I recommend Caliscapes OC for a number of reasons. We needed help and they delivered. We wanted landscaping, hardscaping, irrigation and lighting to do a front yard make-over that complied with OC Water District's rebate requirements. We had to have drought-tolerant plants and a tree to replace an old olive that was a focal point of the yard. It all started with Oscar's love of plants and his ability to visualize a solution. Surprisingly, the design was much more lush than anticipated. The flowering plants and tree met our needs, provided beauty, a variety colors-textures and attracts humming birds, butterflies and bees. There was a seamless transition from concept to completion with Victor and his team. Once they committed to a schedule, the project was done on time and within budget. We'll use them again when the need arises.

Victor and Oscar do amazing work from start to finish. I debated using my gardener for landscape work but quickly learned that he wasn’t suited for the task. When Oscar arrived to help visualize and provide estimates, it was evident that these guys know exactly how to run their business. Then, when Victor arrived to begin the work, he and his crew worked tirelessly and paid attention to every detail. Seriously, Victor is a true pro and he’s meticulous in everything he does. Above all this, these two guys and their crew are respectful, hard working, and just great to work with. They are always on time and the support that follows the work is just as great as the work. Just recently, Victor fixed a problem with our main valve for the sprinklers- yet another botched job from my “gardener”. I have no doubt these guys are going to be the premier landscape and hardscape provider in all of OC in a few years.

Oscar and Victor were both great to work with on a landscape remodel of our backyard, where they did hardscape work removing pavers, swapping old artificial turf for grass, installing new plants/mulch, and putting down sprinklers/irrigation.
Before we signed on with them, we were super impressed with Oscar on a personalized visit to the plant nursery where he laid out the garden's proposed vegetation to help us visualize what it would look like.
Work was then completed ahead of schedule.
Afterwards, they've been a huge help with support. We've never had to maintain a yard ourselves, and they've been great with questions and advice over text. It's clear that these guys are super knowledgable and passionate about their work.

Dealing with Caliscapes was an outstanding experience. They walked us through our project from design to build. They are experts in landscape design and construction. They are also experts in plants and selection according to sun and shade. They showed up every day and completed our project ahead of their schedule. They listened to what we were asking for and worked to make our vision a reality. Once new plants were selected, we went with Oscar to the nursery so that we could see exactly what we were purchasing and how it would look once the project was completed. The 3D design was very impressive. Once we signed they started a couple days later to our surprise. Victor and his crew run like a NASCAR pit stop crew. Very efficient and fast. They're all very friendly also. We decided to add other features and they worked with us at a good price. So shout out to Oscar & Victor for perfect customer service. Highly recommend them.

Overall good experience with Caliscapes OC! Oscar came out and thoroughly listened to what we wanted to do then gave us a detailed and competitive quote with pictures. Everything was digital so it was easy to accept the quote and pay for the services online. No additional fees for credit card payments either which was very nice.

The work was completed within two days which was much faster than originally anticipated. Everything was very professionally done, the workspace was clean after each day and they even provided their own portapotty.

Communication was and still continues to be a bit of an issue. We had asked for explicit watering instructions for each type of plant since there is a guarantee on each plant for a specific amount of time. It took a few days to long after the job was complete to actually receive the written instructions, something both parties agreed upon well before the job started.

Additionally a few of the planted trees in the backyard are very unhealthy looking which we informed the team of right away, well within the guarantee period. It has now been almost three months after completion of the job and we still have not been able to make any progress on fixing or replacing the dead trees. We will occasionally receive a call or text back but it does not seem like the issue is being taken seriously which is unfortunate.

Overall I would recommend Caliscapes as I am happy with the speed of the job from start to finish and the finished product, but communication could be much better.

My grass and irrigation system is about 30 years old and broke, so I decided to upgrade my grass and irrigation system. After interviewed about 10 companies. I chose Caliscapes OC Landscape Construction Company. Because not only they have 5 star Yelp rating, and also after meeting the company owner Victor and team member Oscar, I am very impressed with them for their fair estimate and sincerely about this job.
Victor's team came to my home, and installed new grass and irrigation system. They did an excellent job and only for one week. I am very impressed with them. If anybody need a landscape job, please call this company, you will be very very happy about the job they do, because they are the best of the best!!

Scope of work: Complete redo of front yard + parkways. Design with plant and placement recommendations, demolition of soft and hardscapes, installation of concrete pads, floating steps and turf with light fixtures, planting of small plants and hedges with irrigation.

Service: Victor was prompt in returning my initial email requesting for an estimate. We were majorly impressed with how much time he spent on reviewing the estimate with us and communicating the plan each step of the way -- this gave us such confidence with the work that was being done. Even though Oscar handled the design, the whole process felt very collaborative. He listened to what we were looking for and gave us options that aligned with our preferences. Oscar also gave us a care guide for the plants we ended up going with.

Workmanship: Victor is very detail oriented and holds his crew to a high standard. Quality was never sacrificed just to make the project go faster. We also appreciated the way Victor made suggestions based how the space would look and would be used instead of just whatever was easiest to do or most cost-effective. The hard-working crew arrived on time and cleaned up the work area every day.

Cost: It was hard to make a true comparison since none of the other estimates we received were as thorough as the one provided by Caliscapes OC. For the top-notch communication and workmanship, the cost was well justified.

Couldn't be happier with Oscar and Victor and the entire Caliscapes OC team! The process was seamless and between Oscars creative design and Victor able to execute a finished product we are happy that we trusted previous yelp reviews and went with Caliscapes to make our yard dreams come true! If your looking for some awesome yard crashes these are the guys! They worked through a rainy December to deliver us our yard on a tight schedule for Christmas and we really appreciate the quality we received!

Would highly recommend Caliscapes OC. We did a complete renovation on our backyard - hardscape with pergola and firepit, softscape, and lighting. Oscar was amazing to work with on design, options, and iterations. Been dreaming of renovating our front yard since the day we moved in. Caliscapes OC did an awesome job helping us pick out plants and executing our dream, they completed our project in only 4 days! My husband and I had Caliscapes OC come out in April 2025 to fully landscape our yard front and backyard. We were so impressed with Oscar and Victor that we didn’t have other bids done. And I was a project manager for a major company which dictates at least three bids if not more. I recognized excellence when I saw it and looked no further.

Oscar Giron is extremely knowledgeable and really helpful with plant selection and design. I can even describe how picky I am when it comes to my plants. I often already have certain plants I have in mind. We wanted larger specimen trees and Oscar took us three nurseries and to directed us to three more. We were able to pick and tag the exact trees we wanted. That was very important to us. In the end they picked up plants and trees from San Juan Capistrano to Orange and hauled them up
to North Orange County. Their dedication to our needs was integral to the success of the whole project.

We also put in a water feature and not simple brick work. The gentleman that worked on the brick was phenomenal in terms of the end product. Their whole team was absolutely amazing.

If problems arose after installation, they were promptly resolved. And they truly stand by their work. I’ll say that again. The stand by their work and happiness as a client. Nothing was too small when it came to picky little requests.
