Recently, we remodeled our home. The house was built in 1972 and needed a serious upgrade that included the kitchen, master and guest bathrooms as well as the master and guest bedrooms.

In addition, the driveway and rear patio required replacement.

To accomplish these tasks, we needed to hire a quality contractor who would give us a fair bid. We interviewed approximately 20 contractors until we met IGS.

We selected them because of their honesty, fairness and family business. We discovered that we made the right decision.

They were easy to talk to and always available to answer our questions. Maria took us to different businesses to help us select cabinets and fixtures to facilitate the remodel process.

Furthermore, asbestos needed to be removed from the ceilings and floors. IGS put us in touch with a quality and affordable asbestos abatement company.

IGS accomplished their tasks on time and on budget. The workers showed up on time and demonstrated quality workmanship. They kept the house secure and private.

Invoices came on the contractual dates and there were no payment problems.

We are very happy that we have chosen IGS construction and if we need construction in the future, they will be our first choice.

Ignacio and his team are professional, courteous, and do a great job. Him and his team went above and beyond while working on my bathroom remodel. My husband and I hired Stuart Hunter / Hunter Construction Inc. for a whole home remodel. Our experience with this contractor, his company, his subcontractors and everyone in between was a disaster. From his initial "scope of work" budget to his timelines you can expect nothing but dissappointment. What you should expect is double the time and double the money and a lack of quality and consistency of work! Stuart Hunter continually lied to us throughout the process, lacked work ethic and was unethical in his business practices throughout our project.
We have been in our home, post construction approximately 2 months, and the quality of finish work is nothing short of disappointing with many materials already showing major issues such as cracking and splitting amongst many other things.
His Houzz reviews are bogus and have been provided by many of his work "colleagues" to boost his ratings. I can attest to this as they were subcontractors that had to be called in to rescue our project in the end due to his negligence and mismanagement.

Stu remodeled our kitchen and family room with custom cabinets, granite counter tops and recessed lighting in only 12 weeks. High quality work, did good job monitoring his subcontractors work, was very responsive to our questions and final cut list. Highly recommend.

Over the past 14 years we have had only impeccable home improvements with Jason and First Choice. Responsive, quality service with prices that are extremely reasonable. Jason is professional and personable and we completely trust him and his crew. An example: 5 years ago my 12 year old daughter battled cancer for a year. In the midst of chemo we had a sewer blockage and needed half our house gutted and redone. At the same time we had to fly to NYC for my daughters surgery. We felt 100% comfortable leaving the job in Jason’s hands. After a month back East, we returned to a beautifully done home with new walls, ceiling, floors, guest room and full bath. Any tweaks (I’m super visual and particular about certain things) were immediately done to our approval quickly and professionally. I can’t recommend First Choice and Jason enough and have done so to the thanks of many friends. I highly recommend them.

I met Jason through my realtor when I moved to Dana Point in 2014. Since then, Jason and his team gutted and refurbished two homes for me: a 1974 townhome in Dana Point and a 1959 "uber fixer" in San Clemente. Jason was instrumental in redesigning the interior spaces including moving walls, enlarging inadequate closet space, installing two new kitchens and four baths, flooring, tile, lighting, appliances, fireplaces, and custom windows and doors. Jason helped me select all surface finishes and directed me to excellent providers. He also arranged for a smooth stucco restoration and two retaining walls--very important in the hills of south Orange County. Jason designed and implemented a stunning outdoor space complete with artificial turf, fire pit, custom mailbox, and custom bench seating.

Jason started with a written contract, collected funds as we moved through the project, came to my home nearly every day to check on work being done, finished on time and on budget. I sold my Dana Point home two years after purchasing it (and Jason's excellent reno) for 40 percent more than I paid for it. Similarly, I sold my San Clemente home for 43 percent more than my all-in costs. After leaving Orange County, Jason assisted me in finding contractors and painters in my new town.

I would trust Jason and his team with ANY PROJECT of ANY SIZE. I have referred him to numerous friends, and they were all delighted with his work. One friend decided to use a different contractor who could start more quickly than Jason and ended up having Jason and team come to finish the job and save the project.

1st Choice was highly recommended from a very close realtor friend. I purchased an old condo that needed a total remodel. Jason Clark was hired to pull permits, demolition, new flooring, new cabinets, A/c Soffits, Laundry room, replace all showers, kitchen and windows with automatic shutters. The project scheduled for three months but completed in 4 because of my modification to plans. Not only 1st Choice completed the project to my expectation but superseded my goals. The owner and the team was on time, courteous and professional. One of the best contracting company I have hired.

They were a referral. Scheduled an appointment, he came by scoped the project and then went dark. He replied to one email stating he would submit a bid, but that never happened. It's not that hard to send a note saying your going to pass on a project.

A year and a half ago remodeled my kitchen. This was my third kitchen remodel and it was the best. On time, on budget and I have an awesome kitchen. Flash to the week before Xmas 2024. I had a big leak in my house and, finally, had reached the time for reconstruction. Steve responded promptly, sent his crew, completed the job quickly, on budget and we can relax and enjoy our home for the holidays. I highly recommend this company.

We reached out to a local roofing company in Mission Viejo for a quote on replacing our roof, skylights, and gutters. Damian helped us with the estimate and explained all the options for the roofing and skylight work. One of our skylights was a special size and needed to be custom made, but Damian kept us updated right away and gave us choices on how to move forward. He always responded quickly to our texts, which made the process easy. The roofing crew arrived as scheduled, removed the old roof, took care of all necessary repairs, and installed the new skylights that were ready. Their team worked efficiently and did a fantastic job cleaning up after themselves—there were no nails or debris left behind. We were really impressed with how smoothly and quickly everything was finished. We’re still waiting for the gutter installation, but based on the great quality of work so far, we’re confident the gutter team will be just as professional.
