About the business:

After working in the industry since 1991 for other home elevator and accessibility contractors , Scott Britton and Brian Hofacre set out on our own and formed Benchmark Home Elevator in 2007. The business incorporated in 2017 as Benchmark Home Elevator Inc, with Scott Britton now serving as President and majority owner.

We soon began specializing in stairway chairlifts after realizing that most of the equipment installed by the competition was either overpriced, poorly installed, lacked customer service, or a combination of the three.

By staying relatively small and doing all of our installations ourselves, we are able to maintain a level of quality that larger companies cannot achieve while keeping overhead and prices low. We've long held that doing it right the first time is the way to save time, headaches, and money for both our customers, and for all of us as well.
