Masonry Contractor reviews in Modesto, California

The most expensive concrete company I’ve ever dealt with, no I didn’t use their service, their estimate was at $18 per square foot for regular concrete, as a contractor myself I know they should be charging $5 to $7 psf. For regular broom finish concrete in this area, no pump need it for this pour also, No justification for such a price
Price couching at it’s finest.

This is what I’ve received on DM. From this company.

I don’t want and never will use such people for any services.
I feel very threatened!

La compañía HSD Masonry del Sr Daniel Mendoza acaba de terminar un trabajo en mi casa y lo recomiendo es una persona profesional y el trabajo excelente.

Daniel did an amazing job! He works efficiently and pays close attention to exactly what his clients want. He truly goes above and beyond, and you can tell he takes pride in his work. Our backyard turned out beautiful and is now such a great, family-friendly space. What impressed me most was how quickly he completed everything—no delays, no excuses, just quality results. He is very trustworthy and easy to work with. We will definitely be calling him again for future projects. Highly recommend—thank you, Daniel!

Never showed up and never even called waited all day

Loved the work done.

Fantastic work with HSD Masonry.

Amazing work by Daniel and his team. Would highly recommend to anyone !

Daniel is a great person . I recommend his work and his good customer service.

Daniel did a great job on the design of our back yard! Everything turned out better than we expected.

Amazing company, Daniel quickly helped me sort my ideas and did an amazing job creating our brick masterpiece. So thankful for the hard work!

Daniel assured me he could do the repair using the same bricks. During the repair, I let him know it was crooked and not spaced properly. It still ended up looking terrible in the end.

My brand new windows were scratched by workers, seal around trim has cracks after 1 week, I caught him using cheaper brick sealant than he told me he would use which left ugly film.
He agreed that it looked bad, and apologized, but would rather not give me a significant discount or re-do the work.
He charged me hundreds of dollars extra for additional bricks that he failed to prove he bought and which his workers told me weren't bought (part of his reason that the work looked bad was that new bricks were not the same size as my original ones......so where are all the new ones I paid for right?!).

Landscaping was destroyed, and work site was left messy.

I paid in full to avoid additional stress and time. My one consolation is that my review will save others from experiencing shoddy work.

I had Daniel install some pavers and stone in my backyard and he did a wonderfull job.

Very professional guy and responsible.
I would recommend HSD Mansonry to anyone that wants affordable and good work done.

Daniel was quick to return my call about leaks in our brickwork. He was punctual, efficient, and a pleasure to work with during the process to fix the leaks!

I'm not a customer..but he agreed to came to my house and give me an estimate on some work I needed done . But then when I was honest to him and said I had a couple other estimates he then texted me saying he was no longer interested. And proceeded to tell me that he wasn't going to waste his time and gas for me to be price matching. I told him that I had the right to price match and that was very unprofessional and I was going to leave a review. And he said he would sue me..lol this guy is a joke thank God he showed what he's all about before starting work at my house.

We had HSD Masonry come do a retaining wall for us in the backyard! Communication was very good, we had a quote and 1 week later they were starting the work!

Daniel and his team do phenomenal work. Daniel has great ideas and is an artist in his design and very professional and creative.

Extremely happy

Daniel is a great contractor he helped me redo my back yard. In a timely manner. He stayed within budget and on time. I will recommend him to anyone.

I recently used Services from Daniel and his team for my backyard concrete. I got a good pricing as well as quick quality service for concrete and a side wall. It helped me complete my backyard work timely and within my budget. He also provided me some free upgrades to do the sealer on the concrete as well.. really appreciate his services and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for landscaping services!!
