Corona Landscape stands for honesty and integrity, and hands down is the go-to landscape company you can trust. John Corona and his landscape crew have the experience and expertise you can count on meet your project's specifications and your expectations. They did a landscape makeover on my two city parkways giving them new life and curb appeal. They are well organized, dedicated, and take pride in the job they do. It was a pleasure working with them and to highly recommend them without any reservation.

I have used John and his team for about 15 years on multiple projects. What stands out to me is that his team has remained the same over this time. I have to believe that is not the norm in his industry and is a testament to John and how he operates his business. He obviously treats his employees well and if you get the opportunity to hire him, you will see how well he treats his customers. On time, exceptional work and attention to detail. If you are considering any type of landscape project, do yourself a favor and contact Corona Landscape. You will not be disappointed.

This review is only based on my most "recent" interaction w/Corona Landscape. Several years ago Corona did our complete front and back hardscape and landscape and did a really beautiful job!!!

Recently we had a sprinkler pipe break and it flooded part of our back yard. My gardener was here on 6/14/25 and advised me that he could not locate the irrigation shut off valve. I called John Corona on 6/14/25 @ 11:45 a.m. and asked him if he would have installed a shut off valve and he said that they usually do and I advised him that my gardener could not find it so the water to the entire house had to be shut off while the leak was located. John told me that he would come by and take a look. I also let him know that if I was not home that I would leave the gate unlocked, he can look and just call me. He never showed up. I text him a few pictures of the broken pipe after my gardener located it. By late afternoon he still had not showed up. at 6:26 p.m. I text John and asked if he could come by Monday and that I would also like to get a quote on rebuilding a new retaining wall and redoing my backyard planter. His response verbatim, "No on a job all week". I advised him to let me know when he has time to come over and that I would still like to get a quote for the extra work. No response. Today I text John and asked if he still planned on coming by to check and see if his crew would have installed an irrigation shut off valve or where they would have connected the sprinkler line into the main water line, his response verbatim was, "Sorry they don't recall". It appears that Corona Landscape did not install an irrigation shut off valve so if we have another sprinkler line break, the water main will need to be shut off which will cut the water supply to the entire house until the pipe can be repaired. It also appears that wherever they connected the sprinkler line to the main line, the concrete was poured over it so we cannot even see it where the water main is. There is no question that Corona Landscape does excellent work however, after spending upwards of $30K the first time and giving him the opportunity to quote me on 2 more jobs (I had a budget of $25K for the planter I want to re-do), I was very disappointed by the responses, the "no-show, no-call" and seeming lack of interest to even come by to take a look and try to locate where they may have tapped the sprinkler line into the main water line, I will not use Corona Landscape for my future projects. I would have thought with the great reputation Corona has, he would have been a little more interested in helping his Customer. Ultimately, I have a sprinkler line problem, John Corona told me that he would come by and take a look and he did not. That is the basis for my review rating.

Rudi ‘s landscaping does great quality work! I highly recommend him and his company to certainly provide great service!

He gave me a good price and finish it on time but He estimate a different Isolation instead of the one he texted me , I had to check more carefully. they use a rebar to shake concrete instead of a vibration and worst of all he don't provide you a propel invoice.
so I learn that I should not count on verbal statement and I do not pay last payment until I got all propel documents.

Rud’s landscaping came to my home recently & I now have a beautiful new court yard. They were excellent the nicest workmen.

Rudi was great to work with. He was in constant communication, always on time, and always answered any questions I had. As the project progressed, and things came up or changes needed to be made, he was on top of it. I will make sure to keep his contact information and will absolutely reach out for any other landscaping needs and will recommend him to anyone who asks.

I see he has a lot of great comments from other customers...Wish I had the same opportunity to work with him but it does require that Rudi show up at our scheduled appointment. After multiple attempts to get a hold of him by text and phone, it would nice for him to respond and cancel the meeting in advance thus not holding me up. My vote is extremely lousy customer responsiveness and service. I would use caution to schedule a meeting with him in advance. HE DOESN'T SHOW UP TO THE SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT!

Great communication before, during and after when the landscape project was completed. New beautiful plants with bark mulch and everything is on a drip system. First Class all the way. I highly recommend Rudi.

Rudi and his team are extremely professional and do amazing work. After meeting with about 15 contractors we knew he was the man for the job with his extensive knowledge and great communication. I had lots of questions and he got back to me right away with clear and concise answers as this is a big project for us. Our backyard was in need of removing existing concrete, installing new concrete, tiling over all the concrete, removing existing grass, laying new sod and moving all of our drains and sprinklers and he was eager to get started and showed up early each day and got the job done in a very timely manner. He also had great ideas and vision. He knows the industry well and is licensed and insured. I will recommend him to all of my family, friends and neighbors.

I chose Rudi to install a redesign of our front yard. From the beginning he was on time, provided detailed communication, showing up and doing exactly what he said he would do each day. He and his team removed a sloping bed of ivy across the entire front of our house and up one side, created a flower bed across the entire front of the house, installed drip irrigation to an exiting system, selected and planted over 70 plants and 1 olive tree, chose 2 decorative 4 ft pots, graded/prepped all the planting spaced, and added mulch to finish it all off. The result is an amazing and stunning transformation. It's everything we and the designer imagined. Rudi was meticulous about placing the plants and getting my approvals throughout before proceeding. He and his team show up on time and work - no talking on cell phones no music playing - just work. And they clean up as they go along and at the end of each day. We just love it!! The entire project was stress free, accommodating, on time and on budget.

We wanted to “desert-scape” our Ventura front yard. It’s not too big but removing the grass and reducing water use were goals, along with wanting it to look great. We got 3 bids. I called Rudi because I saw him working on a neighbor’s house about a half mile away. Of the 3 bids, Rudi’s was the most reasonable, and when adding his knowledge of where to get rocks and plants… what could be better. The 4 pics show the transformation over a week. 1 day to remove lawn, and 1-day to plant and rock. Total area about 850 sq feet. Lots of landscaper choices in Ventura, but I recommend calling Rudi and including him in any project bid. We couldn't be more pleased!

Rudi recently did a project in our backyard and we could not be more happy with the end result! I called over 10 landscaping companies in Ventura County and got bids from 6. Rudi was the stand out choice by far! He is punctual, very knowledgeable, and is an excellent communicator! He installed beautiful turf in our backyard, planted avocado trees, and a lemon tree. He is also taking care of the monthly maintenance for our front and back yards. Thank you Rudi for making our backyard so much more of an enjoyable space to be in!

We have a 30+ year old block wall that was in need of repair. Rudi came through and his team did a great job at a very fair price! We're very pleased as we begin our yard remodel.

I had an excellent experience working with Rudi on transforming my front and backyard. He removed all the existing turf and replaced it with beautifully designed permeable pavers and drought-tolerant landscaping. From start to finish, he was punctual, responsive, and accommodating to any design or plant selection changes I made along the way.

His knowledge of the Be Water Wise turf replacement program was invaluable—he guided me through the process to make sure my project met all the requirements for reimbursement and was as eco-friendly as possible.

We hired Rudi for hardscape and landscape work, including pavers, retaining walls, and concrete in our side yards. Unfortunately, we experienced multiple workmanship and oversight issues throughout the project.

For the concrete work, Rudi subcontracted the pour. He was responsible for demolition and framing, but the concrete curb was poured crooked. The wood framing was left buried in the soil afterward, including untreated wood, which should not be left in the ground.

The paver installation had significant layout and alignment problems. The patio was initially squared to our fence rather than the house and had to be corrected once it was brought to his attention. Even after that correction, the patio remains several inches out of square. The pavers themselves are misaligned and uneven, and the front bullnose is crooked, creating a safety concern.

In addition, the paver base was installed incorrectly. The compacted base layer was only approximately 1–2 inches, while the sand layer was 4–5 inches, which is the opposite of industry standards and raises serious concerns about long-term settling and failure.

Drainage was another major issue. Drains were not properly aligned or corrected until we pointed them out, and the retaining walls were built without proper drainage behind them, which raises long-term durability concerns.

Overall, the project caused a great deal of stress, and we ultimately terminated the contract. Much of the work will now need to be removed and redone by another contractor.

I recommend doing thorough research before hiring this company for hardscape work.

Drew went above and beyond for us and did an awesome job taking care of our leak/water damage and replacing our water heater. He’s a great guy and I will definitely recommend him to my friends and neighbors :)
