Constraction reviews in Orinda, California

We had Rhino Builders build an ADU in our backyard, and it turned out great. At first we were worried about permits and all the details, but they handled everything for us. The construction moved along smoothly, and we always knew what was going on. The final space is clean, modern, and very functional. We’re really happy with how it came out.

The kitchen and dining area in our house really needed an update, so we hired Rhino Builders. They made the whole process feel simple and not stressful. The team paid attention to small details that made a big difference in the final result. They stayed on schedule and were clear about costs. The space now looks beautiful and works so much better for us.

We hired Rhino Builders for a home addition and had a really good experience!! Shay was our project manager and made everything feel organized from the start. He kept us updated and was always quick to answer questions. The new space came out beautiful and matches the rest of the house perfectly. We are very happy with the final result. :)

I didn’t think a renovation could be this easy. The crew was friendly, detail-oriented, and super fast. I’m genuinely excited to show off my new kitchen to everyone.

Beautiful design and most of all wonderful finish I would highly recommend this company!!

The ADU build went incredibly smoothly—from permits to final finishes. The crew was efficient, respectful, and the final result matched our vision perfectly. Couldn’t be happier with the extra living space.

We weren’t sure if we could stay on budget or if it would drag on forever, but Itay made sure everything stayed on track. The process was way smoother than I expected, and our new space looks incredible. I still can’t believe how good it turned out.

Our backyard was totally transformed with a pool and new landscaping. The design team was great to work with, and the final product exceeded our expectations. It feels like a resort back there now!

Rhino Builders remodeled both our kitchen and bathroom, and we’re blown away by the results. Everything was handled professionally, and they finished on time with no surprises. Highly recommend their team

We couldn’t be happier with our home remodel! Rhino Builders made sure everything was done to perfection, and they were so easy to communicate with. They really took the time to understand our vision.

Not only did Rhino Builders do a professional job, but they also made the whole experience enjoyable. The team was friendly, approachable, and made sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. It’s rare to find such a great balance of quality work and a personal, positive connection.

Rhino Builders is a fantastic general contractor to work with! They’re very friendly, very responsive, very reliable and dependable. They are personable and listen to your wants and needs for your specific project. The timing and costs of the projects they work on are reasonable as well. Shay and his team at Rhino Builders will help you achieve your goal while making you feel like family during the entire process. I would definitely recommend giving them a call and scheduling an appointment for any of your home renovation needs!

Our family did a room addition with Rhino Builders and had a great experience!
Shay and the team were professional, efficient, and delivered a fast turnaround with a clean and high quality job. The new space looks amazing and adds real value to our home!
Highly recommend!

100% recommend Glen, Kellyn and the GSquared team if you are considering a home construction project. They completed a 4 month home renovation on time, on budget, communicated openly throughout the process and the work was professional and high quality. They are terrific people and worth calling if you're looking for a great contractor.

Glen is a true professional! He tore our house to and re-built it and did a beautiful job! Loved working with him !

We chose G Squared after meeting with several builders. We loved them from the get-go and feel so fortunate to have found Glen and his team. The whole team takes so much pride in their work and are meticulous! They helped us in all the areas where we knew nothing and supported us in the places where we knew exactly what we wanted. I can’t say enough great things about everyone that worked on our home. Everything was done as per the schedule and our home was ready on time, as promised. The handoff was also so incredibly thoughtful and we love and use all the beautiful gifts they shared with our children and the two of us. We still tell people about how incredible they all were! Our only regret is that we only had one house to build with them :)

G Squared is the builder you don't think actually exists - honest, transparent, communicative, and high quality. From start to finish they brought a level of professionalism the likes of which I've never seen in a contractor before. While I had G Squared do a relatively small job in Moraga, I have separately built a house (not in the Bay Area) with another contractor and had what I would consider a "typical" contractor experience; I wish G Squared could be everywhere I need a contractor!

Glen and crew at G-Squared Construction are top notch full service design build in the Lamorinda area. The project went well with excellent communication and beautifully finished home in a timely manner. Highly recommend their services!

Working with Glen, Kellyn (who runs the back office and helps with design), and their whole crew has been an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE -- not something commonly said about working with contractors! They did a major remodel of our kitchen and primary living area in 2017. The end result was beautiful, and they were easy to work with through the process. While there were unexpected issues that popped up -- as there always are in a big project -- we always knew that we could work with Glen to work through them and find solutions.

When it came time to remodel our four bathrooms in 2021, we chose not to get other bids for the project because we knew that Glen's quote would be reasonable, the work exceptional, and the process seamless. We are about to get started on some other projects and again, we will go directly to Glen for his help and hope that we can fit into his schedule.

Beyond the work on official projects, we've been able to rely on Glen for emergency needs at our home, including a panicked call when our lower level flooded the day before we were leaving on vacation. Glen and his crew took care of the situation while we were away, allowing us to have a worry-free vacation because we knew we could trust him to handle everything without exploiting the situation and us with an astronomical bill. In short, we trust him and I don't discount how valuable it is to have relationships like that.

Grateful that we met Glen back in 2017, and especially grateful that we can now call on him as our most trusted contractor -- and importantly, a friend!

We loved working with G Squared Construction! We did a remodel of our kitchen and staircase while replacing all our wood floors and repainting baseboards. They did such a beautiful job. All of G Squared's employees were respectful and professional. Glen was great with communication and scheduling and very detail oriented. We will definitely hire them for our next job. Can't recommend them enough!!

G squared did such an incredible job installing our exterior light fixtures. They went above and beyond our expectations—we still comment today on how well they executed the project, and not only that, the attention to detail from this team is unparalleled. Great communication. Quality work. Zero surprises and wonderful people all around. We would use them again in a heartbeat.
