We hired Gonzalez Landscaping and Tree Service for tree trimming and yard cleanup, and they did an excellent job. The team was professional, careful with the trees, and left everything clean and well maintained.

DO NOT USE THIS IRRESPONSIBLE CONTRACTOR! jon Gonzalez pruned several Oak Trees in our HOA Common Area. We had an agreement that they would not cut any limb larger than 2" in diameter. They trimmed several branches larger than 2" which caused us to get a city code violation resulting in thousand of dollars to obtain an arborist assessment report and file a retroactive permit application. They have refused to take responsibility for their action or return our calls.

We have a palm tree that's the bane of our existence. It's so healthy and fertile that it needs trimming twice a year, by a professional with a license and insurance, since it's so tall and a dangerous job. It was hard to get other tree services to come out, unless I needed the whole yard trimmed, and when they did come out, they charged me a fortune, twice a year, to barely keep it under control. I found Gonzales on the internet last year, and checked out their license and insurance online. They came out for just the crazy palm tree last time, and charged me way less than I thought the job was worth, a fraction of what I had been paying other services for the last 12 years. I just had them back to do the whole yard, and again, they're charging much less than what I've paid other services in the area. This company is a godsend.

Gonzales Landscaping is the best tree service in the Thousand Oaks area. Not only are their prices the lowest I've paid, but they're very professional, prompt, and the crew does a great job.

Hired them to remove concrete, find & fix a broken drain pipe, cut tree roots, trim trees, replace concrete. They did a great job at a good price. The entire crew was friendly and worked quickly. I will use them again. My neighbors are having them do work too.

I thought it was nice that the owners 15 year old son worked with him. I also liked getting the bid directly from the owner who was also on site doing a lot of the work with his crew and supervising the entire process.

I had to give one star but I do not think that they deserve this. The owner Hector goes back on his word and makes empty promises. Make sure you get everything he promises in writing because he will say it's a communication problem on the customer side. He landscaped our yard using our same plants and never delivered the plants he promised. Instead, he used my little flowers for decor which was inadequate. The workers/staff were great and diligent. The yard (front yard) was not finished and is horrible and not worth the $5K. Rude, dishonest, and not worth the price. The tree service is great, LANDSCAPING is horrible. Just after your $$

I have hired Jonathan and his crew twice now and been very happy with their work. They clean up the backyard so nicely from the tree trimming branches will definitely hire them next year thanks Jonathan and crew.!👍😀

My 1/4 acre hillside backyard plants had not been pruned or the dead leaves cleaned in four years. They were wild and totally overgrown. Cipriano and one of his employees spent a full day and did an outstanding job. The price was reasonable and less than other simple gardeners had quoted. I then asked him back to fix and trench all the broken irrigation pipes and repair drip lines that had lain unattended for years. He spent a day and a half, but finally I have an irrigation system that works!! His price was reasonable for this amount of time.

Brooks did an amazing job on my project. New pool, spa, driveway, hardscape and landscape. Every thing turned out amazing. He handled design, planning, permitting, demolition, construction, irrigation, drainage, softscaping. Everything was beautiful in the end. Great work!

Brooks always gave me a fair proposal for work done. He landscaped my front yard including walkways, drip system, turf, plants and trees and it turned out beautiful. His guys worked hard and were on time and cleaned up after themselves. Then he landscaped my back hill with plants, drip system and mulch, and again, it turned out great. Brooks is my go-to guy for any landscape needed.

Brooks did a fantastic job on our front and backyard landscape. He came to house , became one with the property and created a beautiful landscape that really makes the house stand out.
Very easy to work with, reasonable and honest. Still use him on other projects a year after he completed yard. Highly Recommend.

Unfortunately our insurance company approached us and told us if we didn’t obtain a Wildfire Certificate we would be dropped. This required us to do an almost complete re-landscaping of our yard. Fortunately we found Brooks. My wife and I are not green-thumbs. Brooks was able to come in and provide a design that we ended up loving. He worked with us to incorporate design elements we liked as well as working with the company doing the final inspection for our fire certificate to make sure his designs would comply with the rules to get the certificate. He even came out for a video conference to make sure we understood all the rules that needed to be followed for planting. He also worked directly with our HOA when there were questions about the design and what we needed to submit to them for approval.

Brooks’ crew was extremely efficient and friendly and Brooks was on site multiple times each week once work started to make sure things were going as planned. He was also very flexible, there were a couple of extra projects we threw out last minute that we thought we might as well do while we were redesigning things and he didn’t have a problem with anything. The final price was also just about exactly what he quoted us up front.

Overall Brooks was a pleasure to work with and we love the final product. We’ve already recommended him to several of our neighbors with no reservations about the quality of work and service he would provide.

We used Brooks Landscape to completely redesign our front yard and back yard. They had amazing design ideas and worked with us to get the very best out of our space.
