We've owned our home for nearly four years, but it's taken that long to get around to having our HVAC unit serviced. Every summer, we cautiously turn up the AC, unsure of its condition. We knew the unit was around 10-12 years old, but didn't know when it was last maintained.
To address this, we started searching for a reliable HVAC servicing company. After checking Yelp and Google reviews, we came across Pioneers and were impressed with what we saw. The company's profile and reviews seemed genuine, so we decided to give them a try.
We submitted a request on Yelp, and within less than 10 minutes, I was chatting with a representative. We appreciated how quickly they could schedule an appointment for the following day in an early time slot (9am-12pm).
The technician, Ariel, arrived promptly between his scheduled time and asked if there was anything wrong with the AC. Since we just wanted maintenance, he offered to inspect the system from the roof. He spent about 20 minutes up there and told me that our system was in good shape - a bit dirty for its age, but overall satisfactory.
Ariel did mention that the system's Freon level was slightly below acceptable levels, so they provided us with an estimate for topping it off. While we didn't end up doing it, we appreciated the transparency and were relieved to know our system was in decent condition.
For a fair price of $330 for the inspection and Freon refill, we felt like we got good value for peace of mind during future heatwaves. We're glad we chose Pioneers Heating and Air - they've won us over as customers!
