Hired Jared and Greg to upgrade my electrical panel.
Not only the price they quoted was the best, the work completed was excellent !
Above all, both Jared and Greg were patient on answering all your questions and acknowledgeable about what they do !
I will definitely call them when I need electrical service !

Outrageous charges. They charged $700 to put in a new car battery into the generator. which had stopped turning on automatically. It worked once only. I called them back. I was charged $175 to the young man today to turn the generator back on, and he is going to call me back in one week to check if generator turns on as scheduled. I hired the company through home advisor because I thought the company "fixes generators". Greg said they don't fix generators they just check electricity! So if something had been wrong with the generator today I would have paid the initial $700 fee for them putting a car battery to start the generator in the generator, and $175 for todays check, and I would have to pay someone who can fixe generators to come and actually fix it. So I am praying this works. If not I have just thrown away $875 --( minus the cost of a new car battery) for and electric company who can't fix generators.

We were one of the victims of CZU Lightening Complex Fire in Santa Cruz County in Aug 2020 and our house was burned down. One of the first tasks was to restore temporary power to our property. We hired Current Electric and it was one of the best decisions we did in recovery process. Jared and his team handled permit process, dealt with the County, installed power pole and electric panel and worked with PG&E to connect power. We were the first property the whole area to get power back. My neighbors stayed without power for months and were coming to our property to charge their cell phones... Great job. Very reliable company. Strongly recommended.

Jared and Franco are great. They are very knowledgeable. They showed up on time, got the work done and got our project back on track. They were very thorough, we highly recommend them to anyone needing a professional and detail oriented team. Top marks. We will use them in the future for other projects.

We are always very careful hiring someone to do electrical work. Jared is very skilled and extremely safety conscious. He has found wiring issues while working on our jobs, and corrected the problems on the spot. We have used hime for large and small jobs and are always impressed with his expertise and efficiency. He works quickly, conscious of time. We highly recommend him.

So I met Jared when he was hired to work on my sisters home in Pacifica. I had a chance to witness him doing the work coming in after another guy messed up. Since he was so super friendly professional, and showing me a few things, I decided to hire him on other locations. He’s worked on about five homes under my supervision and care. He certainly has the knowledge and experience to do the job right. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him or his company. I will be calling on him again. In fact, where are you Jared? I need you!

We contracted Jared to expand our electric service panel but he ended up ghosting on the project after taking our (sizeable) deposit. We've tried repeatedly contacting him but he has not been responsive. I am not sure if he is still in business at this point.

The work has been done neatly. I highly recommend this provider. One thing I would like to call out: This provider offers free estimate by asking clients to send phones to them. This is very helpful during the COVID-19 situation. Compared to other providers, some still need to come to house and charge for estimate in first visit.

We recently used Bay Lighting and Power to rewire our entire house and we could not be happier with their work and professionalism! Mark and his crew did a excellent job. They were punctual and even took some extra time to explain things to us (we are newbie homeowners and don’t know much about electrical systems). These guys are def our go-to electricians and we highly recommend them.

Overall: Mark is an expert electrician. He listens to what you want and offers efficient and cost effective solutions and designs. He is responsible and their price is fair. I can tell he really cares about his work. He is dependable and professional. When it comes to complicated electrical problems, you can always count on Bay Power and Lighting.

Bathroom vent installation: He recommended a dependable vent model and explained why it was important to get a better model for about the same price. I love learning and he and his team didn't mind explaining things to me while they were working. He and his team have a great attitude and respect their customers.

Ceiling fan installation: Though I didn't often use my outdoor ceiling fan/light, it broke after 3 years. Mark took great care in assembling the fan and installing it and making sure it was balanced. He told me the key to keeping a ceiling fan lasting a long time is ensure it's balanced.

Electrical outlets: My garbage disposal stopped working. Mark did a quick troubleshoot and determined the wiring went bad. My house is over 60 years old and the wiring probably was never upgraded. He fixed it quickly. I appreciate his responsiveness and expertise.

I highly recommend Bay Power and Lighting! Mark is very professional and honest, which is really hard to find in contractors.

Incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind. I called in the middle of the night to report an issue with my electricity. Alex picked up immediately, listened to everything I had to say, and gave me the most honest advice possible. From his experience, he immediately suspected it was a PG&E issue, advising me to call PG&E instead of charging me anything. Alex’s kind and honest advice saved me unnecessary expenses and inconvenience. He is an honest guy who means very well for all his customers.

I am very pleased with the work completed by bay lighting at my home. They tackled a very complicated project that a previous contractor failed to do. Mark was very knowledgeable and did not mind explaining and answering all the many questions we had. Their work was very clean and even received compliments from the city inspector. Overall, I highly recommend Mark and his team and I won’t hesitate to call them again for any future projects.

They were so responsive and willing to work with us to get the timing just right for our work. They were professional and showed up on time. Awesome service! Very knowledgeable technicians, easy to schedule. After they had installed an EV charger there was a problem with a tripping breaker whenever we tried to charge, they came back the other day and fixed it immediately.

Brilliant did an excellent job of assessing our environment and making a good recommendation and then executing the installation at high quality. They were very knowledgeable of the the Electric car charger installations.
