Matt did the inspection for an Oakhurst property that I'm helping a client to buy. He has been delightful to work with throughout the experience--scheduling the inspection on short notice, working thoroughly and patiently in spite of hot weather and less than adequate cooling, and promptly delivering a clear report--even though he was leaving on a trip the day after the inspection. He even offered to provide ongoing advice and help for my client after she moves into the area. He has won my trust, and I feel lucky to have found him!

I recently purchased a home in the Sierra Foothills and Matt was my home inspector on not only this home but on one I was considering back in 2017 in the area. I have found on both occasions Matt to be a seasoned professional who is very knowledgeable at his trade and is easy to communicate with. Most importantly he was good at volunteering information I hadn't thought of other then just answering my questions, addressing my concerns and providing a report. My recent purchase was an "as is" home that needed a lot of work so Matt really took the time go over all the systems and issues I should know as if he were the purchaser and followed up with a very frank discussion of what I needed to know afterwards. He even went out of his way to try and trouble shoot the furnace which was not working to see if he could determine if it was an easy fix or more involved which it turned out to be the later. If your seeking a home inspector who you can trust, communicate with and knows his craft well in my opinion you need look no further then Matt with High Sierra Inspections, you'll be glad you meant the guy and I highly recommend his services.

Matt is very professional, very patient. He took his time to check carefully no matter what seller says. His report is very clear and detailed. And he will explain everything during or after inspection (again and again if you forgot to ask sth).

We needed to have a home inspected before we bought it. We were very fortunate to have Matt Henderson perform it for us. He arrived when scheduled, did an amazingly thorough, professional, and detailed review, and wrote up his results so that they were a fair and balanced account of the status of all of the major systems of the home and of its construction and maintenance. He carefully explained everything that we did not understand, and has provided us with advice ever since we bought and moved into the home. We felt very comfortable with the purchase, and we have had no surprises, only spectacularly happy results. It was well worth it to contact Mr. Henderson for the inspection. If I ever need another home or property inspection, I will contact him immediately. I give him my highest and most positive recommendation.

Matt is a consummate professional and takes the time to explain everything. He takes his job very seriously and places the needs of his clients above everything else. I felt so comfortable with Matt that some time after purchasing our home I had him return to inspect a crack in some concrete under carpeting in a living room that caused me some concern. Matt took time to eliminate major concerns in regard to structural settling and satisfied me that they were typical seismic cracks that could be filled in. He pointed out the reasons why it wasn't a big concern and was very reassuring. More recently, I referred Matt to family members when they bought their first home. They used him and their anxiety was much reduced watching and listening to Matt go through all the details of his thorough inspection. His report was detailed, organized and left nothing out.

I give Matt the highest recommendation. He is honest, reliable and knowledgeable. Property transactions are stressful for sure. Having an inspector you like and trust makes all the difference!

Matt was super-patient and took the time to explain everything in detail. For some areas of specific concern, he took time out to explore those items as well. I've hired him twice, once for commercial, once for a condo, and he did a great job on both engagements, providing the needed photos and written documentation needed to tighten the offer in each case.

I was forwarded Matt's info from a list of prospective inspectors for a home I am purchasing within the next few weeks. I contacted multiple companies, hoping for someone that could do a good job. After my research, I felt Matt was a great choice as he not only had lower prices than competitors but also was full of information! His website alone is very thorough and gives a great idea of what to expect in the process of inspections. He has been great with communication, was on top of things and great to work with! And do not be afraid to ask questions! He's very prompt with responses and very nice as well.

I purchased a newer home last year and had Matt as my inspector. He was referred to me by Redfin. I felt Matt rushed through our home inspection and didn't have the proper tools on him to do a full detailed inspection. I believe he felt the home was newer so everything would be fine. We've caught things since. He also came off rude. I wont be referring his services.
