 20 minutes after the appointed time and...NO SHOW...When I called they said it was an honest mistake....I took the afternoon off to meet them..Do not bother with these people.

My husband and I absolutely loved our experience with Scudder Roofing. Our experience could not have been better. The people at Scudders used excellent quality materials, with experienced workers, and are very nice, patient, friendly, hardworking, professional, and kept their word. Our roof looks simply fabulous.

We first met with Javier, Project Consultant, who explained the process, styles of roofing, potential costs, estimated time to do the job, warranties, payment schedule, and much more. As we were emailed the 19 page contract, and more, I read every word and had numerous questions. I wanted clarity of the contract and did not want any misunderstandings. (I appreciated that everything was in writing, as opposed to a well-known painting company that we had recently dealt with, who gave no paperwork and not only changed what was agreed upon, but did not finish the job.) Javier met with us and patiently answered every question. Really a nice guy.

We also met a week prior to our start date of the job with Jaime, Project Manager, to discuss outside and inside protection issues of our plants, trees, and inside wall hangings etc., along with the projected daily schedule. Jaime and his men were always on time, working hard each day, practiced COVID manners, took their appropriate and needed breaks during our hot weather, kept me updated, patiently answered all of my questions, and cleaned up at every day’s end. Jaime is a man of integrity for his work and respecting the owner’s home. We have a very high challenging roof with different pitches. I would call it a very scary roof to work on and it is why we waited so long to have our roof redone. I thought it a potential accident waiting to happen, but they tackled it with high skill.

Anytime that I had questions for the office, I loved, Janet, Connie, and Jen answering the phone with their friendly quick and polite assistance. Martha with the accounting department was the best to put it mildly.

Scudders finished to the day that they had said initially it would take, and followed up quickly with their warranty paper work on our roof.

They lived up to their word from the very start through to the end. I can’t imagine our roof looking any nicer. We could not be happier.

Everything was first class from the presentation to the final inspection. Everyone was on time, pleasant, informative and offer suggestions that were in my best interest, not theirs. They kept me informed on what was scheduled and if there were any issues.

I called to get a quote and not only were they prompt, courteous as well as profession, they followed up. I ended up refereed them to my son for solar. They are waiting on the training for the specific solar tiles and had tremendous integrity to let us know they were not ready to move forward yet. I was referred to the Scudder by a friend that used them for solar and roofing. My friend runs one of the largest construction companies in the Monterey Bay. I highly recommend Scudder Roofing!

Scudder has installed solar, Powerwalls, and now a new roof on our house. They may not be the cheapest out there, but they will get the job done painlessly! Never any worry about permits, supplies, or staff - it just works. Highly recommended.

We were storm victims, so we asked a contractor friend who he would use for roofing.... he responded Pete Scudder, let me call him for you. It took one day for the Scudder team to reach out an show up at our home.
They assessed the situation. We concluded a total roof replacement was the best to do considering the age of the existing one.
I shared with them they came highly recommended, I didn't want to shop around. Please put together a proposal and get back to me.

The proposal was quite fair and concise.... We shook hands, I gave them a key. We left for several weeks and returned. We requested daily update, which they did. They assessed and advised as they moved forward. There were a couple areas that needed more attention, which they took care of. They went as far as putting up plastic on the open beamed ceilings to catch any debris that might fall thru.

The experience was like going back 40 years, where a handshake was all that was needed. We must say, the entire experience with the Scudder team, Pete, Javier and Jen couldn't have been better. We thank you all!
