Inverted Electric evaluated my existing 13 year old solar system, and found 5 of the 20 panels were not working. They went up on the roof to do this. The "other" company that had installed it came out and did not even go up on the roof to check the existing system, and couldn't even tell me if it was working or not. So I hired Inverted Electric to install my new system. They got it done fast and now I can go to an app on my phone to check that the system is working. So far so good. I trust Inverted Electric and recommend them.

James and his crew were stellar during our solar install. Personable yet professional, efficient, as well as mindful of our schedules, privacy and power needs. They even did it in the middle of a heatwave without complaint or issue! They also cleaned up some questionable wiring in our electrical panel at no extra cost. James got us setup with the monitoring app for our system and trained us how to use it. Its a great system, well planned, and we're so happy to not have to stress about high utility bills or power outages!

After researching solar from multiple companies and consulting with a local industry expert, we finally connected with Inverted.
Andy and Sean were amazing to work with from the very beginning. They carefully and thoughtfully walked through the entire process with us, making sure appropriate expectations were set and we had clear information on all aspects of the project, should we choose to work with them. They weren't pushy, but were enthusiastic. You can tell they are passionate about it!
It's important to consider if solar maths out for your home, especially when living in a tree-dense environment like Alta Sierra. Some companies will happily fill up your roof with 50 panels and set you up on a yearly rate escalator that you will have to consider passing on to the next buyer of your house.
Inverted guided us through the process to consider the balance of new equipment cost, strategically removing trees, and the monthly / yearly offset from our PGE bills.
Not only was working with Andy and Sean informative, but it was always fun!
Re: quality of work. Once you have chosen a company to work with, no matter how much research you do you eventually have to trust that they will actually provide quality service and install.
James is experienced and a perfectionist.
This is a huge investment. It will effect the look of your house and how you interact with your electrical infrastructure for the next 25+ years. Suffice it to say I was pleased with the workmanship. This was further backed up when the inspector mentioned that "He inspects solar installs all over the county, many times per day/ month and this is some the highest quality work he's seen".
The system continues to perform at or above expectations. We are SO happy to have some ability to offset / escape PGE's monopolistic rule. With out Franklin battery system we don't even notice the random neighborhood outages except walking outside and hearing that our neighbors Generacs have kicked on. Working from home, this is huge.
I don't usually leave this extensive a review but thought it might help the next person who is stuck with analysis paralysis, looking for a good solar solution. When you are considering a ~50k investment that will potentially effect your current lifestyle and future home value, it's important to work with the right people.

We analyzed so many different types of offers and going with Inverted Electric was the best price, incredibly quick installation, and the team was available for questions and continues to be available for any follow up questions, anytime I want. Overall, we had a good experience with Inverted Electric. The upfront process was great, clear communication and everything was explained. The install went smoothly. I do wish there was more guidance at the end on how the system works along with the app and how to get the best use out of it for our specific needs. That said, the system is running well and we are happy with the final result. I’d still recommend them for their solid product and knowledgeable team.

After a few years of looking at solar for our newly purchased house in Alta Sierra, we were recommended Inverted Electric and I'm so glad to say we made the right choice. I would highly recommend them for any solar projects if you want a no pressure, highly informative, and genuinely nice team of Andy, Sean, and James.

After going back and forth to determine if solar made sense for our house and talking to multiple companies, this was the first time I felt completely comfortable taking the plunge with a project like this. Our goal going into solar was not only to reduce our crazy PG&E bill, but also to have an alternative to outages than a noisy generator. I'm happy to say our solution hits all our goals and then some and we've weathered multiple summer outtages without a hitch.

Installation was super easy and the team did a great job, especially James who has an incredible eye for detail. There was a few tweaks that need to be made after we were live (not due to IE guys but manufacturer installation instructions with incorrect information), but James made that right quickly and even helped us out with a few other small projects from previous home owners that were less than professionally done.

We're really pleased with the Franklin system as it was a great alternative to Tesla and we've had a really fun time learning the app and geeking out over the numbers of our production. I'm glad they didn't just go with the cheapest gear as this is an investment for our house and our future.

This is a company you can trust and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone, even if you aren't sure solar is right for you like we were. 10/10 would recommend!

Let’s talk pricing! We got a quote from a big brand solar company that tried to sell us a system well over $100,000 dollars and they tried to get us to sign a lease agreement that we would never even own the system! Terrible deal!

A local company quoted the same size system that we got and it was still $20,000 more!

Inverted electric gave us the best deal and we’ve received multiple compliments from other contractors that were impressed with how clean the installation was! They went above and beyond and never changed the quote that we signed. It’s been nice to go from an average bill of $600-$800 a month from PG&E down to a couple hundred with natural gas included in that bill as well!

It is now day 4 in January with the sun out and we’ve been powering our whole house off grid and using our batteries and solar system only to run our whole house! If you’ve done this much reading or research regarding solar stop!! Take a deep breath and just call Andy or Sean you’ll thank me later!
