All reviews for Kolsen Deck Builder

This was our first time building a deck, and the team made the entire process smooth and stress-free. From the very first meeting, William helped us create a design that fit perfectly with our existing patio and gave us a clear idea of pricing. Once everything was approved, the crew quickly started work, and we were very impressed with the attention to detail and high-quality craftsmanship during both the framing and the final decking. We also wanted extra lighting for our new deck, and David, the electrician, did a great job making it all work with our current power setup. Communication was one of the things we appreciated most—Grant, the project manager, kept us updated and made sure everything was on track from start to finish. He was always professional and made sure we were happy with the results. We’re really enjoying our new deck and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a well-designed and expertly built deck.

This deck building team is truly outstanding. They are always honest, fair with their pricing, and the crew is professional and careful with their work. A while back, they removed our old deck and built a new, solid foundation for our backyard remodel, and the results were fantastic. More recently, we needed our back patio deck area redone, including tearing out the old structure, building a new railing, and installing a beautiful stamped concrete deck of about 1,000 square feet. Grant, Tanner, and Brandon did a great job managing the crew and making sure everything stayed on track, even with some unexpected weather. The quality of work was excellent and everything was finished on budget, just as promised. They work efficiently and always deliver results that go above and beyond expectations. I highly recommend this deck builder for any outdoor project!

I had a fantastic experience working with Kolsen Deck Builder! We started with our own vision for the deck, but David brought in additional creative ideas that really enhanced the overall design. He has a great eye for style, space, and making sure everything fits perfectly with your home. The team was always on time, kept everything organized and clean, and the quality of their craftsmanship is outstanding. I’m thrilled with my new deck! Communication was always simple and clear throughout the project. I highly recommend choosing them for your deck building needs.

The attention to detail really stood out to us—the team offered us thoughtful deck design options that other builders never even mentioned. We worked directly with Grant, and it’s clear he truly cares about the quality of his work. The crew that built our deck was professional, quick, and kept everything clean throughout the process, which was a great surprise. We are extremely satisfied with our new deck and would recommend anyone thinking about upgrading their outdoor space to reach out for a consultation. They definitely get an A+ from us! Hope this helps someone!

Kolsen Deck Builder really delivered for us! grant came out to give us an estimate and was very professional, making sure to answer all our questions and explain the process clearly. i decided to dig the footings myself, and grant even stopped by on a holiday weekend to help me lay everything out, which was above and beyond what i expected. tanner and his crew arrived right on schedule and worked hard from start to finish. they built our 12' x 45' patio deck and finished everything, including cleanup, by the afternoon. the team paid attention to all the details and made sure the deck was sturdy and looked great, perfect for the sunny pasadena weather. we’re so happy we chose this company for our deck project and will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable deck builders in the area!

choosing the right deck builder is really important, and grant was exactly what we needed. we just had a 980 sq/ft deck built in pasadena and it looks amazing. grant helped us plan out the design and his experience made everything so much easier. the whole crew showed great skill and paid close attention to every detail in the carpentry from start to finish. if you have your own ideas, definitely ask for his suggestions too. you'll really enjoy the results.

Working with Grant and his crew was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Our deck project in Pasadena was a bit tricky because our yard has a steep slope, but the team handled it with true skill and attention to detail. The new deck looks absolutely beautiful, and we really appreciated how professional and easy to work with everyone was. Grant listened to our ideas and made sure we got exactly what we wanted, including a well-designed ramp that will be great for the future. Besides removing and expanding our back deck, Grant and his team also replaced the front porch railing and stairs, and even installed double doors where we only had a window before. We’re so happy with the quality of the work and the fair pricing. Throughout the whole process, Grant showed his expertise and kept us updated, making everything go smoothly. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this team to anyone looking for a deck builder in the area!
