Home Services reviews in Placerville, California

What a great company, and Dan seems to be a really good “hands on” owner who treats he’s crew great. And to me, how you treat your crew as a contractor, means a lot. I needed to have 8 tall pine trees cut down, as they had died due to bark beetles. Dan was recommended to me by a neighbor, and I’m glad he was. What a great job he and his crew did. I will definitely use Dans services again in the future.

Excellent service! Crew was friendly and precise and knew exactly what they were doing! Definitely did an amazing job! Very happy customer! Would definitely recommend for any tree service you may need!

Hello, I contracted Daniel Hovarter Tree Service to help remove some of the damaged trees from last winter’s heavy snow and higher winds on Buckhorn Ridge due to the deforestation by the county. The quote was very reasonable. “Dan the Tree Man” and his tremendous team did an outstanding job that made our property look like a groomed park when finished. Dan is a terrific arborist, and his team is very professional.

Daniel Hovarter and his crew were amazing and we are super happy with the service! Daniel came out within 2 days of my initial call for the consultation and his crew was out a few days later to do the work. Super responsive and great quality work! Daniel is very knowledgeable about trees and clearly loves what he does ….he assessed several trees (inc my favorite - a large sequoia) for us and came up with a plan that would meet our insurance requirements and still let us keep our trees! His crew was very professional and did a great job! They cleaned up after the tree work and hauled everything off…the yard looks cleaner than it ever did;) If you’re looking for a great tree company, deff give them a call! We will deff use them again!!

Daniel Hovarter Tree Service is the best! I wanted advice from an arborist on we should proceed with trimming back several trees that were blocking our solar and a large oak with a branch hanging over our neighbors yard that needed to be removed for safety reasons. The tree also had a lot of dead branches that needed to be removed. Daniel came out within 24 hrs of me calling and met with my husband and I, and within an hour we had a game plan. He explained everything in detail from where the trees should be cut to the health of the trees. They were able to come out the following morning. The crew was very professional and kind. They worked in a very methodical way, and their knowledge was evident. They were amazing to watch. When they were done, they cleaned up and took away all the debris. I think our yard was cleaner than before they started. I would highly recommend this company. Daniel and the crew are awesome. If I need any work done in the future, I will definitely call Daniel. So if you’re looking for a company that you can trust and rely on to do a good job give Daniel Hovarter a call.

Professionals all the way. Made a huge problem tree disappear. I'm so glad I chose Hovarter for this job. Couldn't have gone any better. What a great crew. Thank you all...

Excellent service from start to finish! The customer service was friendly and helpful, and the administrative staff made everything easy. The tree service crew did an amazing job — professional, efficient, and thorough. An all-around great team. Highly recommend!

Today we had our 150 year old oak tree sadly taken down by an AMAZING tree company Hovarter Tree Service. This tree was right next to our home. Not only did they have a crane come in to support this monster of a tree but they took it down with perfection, took away the giant pieces, cut up our pieces we wanted into 16” pieces and stacked it!! They then raked, and cleaned up the area before they left. This was done in one day between 7:30am - 4pm. The workers were kind and perfect customer service! It was a very reasonable price for all the work this massive tree was. We are relieved the threat to our home is gone and very very GRATEFUL to Hovarter Tree Service for their exceptional work! They truly know what tree service is about and care about your property! Thank you Hovarter Tree Service!

New Leaf Tree Service, was amazing to work with. They removed several tree around my property. Work was fast and efficient.

Jared came out to give me an estimate and offered a very fair price. He showed up on time and left everything spotless. I would highly recommend him and his company!

10/10 great service and wonderful work ethic. They got my tree down in 45 minutes and did an excellent job on cleaning everything up and separating everything that I wanted to keep. They are super versatile and knowledgeable about trees, brush clearing, land clearing, wood chipping. They cut the rounds of wood to the size I wanted them to. Super friendly and helpful people definitely recommend!!

Excellent service! Showed up right on time to provide an estimate and on the scheduled day to do the work. Very efficient and left our yard neat and clean. Our neighbor were impressed and already asked for a phone number to contact JP Tree service for future work. Thank you, Jared!

Very pleased with this company, extremely professional! Price was very reasonable but the service was top notch. Just wanted a small job done quick and some chips and I got just that.

Jose's Tree Service does a great job trimming my trees and shrubs. They were quick and neat and did what I asked them to do.

We have lived here for 30 years with a large digger pine, about 3 feet in diameter, off the front corner of our house. In September two 15 inch branches broke off, one landed in the middle of the driveway and the other branch almost crushed the neighbors car. We decided that the tree was a major liability and had to go. We contacted several tree service companies and obtained four quotes. Jose's was the lowest quote with the fastest response time. They actually showed up a day earlier than expected and immediately got to work clearing the two fallen branches and taking down the tree. They were quite professional and worked together in an efficient manner. We did not want any of the wood so they ground up everything they cut and ended up hauling away 8 truck loads of wood chips. They brought an 18 inch grinder which easily handled most of the branches. When it came time to fell the trunk they dropped it exactly where they had said it would fall. The trunk and larger limbs were cut into sections that would fit into the chipper. They worked 3 full days to finish cutting it down leaving only the stump which they came back the following day to grind up in about 2 hours. Overall I was impressed with the quality of the work they performed and would definitely recommend Jose's to anyone needing tree service. See attached photo for an indication of the size of the task they accomplished.

We were very pleased with Jose's Tree Service. His estimate was professional and easy to understand and is price was very fair. His work crew were receptive to our change to the work, completing the felling, bucking, chipping, and clean up 5 trees and several large cedar branches in about four hours. We definitely would recommend Jose's Tree Service.

I used Jose’s Tree service Inc to remove two trees and prune a big oak tree . They did an amazing job at a fair price . Will definitely use them again .

In the recent storms, a large tree limb came down upon the roof of my garage. I am so glad I hired Jose's Tree Service. They did a quick, safe and skilled job of removing the limb, and the clean-up was thorough. Their pricing was competitive and fair. I would use their services again; I highly recommend them.

Very good experience. Jose and crew were easy to schedule within a reasonable amount of time, and showed up on time. Worked steadily to trim and remove trees near solar panels, then bring down a 100 ft pine tree safely. Cleaned up before leaving.
Recommended.

Reasonable pricing superior work. Asked that they not break branches on mansanita and oak trees closely surrounding the 4 Grey pines (diggers). They were 125' others 100' not one branch was sacrificed and they completely cleared site as if trees were never there.

We used them last year to cut a tree that was full of fungus and rot. They were very quick and fair in price.
