Driver blocked a keep clear and refused to move his truck while it was running, and he had about 8-10 feet before the car in front of him. I asked him to pull up, and he was super rude and refused. I wouldn't expect these people to have good service after that interaction and the disregard for rules of the road and other drivers.

Intentionally damaged a tree on my family member's property. Went out of their way to back into the tree, break off a limb, and spirit it away. I recommend finding a different company to take care of your trees.

Unaccountable and destructive. Community tree service came onto my property to clean up potentially hazardous trees for PGE. I gave them full access to my property to make there job easier and safer while they cut on trees that had potential for power line damage, I only asked one thing and that was to leave the chips and wood that they removed from my trees. They used my property to access my neighbors property and cut one of there oak trees down to the ground. That created an issue not only with my neighbor I as well them. The police were called by someone and I got word from my daughter that was home alone that something was happening there were multiple police cars at our house. When I finally got to my House after leaving work the tree crew and police were leaving. I never got a call from anyone about the incident? They did not leave any of the wood behind they took everything except what they left dead hanging in the trees that was cut and left up hanging. They must have fallen a limb or cut my brand new fence breaking the fence leaving the barbed wire just hanging with no repair. I called there office in Watsonville as well as PGE I never received any response from either. It is a shame that you cannot let them on your property unattended without having this kind of thing happen.

PG&E had this company come out to trim two trees in my backyard. The first tree, a queen palm, they lopped the top off of. It looks terrible. The second tree takes effort to prune because of where it's located, so instead of working on it, they trimmed the tree next to it. The two employees took as long as possible to do the job, by taking numerous smoke breaks. They also left their trash in my backyard. I would never hire them, and if PG&E sends them back next year, I will try and decline their services.

TL;DR: Destructive, Avoid. Typically PG&E has hired contractors that do good powerline work on my property. Not this time. - The work order clearly said "Call homeowner before tree work - customer wants to be present. But CTS didn't call. Instead, I just happened to find a worker up in my tree one morning. - The worker was wearing *boot spikes*, trying to get a grip with ankles at the top of my Liquidambar, shredding the bark. Spikes are not permitted on live trees (only on telephone poles, dead trees, and emergency rescues). - The heading/topping cuts were made at arbitrary locations, leaving stubs. - Branches were removed on the opposite side of the tree from the power line (presumably to ease access). I ordered the workers off the property, and called their supervisor. The supervisors arrived and agreed that the work was unnecessarily substandard. (They offered to "fix" the problem, by which they meant further removal. I said no.) The practices used are not part of the ISA standard, and no one on the property (including supervisors) had an ISA license. These guys are for demolition / removal, not pruning. I called PG&E after realizing that Core Tree Services, the company on the work order, had apparently subcontracted to Community Tree Services. Probably not what PG&E had intended.

Community Tree Service is quick to respond and efficient. I spoke with Wes on April 29 and he got an estimate to me that night and was able to fit me in two days later. His quote was very fair (I had 3) and he was great to work with and very personable. I had a yucca and a palm removed and it only took them 3-4 hours. I'd definitely use them again.

I have been a customer of Community Trees off and on, as the need arose, for the last 15 years. I found the prices they quoted to be fair. I also was quite pleased with the service. The services they provided to me are as follows: they took down and removed a 100ft tree that had fallen with the crown of the tree falling on top of another tree 2 houses away. They have trimmed a multi-branching hedge that became a tree, and left my roof clear of an overhanging branches, and the tree still looking great. Most impressive was their last visit. They cut to the ground "the hedge that wanted to be a tree", and ground the stumps and roots so that a fence could be built in its place. On the same visit they also trimmed two camellia trees away from my house; and sadly, at the fire insurance inspector's request, cut down a 24 foot Palm, by my front door, allowing me to comply with my fire insurance policy. But best of all, they completed the work with a complete clean up and hauling away of the debris. All of the work done for me over the years has been quite satisfactory, the workers and management were friendly and knowledgeable. I would, most certainly, recommend them if you need tree work to be done. LA Pope, Aptos, CA

Terrible experience and conversation. My neighborhood road was closed completely both way on a Friday morning. There was no signage at all for a closed or blocked road any where and no traffic guys. When I asked the workers about the blockage they couldn’t give me an answer. When I requested a supervisor they said they were “somewhere else”. Seems like they were bending some rules to make the job quicker and easier for themselves. Do not recommend them as they came off extremely unprofessional and even dangerous.
