I'd give them zero stars if I could, but one star seems too generous. My AC unit was a disaster on August 29, 2023 - the temperature outside was through the roof, and my furnace just ran without producing any cool air. I needed help ASAP, so I called around to find someone who could come quickly. Most companies couldn't fit me in until the weekend or next week.

I ended up calling Daikin Comfort Pro because I have a Daikin HVAC system, hoping they'd be experts on the job. They promised a same-day visit, which was a relief. The technician arrived and diagnosed the issue - but instead of explaining what it was, he simply said the pressure was too high and needed to replace the TXV valve inside the coil in the unit. He warned that this would be a labor-intensive process.

The lady who sent the technician over gave me a quote of $1500 for the fix, which seemed outrageous. However, they offered to waive the $120 I'd already paid for the initial visit, so the new price was $1380. I asked if there was any wiggle room, but she only offered a $100 discount, making it $1280.

As soon as the technician started talking about the TXV replacement, my gut told me something was off. My AC unit is around 5-6 years old - not that young. I also had some friends who referred me to another technician, and they came out the next day and fixed the issue for a ridiculously low price. It turned out the problem wasn't the TXV valve after all.

Needless to say, I would never recommend this company to anyone. They're unprofessional, unethical, and clearly take advantage of people who don't know any better.

Online research led me to Daikin Comfort Pro, where I spoke with Ariel over the phone. It turned out the Daikin Fit is an exclusive system, only available through DCP dealers. Although DCP isn't in my area, their representatives were remarkably professional and courteous, providing great support despite not being local.
