I don't usually review but wanted to share my experience. I connected with J&Q because of their 5 star rating on Google.

Our dishwasher started to leak and flooded our kitchen. We called J&Q because they were "open" (on a Sunday) and had 5-stars. I was told that someone could come out tomorrow, which I understood because it was Sunday, but soon after I received a call that someone could come to that day. Great! They let me know it would be $65 for a diagnostic fee, but that would be subtracted from the overall total. All seemed okay.

The man arrived and started to remove parts from the dishwasher. He asked what the problem was and we told him. He continued to ask questions, but started saying, "I don't know, I don't know." Not something you want to hear from someone that is supposed to fix your appliance. After about 5 minutes, it seemed he still didn't know the problem, but seemed to land on fixing the water intake valve as the solution. I asked how much he thought that piece might be because I wanted to get an idea of how much this repair would cost. He didn't know. He said he didn't have the part, but he would order the part tomorrow and return tomorrow afternoon to fix the problem. Questionable. We paid him $65 dollars, but not to J&Q Appliances, we wrote the check to "We Repair." That seemed questionable to me as well.

The next day (Monday), I hear nothing, I call J&Q, they say they will call the technician. He calls back within a few minutes, and asks if I want to order the part, and he would be out the next day to repair. He tells me it will $250 for the part/repair. Did he make that up? Questionable. Okay, but he was already supposed to have the part and be back to repair. I feel like I am getting duped. He is delaying the repair. I log into my bank and the check has already cleared my bank. Seems fast, considering he hasn't done the repair.

The next day, I receive a text around the time he was supposed to return to repair the dishwasher that says he has an emergency and he won't be able to come. I respond by asking if someone else might be able to come to make the repair. At this point, we have waited a couple of days with little confidence the repair would be complete. He calls me within minutes and starts to yell that his friend's mother is dying! This has been the most odd exchange I have had with a "professional."

I called J&Q and they seemed cooperative and indicated they would call the technician. The technician calls me back and yells at me again. I call back J&Q and ask for my "diagnostic fee" back and he tells me that he can't because it's used for "gas money."

I question the legitimacy of this "business." This "business" is questionable and should not be trusted. I just wanted my experience to be in the mix of their "5-star" rating. The rating is inaccurate, doesn't paint a true picture, and people should pause before considering using this "company." Beware!

J & Q Appliances Repair Centreville is an impressive company! My refrigerator would suddenly turn off by itself which is not good for the food preservation.
