The staff at Miller Sloat is downright amazing. I asked them to order a bunch of Venus Fly Traps for me (kids birthday party favors). They weren't my first call (but they will be from here on out), and a few other places I tried told me they were too hard to order in quantity. Sloat said no problem and ordered them the next day. The plants arrived a few weeks earlier than I needed. Instead of handing them off to me so I could do a bad job taking care of them at home, Steve (Sloat manager) offered to sell them in the store and reorder closer to my timeline. Throughout the entire process, the staff was incredibly communicative and generous. They wouldn't even take a deposit, but I am going to head down there today and insist they let me pay up front. I would give Sloat Miller 10 stars if I could.

Everything you need for gardening. Excellent staff that is really knowledgeable about products and growing things — specifically the grow zones in the area. TIP: If they don’t have it — they can order it for you.

I love this small chain of garden centers, they carry a lot of inventory, team is very knowledgeable, it's my favorite place to buy plants and garden supplies.

Regrettably we found this firm to not add value to our project. Erik Olsen was the one saving grace. There were difficulties in communication with HQ and Brad never really seemed to listen to our needs. There was no formal "intake process" so at every turn when we stated the obvious for us... the team seemed lost and confused. Conversely I think they thought the same about us... but this was really not a good fit for backyard design project. Erik was kind and responsive and brought some practical ideas to the table. But that was a long time and quite a bit of change to get so little from the arrangement. Sorry to report our disappointment... but hoping to spare others the same experience. Just do your due diligence and make sure you like their style and attitude before taking the plunge. Some of their past clients spoke very highly of them - so I'm sure it's a good fit for some. Just not us. Big time.

Bill and his crew at Golden Gate Tree care are amazing. They were on time, within budget, and did such amazing job of taking out my old olive tree, the yard was cleaner than before they came. The crew were polite, and knew what they were doing. I highly recommend them!

Stop searching and call Golden Gate Tree Care! We recently moved to Marin and wanted to trim the trees surrounding our house. Within a day of calling, Bill walked our property with us, explained his recommendations, and presented a fair quote. His team was professional, knowledgeable, and very efficient. We are very happy with the work, and our trees look much healthier!

Bob and team did a wonderful job removing trees in our yard. They were efficient and clean (cleaned up all the debris after the tree trimming and removal). They were reliable and efficient. Bob is personable and very easy to work with. I strongly recommend Bob's Firesafe team!

We've used Bob's Tree Service several times for tree trimming and removal. Never been disappointed. Always on time, the crews are very friendly, work is completed in a timely manner, and more than once they have completed the job for less than the estimate. Bob is a character and it's always fun to share stories of 'old Mill Valley'.

Bob's Tree Service came in to clean up some redwood trees that suffered damages from a storm -- big job at a reasonable cost. Bob was very responsive and took great care to save what was left with our redwoods. They also removed some dead trees and pruned what was worth saving on our property. Bob and his team took great care in choosing what should stay and what should go.

Couldn't be happier with Bob and his team. They did a fantastic job at our property with a big tree in a tough location. Bob is a fantastic communicator, and his team is professional and efficient. There were even a couple minor hiccups during the job, and Bob sent over a team the very next day to clean everything up and make everything perfect. It was a pleasure working with these guys.

Bob & team did a great job shaping a massive Douglas fir tree for us. We feel much safer without the overextended limbs, and the tree looks amazing. They restored its natural conical shape.

Bob's Firesafe did an amazing job on taking down a huge bay tree that was leaning over our neighbor's house.

Several friends had recommended them, so I called Bob and he was able to get out the next day. He had some recommendations of what to do to the tree to maximize safety and minimize costs for us. He was really easy to work with and not pushy at all. He was interesting to talk to and he was nice to my kids.

His estimate came in at about 2/3 of what other companies quoted. They started the job just a day or two later, and his crew was just as nice, honest, and competent as he was (shout out to Tony and Manny). They cleaned up meticulously.

I'm already looking at a couple other jobs to hire them for---support a long-time Mill Valley resident who treats his crew well and doesn't price gouge his customers!

Bob and his team are very professional. They removed a 70+ foot pine tree from our backyard in San Francisco. It was a really challenging job due to limited space and access to the street, but the team handled it as safely and efficiently as possible. While not inexpensive, the price was fair in comparison with the big tree companies. I would highly recommend Bob and his team. They are really good people as well.

Bob's team cut and hauled away a giant oak tree that fell on our property. They were fast, efficient and friendly. And they cleaned up after themselves! I have another oak tree that needs pruning and I will use their services again.
