Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. A large variety of native plants and plants suitable for Bay area climate. There are always blooms and vegetables to buy.

Great customer service. I bought a BBQ and for an extra $50 the assembled and delivered it to my 2nd story condo. There Garden center is also great!

Good selection, good prices.
Parking isn't the easiest, and occasionally service sucks. Some of the employees sometimes can't help but show their disdain for the customers...

I would give them 5 stars but the staff is hit or miss. A bit full of themselves, maybe its armour for dealing with rich Piedmont folks some of whom can be a tad demanding, who knows. Great plants!

Great selection of indoor and outdoor plants as well as anything you could possibly need for your garden. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great aprons too.

Place rocks! Tools and stuff and more things!! Ask for Mallorie, see if you can get here to run around the store and find tiny things for you like a mini screwdriver or mini tape. She's incredible!

The staff here has alot of knowledge. The suggestions we received from two young ladies for plant food and fertilizer has been spot on. All of our plants look so good!

This is the BEST nursery!!!! The staff is helpful, brilliant, and experienced with plants and gardens. There is always a selection of rare and unusual plants you won't find anywhere else.

I needed a special sized socket. I searched several other stores but no one could help me out. I gave it another go here and one of the staff members that I asked knew what I was looking for and directed me to the isle where I could find it.I found it quickly and when I asked another question a different staff also knew what I was talking about. They have answers if you have questions.

I love shopping for plants here. It’s small enough to be manageable but it has everything. I’m always inspired when I visit

Leslie/Sales Associate made it a Great experience. It was my first time out since March/Covid-19. My anxiety was high and she made the shopping changes tolerable.

Selection of products/plants is significant for the size of the store. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful, and the Ace Hardware next door makes for a more or less one stop shop for any backyard gardening project.

Carries unique and unusual varieties as well as old favorites. There are always several extremely knowledgeable staff members working as well as those who will help you physically carry and move things. They can also order plants for you. Prices are typical for the area. It is always my first stop.

Great selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff who clearly love plants, and reasonable prices compared to other area nurseries. They've got it all- indoor plants, outdoor plants, succulents, pots, small plants, big plants, you name it. But mostly, go for the people- they'll help you find whatever you're looking for.

For such a small nursery it has a lot of specialty items and they'll order things, maybe not in lock down but usually. Like any retail that's not at the edge of the Town under the high tension wires by the railroad tracks, I'm sure they have high rent and labor costs and so as you might expect it's pricey. I often come away with treasures I never expected to find; my last trip they had Crista-galli tropical coral trees in the small quart size that had obviously been rooted. What a wonderful surprise it is to find something so exotic in an affordable size. There is usually a really decent section of California natives and selections from beloved regional nurseries like Annie's annuals and lone pine nursery up in Sebastopol. All in all I am very grateful that we have a nursery of this caliber that's walkable for many lake Merritt neighborhoods.

The staff was very helpful n knowledgable. I picked up my plant n inquired about a Japanese red pine. They said they didn't have it n haven't seen it around for several years. They then gave me a referral to a tree nursery . Really appreciate their assistance in helping me.
