Woke up this morning with the first station of my sprinkler system still running and flooding the area. Called the business that had replaced that valve a few months ago but got no call back until 10am. In the mean time I found Chris Castro's highly recommended business online and gave him a call. He responded right away and showed up at my door within an hour. He had a spare valve on hand and fixed the problem very quickly. Chris is very friendly and professional and I highly recommend his business!

Cris was able to come with his fellow workers the same day I called him to remove four bushes. He was timely, professional, and he and his fellow workers did a very nice job at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them.

Chris and his crew did a great job installing sod in my backyard. He was professional, responsive, on time, and the yard looks great. I recommend him and I will use him again for my landscape needs. Thanks Chris and team!

Cris and his team were very professional and efficient. Their work with our Canary Island Palm Tree was amazing! She never looked better!!! We included both the before and after photos. So happy with the results.

I called Cris on short notice on a Sunday to repair an irrigation leak. He showed up soon after I called and turned the damaged irrigation valve off that was stuck. Then returned the next day (Monday) and replaced the broken valve. He told me ahead of time exactly when he would repair it and how much it would cost. I appreciate Cris’s efficiency, fair price, and willingness to help on Sunday.

Update: Cris and team fixed a second pipe break and removed a stump in the way. He showed up prompty and worked quickly. Excellent service and a very good price.

I bought two fruit trees. They had to prepare the ground before planting. It looks great.

I hired Cris and his crew to remove bamboo roots from front and back yard. Cris was great to work with from start to finish and his crew did an excellent job! They were great at communicating their strategy to get rid of the roots and finished the job within the timeline quoted for the job. They removed all roots and did a great job cleaning up the job site. I would recommend Cris and his crew and will be using him in the future!

I was so lucky to find Cris Castro Landscaping as I recently purchased a home in Ocean Hills. My home was in need of a complete clean up and my sprinkler system had just stopped working. Cris was not only fairly priced but his men did excellent work. They got my property cleaned up and ready for regular maintenance in a matter of a few days. Cris’ communication was excellent as well and he continues to check in with me.

He is completely knowledgeable as a landscaper and I plan on using him for more projects. You will not be disappointed!

There was a lot of work to do, this was a big job. It took us quite a while to get done, but Cris was top notch the whole way through. His guys work hard and did everything we asked and more. We had the fence put in and stuccoed. We laid a huge flagstone porch and patio. Tons of rock was put down. Gopher barrier and weed barrier laid down. We couldn't have asked for better service and communication. This was not a cheap job, but I felt I got my money's worth. Cris is good guy and hard worker. I think you will be happy if you hire him. A worker is worth his wages.

Cris Castro and his team did an amazing job on a huge front and backyard cleanup for us. I received several quotes before selecting Cris and found his price to be fair and honest — not to mention he was the only licensed and ensured company I spoke to. Cris and his team completed a huge job in about a day and a half and communication was seamless, no problems. Cris is a very likable person and it’s good to meet someone who values his customers as well as his crew. You can tell he respects the guys who work for him, which I feel is important. We will possibly be having Cris do some fencing work for us in the near future, too. He has also promised to come back at a later date to trim a tree near the front window which has a nesting mother bird once the nest is empty, that my kids wouldn’t allow us to touch at this time.

Last Sept 2024, I called Chris, to come out and asked him if he could remove several trees from my backyard. His crew came in that day and worked on it until 8PM, the removed the trees and grinded the tree stumps down. I now have a beautiful view of my son’s backyard.
I came back to southern California this April 2025 to celebrate my grandson’s 21st BD. While here I noticed that his palm trees to the side of his house were leaning to much on the neighbors side and
Could possibly fall on to his neighbors house, so again I call Chris, and him and his crew, cleared it out.
Chris and his crew if they tell you they can get it done the next day if possible they will do it. Photos before the job and after the job.

These guys are on time and consistent! They did a couple of extra clean up and maintenance of my plants and I was pleasantly surprised. They leave the area clean and are professional. I would definitely recommend them!

The finished product looks great! We are very pleased with how everything turned out. Peter removed some nasty barberry hedge rows and installed a paver patio. The crew was friendly and everyone was professional. As with any project there were some bumps along the way. What really impressed me was Peters willingness to work with us to make things right. I would recommend PB's and I would use them again.

Be sure to read reviews objectively and understand that the 1% who ALWAYS complain, will always complain no matter what you do. Don't let that cloud your judgement about PB's Greenthumb. They did a very comprehensive project in our back yard that included a multiple level patio, seat wall, fire pit, stairs, landscape beds, etc. etc. I couldn't be more satisfied. It was a total back yard transformation and it turned out phenomenal. I am a perfectionist with OCD, the worst combination a client could probably have. Peter and his crew's attention to detail and professionalism exceeded my expectations. I have something that I can enjoy for a lifetime with my family. I have already contacted Peter about a front yard project for next spring! I wouldn't even consider calling any other company to do it!

I've been using PB Greenthumb landscaping for years now and I can honestly say they are the best! Peter is professional, reasonable and always a pleasure to deal with. Their prices are competitive and most of all they do an amazing job! They've done my stone patio installation and my Spring cleanup several times. Peter and his crew came out to do a full backyard resurrection. We had a backyard that was unlevel - had tree stumps and roots and rocks all embedded from years of neglect before we moved in. Our vision was to have a backyard we can use with our family and friends.

Peter came out and laid out his plan and turned the yard into exactly what we wanted.

They did a full skin of the yard to get rid of all debris and then they graded the yard and laid sod over the whole thing. The project took the crew about 8-9 hours of work time and it came out looking great!

To leave home to a backyard that was all dirt, stumps and roots and to come home to a yard full of green grass looking shape is extremely gratifying.

I would recommend Peter for any backyard makeover job you are looking to tackle!

We recently sodded and re-landscaped our entire front yard after putting in a new porch. Our selection process included all mid-size landscape architects that we could find. PB's Greenthumb stood out as easy to work with, great digital designs, and reasonably priced. Peter and his skilled team came when they said they would, delivered everything as promised, and even followed up on sod that needed to be replaced. There were a couple of electrical and pvc related issues that his team was able to quickly resolve. PB's Greenthumb had the right equipment and skilled professionals to handle a job our size very quickly, leaving us the remainder of the summer to enjoy the beautiful landscaping. Definitely recommend!

I am a relatively new homeowner, so with that being said, many projects I have had done around my house by professionals have been good and others not so much. I had been putting off having my landscaping done for about a year, mostly because I was skeptical of some of the area landscapers and their ability to create a design to my needs. I found Peter from PBs Landscaping by simply googling Western New York landscapers and it looked like he had good reviews so I though 'why not?' I sent Peter an email through his website and he was able to come out next day to take a look at the project. Peter threw around some ideas and told me he could take some pictures and create a design that he would email to me. Which he did. I mean how great is that? I don't know the difference between these plants and what does, and doesn't look good together but he was able to provide me with a few options to choose from. That I could actually see WITH MY OWN EYES! A much better option than just hearing about what he planned to do. Once we settled on a design he was in contact with me throughout the whole process of scheduling a date. He said they would be here this past Friday 4/22 by 8 am. And there they were 8 am on the nose and they got right to work. Most of the project was done in the first day. And I had ALOT of old plant material that had to be removed from the previous homeowner. Then they came out THE NEXT DAY, on a Saturday no less, to complete the job because Peter told me he doesn't like to leave a site unfinished. Hmm...unfinished projects...sound familiar to any of you other homeowners out there? Moral of the story is that my landscaping looks fantastic. And they left the area spotless, I'm serious you would never know that there was even big equipment on the property. Peter and his crew are top notch. Don't buy into one of these other area landscapers that claim to be design experts, if you need something done get in touch with PBs and they'll do great work for a fair price. And don't let the negative reviews on here fool you, people will always find something to nitpick about, I am very confident that if I ever need to reach out to Peter about my design he would respond and take care of the issue. I plan on recommending this company to friends and family without hesitation. Thanks again Peter, awesome job!!!
