Reviews of local pros in Oak Park, California

We met with multiple landscape design firms before deciding on our artificial turf project. This particular company stood out with their superior quality turf products. As soon as we were shown the Shaw grass samples, all other samples paled in comparison, seeming almost toy-like. Our interaction with Clarence was exceedingly positive. He was the most responsive landscape designer we came across. From the outset, we found Clarence trustworthy as he not only promoted his own products but also took the time to educate us on the entire category of artificial turf products. He guided us on how to choose the most appropriate turf, the differences between various products, and what questions to ask prospective landscape design contractors. Our project also necessitated the construction of a retaining wall to level the yard's slope. Here, Clarence managed to involve his landscaping partner promptly to devise a solution that didn't need an Oak Park city permit. Thus, it was an easy choice for us to select Clarence for our project. Our backyard spans approximately 1800 sqft and is situated downhill from the house. On the first day of the project, we encountered unexpected access issues. However, Clarence managed to find alternative solutions within a matter of hours to ensure the project's timeline was maintained. His team, including Kai and Lucas, skillfully moved all base materials manually, navigating a steep slope and numerous steps to get them where they needed to be. Despite these challenges, the project was completed a day earlier than promised. Now, we take pleasure in our stunning turf every day. It truly looks spectacular!

We had a problem with water not draining properly from our roof downspouts to the curb in our front yard here in Oak Park. After two other landscape companies couldn't fix it, we reached out to a new landscape designer recommended by a neighbor. Clarence and his crew came to take a look, and they found out that a fence post put in by the previous owner had damaged the underground drain. Within a week, they solved the drainage problem. They even showed us photos of the issue and how they repaired it. We were very happy with their professional landscaping service and fair pricing.

Kai, Clarence, Lucas and their crew recently transformed my backyard into a paradise. They provide a comprehensive suite of services including grading, fencing, concrete work, sodding, and planting. The yard, which was initially hard dirt, was expertly graded by them in just a few days. They also erected a robust and aesthetically pleasing fence that has added to the appeal of our outdoor space. In order to extend our sitting areas, they seamlessly integrated new concrete with the existing one. Not to mention, the fire pit they constructed is a real showstopper and matches the color scheme of our house perfectly. Throughout the project, the team maintained excellent communication with my spouse and me, ensuring our vision was fully realized. The whole project was completed in just a little over two weeks, which speaks volumes about their efficiency. The quality of their workmanship, punctuality, and remarkable customer service is commendable. If you're in Oak Park and thinking about giving your backyard a facelift, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these landscape designers. They truly know how to bring your dreams to life!

I'm thrilled to share my positive experience with this landscape design service. After a decade of unintentional neglect, our irrigation system was in desperate need of repair and improvement. Our landscape designer, Lucas, conducted a thorough inspection, fixing a few issues along the way, and then proposed a plan to address our various problems. We decided to go with their suggestions and I'm more than happy to give them the highest praise. They demonstrated diligence, professionalism, and were pleasant and knowledgeable. We've decided to bring them back every six months for reassessment and any necessary repairs. I'm grateful for those who shared their positive feedback and gave me the confidence to choose this landscape design service. A big thank you to the entire team.

If you need a landscape designer, I highly recommend the team at Cricket Pavers & Outdoor Landscaping. From the first call to the final payment, Kai and his crew exceeded our expectations. Their customer service, attention to detail, and the quality of their work made the entire experience enjoyable. I appreciated the consistent communication and the patience they showed in answering all my questions. I felt assured that the project would turn out just as we envisioned, and they truly delivered!

My spouse and I decided to revamp our petite patio area. After conducting some research, we discovered Cricket Pavers & Outdoor Landscaping. A call was placed to schedule a consultation, and we had the pleasure of speaking with Clarence. He was extremely pleasant, promptly reached out to us and was able to come by within a day. Upon meeting him, we found Clarence to be incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and not at all pushy. He suggested specific landscaping designs and even took the time to visit us a second time, to show my spouse all the different options. This demonstrated his remarkable attention to detail. A few days later, a team of four skilled landscapers arrived, ready to work. They did an outstanding job, demonstrating their expertise and dedication by working diligently with minimal breaks, all while delivering exceptional results. Lucas, one of the team members, even stopped by on the day of the work to ensure everything was progressing smoothly. When the work was completed, they left us with a beautifully transformed and clean patio. My spouse and I were beyond satisfied with the results. If you're considering a landscape transformation for your backyard or front yard in Oak Park, I can't recommend their services highly enough.

When it comes to landscaping and garden care, finding a reliable, affordable, and stylish company can be challenging. Cricket Pavers & Outdoor Landscaping is one of those businesses that excels in every aspect. Lucas has been the landscape designer and groundskeeper for my family's properties for nearly 20 years. His extensive knowledge and skills, along with his sharp eye for plant details, are evident in every project he has worked on for us. Lucas is truly a botanical artist, able to bring the customer’s vision to life from the initial ideas to the final results. In a world where average seems to be the norm, this landscaping service shines as a model of excellence that all companies should aspire to. I highly recommend them for all your gardening and landscaping needs.

We recently engaged a landscape designer to do a total transformation of our backyard. It was a dirt lot with sparse grass, and hardly a place we could enjoy as a family. Having finally saved enough for the project, our budget played a crucial role. We had several estimates, with the price and availability varying greatly. Kai and Lucas, a dynamic duo, were not only able to provide a cost-effective estimate within our budget, but they were also ready to begin immediately. Adding to the complexity, our backyard slopes in all directions, making it a challenging project that required significant earth-moving. But, the landscape design team was up to the job. They managed to level one side of the yard for an above-ground pool and a shed, and the other side for a concrete patio, with color stamp for a pergola to be set up later. They incorporated grass, irrigation, privacy shrubs, and even outdoor lighting with the remaining budget - it really made a difference. We are extremely pleased that they were able to bring our ideas to life. The communication was consistent from start to finish. We will definitely turn to them for similar needs in the future.

Cricket Pavers & Outdoor Landscaping’s passion for landscape design is truly impressive. The creative plans Clarence and the team brought to our project were both engaging and inspiring. They were enjoyable to work with and always kept things moving, even when we decided to add extra features. The crew installed unique and inviting areas for us, from hand-laid paver patios to charming walkways softly lit with subtle outdoor lighting and filled with beautiful plants. Their attention to detail was outstanding—everything from hidden drainage for rainwater to perfectly blended soil and smart irrigation was handled with care. The construction team was professional and thorough, making sure every part of the project was just right. They completely transformed our outdoor space into something we absolutely love. If you’re looking for someone to create a beautiful landscape, this is the team you want.

We are overjoyed every day when we come home to our newly designed landscape, thanks to Cricket Pavers & Outdoor Landscaping. They devised an exceptional design using native and drought-tolerant plants, and expertly resolved our drainage issues sustainably. The increased variety of birds and butterflies, as well as the numerous compliments from our visitors, add to our enjoyment. We are excited to see how our landscaping matures and evolves over time. The team, including Clarence, Kai, and Lucas, were incredibly responsive, professional, and creative. We can't recommend them highly enough!

In our gated community, we recently worked with a landscape designer for our expansive garden areas. Last fall, there was a little mix-up with some greenery that was trimmed too much, but I managed to resolve the issue with property management. Today, Lucas, the owner, came by to expertly handle the overgrown vines himself, and he did it surprisingly fast. Later, his team arrived to tidy up and remove all the extra branches and greenery. I can't express enough how skilled, friendly, and dedicated this crew is. I highly recommend their services!

we recently had a new paver patio and a fire pit designed and installed by cricket pavers & outdoor landscaping, and we're really happy with the results! working with kai was a great experience from start to finish. he was very communicative during the whole landscaping project, always making sure we understood each step and that our questions were answered. while i was out of town, kai even sent daily photos to keep us updated on the progress. what stood out most was how he truly listened to our landscape design ideas and brought them to life, but he also offered helpful suggestions when he saw an opportunity to make things even better. the whole process felt like a real collaboration. he made sure we were satisfied with everything, and when we wanted a few small changes, he took care of them without any hesitation. now, thanks to the new patio and fire pit, we're spending so much more time enjoying our backyard, especially with california's warm weather. we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out!

after my brother recommended cricket pavers & outdoor landscaping because of the fantastic job they did on his yard, i decided to reach out. i spoke with a few other landscaping companies in oak park, and while the pricing here wasn’t the lowest, it was definitely reasonable compared to others. what really convinced me to go with them was my experience working with kai. he was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain all the design options, materials, and what factors impacted the cost. kai created several 2d and 3d design renderings, which made it much easier for us to picture how our new backyard would look. having a local showroom was really helpful. the color of the pavers in person was a bit different from the catalog pictures, so being able to see and compare the actual samples made a big difference. there were also several types of artificial turf to check out. they let us borrow a few samples overnight so we could see how they looked in our yard throughout the day and next to our fences. after a couple of design revisions with kai, we landed on the perfect layout and color scheme. the installation team, led by clarence, did a wonderful job shaping the gentle curves we wanted and made sure we approved everything before moving forward with cutting the pavers and turf. even though the work took just a day longer than planned, the results were worth it. our yard was completely transformed from something we had put up with for ages into a beautiful outdoor space we love. we’re excited to add more plants and finish off our backyard paradise. i would absolutely recommend working with kai and this team for any landscape design needs.

our hoa has a lot of homes and a big need for landscape design and maintenance, especially with all the green areas and tennis courts. we switched to drip irrigation and updated our slopes with drought-friendly plants, which is perfect for our california weather. the team, especially kai, handles our daily groundskeeping and has been great at working with us to solve any landscape issues that come up. they're always flexible and quick to respond, and if something can't be done one way, they offer other good options. we really feel like they're a partner who cares about our community, and we're both looking forward to keeping this long-term relationship going.

i had a great experience working with a landscape designer in oak park. i decided to upgrade my old natural grass to artificial turf and add a putting green for golf. the project was about 4,000 square feet. the whole job was finished quickly, done well, and completed on time. several skilled workers were part of the team, including experts in irrigation and lighting. clarence organized the planning and installation very well. it was obvious the crew were professionals who really knew what they were doing. each evening, they cleaned up all the dust and debris around my house. the materials they used were top quality. when it came to pricing, clarence was open and flexible, and i ended up with a price that made me happy. i am very satisfied with their work and would recommend this landscape designer to others in oak park.

5 star service. Clarence was called to work on improving my sprinkler system. He came over the same day for a landscape design estimate and got back to me with a quote by the end of the day. First, we decided to do a complete yard cleanup. Clarence and his team arrived early and did an amazing job making my yard look refreshed and beautiful. About a week later, Clarence and his crew came back and fixed almost all of my sprinklers and installed a drip irrigation system to save water. They did excellent work. Clarence was very straightforward and fair with the estimate. Irrigation and landscaping can be expensive, but I appreciated Clarence's honesty and reasonable pricing. Overall, the job was completed correctly and quickly. I'm thrilled with how everything turned out and excited for my greener lawn in Oak Park.

I recently hired a landscape designer to create a putting green for my son to practice his golf skills, and I am extremely happy with the results. Lucas and his team did an outstanding job designing and installing a stunning putting green in our backyard. My son now has the ideal space to improve his putting, and I enjoy it just as much as he does. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in this project are truly remarkable. The putting green is not only practical but also adds beauty to our backyard, enhancing its overall appearance. We have had our landscaping maintained by a team of landscape designers for many years, and we always get compliments on our yard. They really deserve a five-star rating! Our yard is fairly large with a small patch of grass, plus many drought-tolerant plants and shrubs that need regular trimming. The team comes every quarter and always does a fantastic job. Clarence always replies quickly and communication is easy. The crew works hard, arrives right on time, and is always friendly, happy to help with any requests. They make sure to clean up everything and take away all the yard waste. I highly recommend their services for your landscaping needs.

Lucas has handled several landscaping projects for me in Oak Park, both large and small. He and his team are always professional and work efficiently. When Lucas visits to give an estimate, he is straightforward about what really needs attention and what can stay as is. Unlike some other landscape designers who wanted to remove everything and increase the costs, Lucas offered creative solutions and suggested options that matched my preferences and budget. The best thing I can say is that Lucas is always my first choice whenever I need any landscape design or irrigation services.
