Tree reviews in Placerville, California

Dan is awesome! Honest and knows what he’s doing! He and his company are a great addition to our little community. He has cleared up a corner that was a frightening mess. Thanks Dan!
Great energy too!!!

My experience with Daniel’s attention to my requests and his crew’s response to the job was very rewarding. The job was scheduled and completed in record time. They accomplished exactly what I wanted done to the trees in my yard. I am most pleased and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their work to my neighbors and friends. Thank you Daniel & Co. Carol Calvin

5 Stars just doesn't do this company and it's team justice. Dan showed up to give me a quote and review trees, and talk about knowledge! This guy knows trees more than anyone I know and he was incredible in presenting their game plan. I will be using Dan from here on out. Very fair and professional. My yard was cleaner than I left it!

Daniel Hovarter Tree service was great to work with. They did what they said they would do and were helpful and cleaned up after themselves remarkably. I would use Daniel and his crew again. Five stars!

Had a section of dense pine and cedar growth that over several winters needed a clearing and floor cleaning. Daniel responded quickly and provided a very competitive estimate. His crew came out and finished the work in a matter of days, and did a thorough job. Daniel is great to talk to and work with, and his crew is very efficient. Looking to use them again.

Dan and 2 employees showed up at my house fully equipped and ready to work

Wow!!! Working with Daniel and his crew was an awesome experience! From the initial consultation on our fruit trees and the estimate for our oaks, to the excellent work with the crew, everything was top-notch.

I highly recommend Daniel Hovarter Tree Services! Daniel is incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely personable, and his passion for what he does truly shines through. His prices are fair, communication is great, and the work is exceptional.

Danielhovarton tree service did a good job cutting my huge tree but the next crew the stump crew made a big mess when I talk to Daniel wife she promised me to remove the stump debris around my property I recommend them who ever need a tree removal or just trimming quick response from Kelly and Daniel hovarton again thanks 5 or 7 star .

Dan and his guys were awesome. Took two trees down for me super quick at a great price. All the guys were very friendly and they were on it! Definitely recommend Dan the tree man!

Daniel and his team are awesome! We had a tree snap in half into the street after heavy winds one night that the county said they would pick up for over a week. The county not only did not come do what they said, but they served us a violation. Daniel showed up that day to check it out and then had the broken tree and trunk removed within hours! Looked as if there was not a mess afterwards. Highly recommend using Daniel and his team.

Stuck to his word, quote, and project delivery even though it ended being a bigger job than he anticipated. Great man of his word! Great job. Great fair prices.

I needed an Arborist report to pull a permit for one of my customers. I called Daniel Hovarter Tree Service and they were friendly and was able to come out the next day. Prices were reasonable and I received my report within a couple days of my initial phone call. Very pleased.

Dan answered my call and was there within the hour. His was quick and spot on. He honored my VA discount. The job was done quickly, and my yard was neat. I highly recommend Daniel Hovarter Tree Service.

Daniel‘s team was amazing! They arrived on-time and completed all necessary work in the same day. They also did an amazing job cleaning up. Highly recommend Daniel Hovarter Tree Service.

When we bought a new home in the Placerville area, after being neglected for more than ten years, Daniel and his Team came in and did a full-day of triage! They took out dangerous trees, eliminated limbs that overhung our roof (badly), created a safe path for our PG&E service line, and eliminated the mother-of-all burn piles. The job was filled with change orders, and they priced them fairly, and just got'er done! Honest, hard-working, and safety minded - a great combination....especially these days!

Daniel was extremely knowledgeable about the trees I needed to trim, and he took extra time to give me feedback about additional gardening issues I didn't know how to deal with. The team communicated and worked very professionally. They did the best clean up job of any work crew I've ever had. I am eagerly looking forward to these trees budding and giving fruit in the spring and summer!

Daniel and his guys came to work on a pretty dangerous tree which had grown over the roof of a house we had just bought on Butte Mountain in Jackson California. The guys worked the whole day and did a fantastic job of cutting the offending limbs down, without damaging our roof at all. No mean feat considering how much of the tree had grown over the roof line. I would give these folks 10 out of 10. Nice bunch of guys too. We were so impressed, we bought them Subway lunch sandwiches as a gesture of our thanks! Paul & Eileen Burkey

Daniel Hovarter Tree Services crew did a great job cutting down the 4 trees. Anything you need to about what they are doing they will explain what they are doing. After cutting down the trees, they clean-up the area and look good. If you looking get some trees cut down go with D.H. Tree Services.

Daniel arrived promptly, was knowledgeable regarding the job to be done and wasted no time in giving us an estimate. The same day, we had 13 stumps grinded. His crew raked, cleaned and smoothed out the areas where the stumps were removed.
We are very pleased and will definitely be contacting him for future tree removal and tree trimming.

I can't say enough about Daniel Hovarter Tree Service. I recently had two large live oak trees come down on my neighbors garage during a recent wind storm.I called Daniel and he took the job when others wouldn't. I accepted his quote which I will say was more than fair considering what he was about to deal with. When he and his crew showed up, they were totally prepared and started immediately. I knew right away these guys knew what they were doing, very methodical, very precise in everything they did. This was not an easy job. Fortunately there was no damage to the structure but the trees were hanging by a thread and this crew removed them with absolutely no damage to my neighbors property or mine. These guys are true professionals. I will never use anyone else again. I would highly recommend Daniel Hovarter Tree Service.

1/19/25 I had 3 Redwood Trees in front of my house that needed to be trimmed and thinned out as they were too big and close to the house producing shade which caused Moss to grow on my roof. I hired a company that only took out a few branches in the center of the group of 3 trees. When I questioned the worker who told me, “ You’re always going to have sharde with big trees.” Duh, the problem still existed (I was Not happy).I called a 2nd company which was Daniel Hovarter Tree Service. I can not say enough - praising the owner and his excellent 4 crew members working as a team - who worked with me by listening to me and accomplishing exactly how and what I wanted done. A+++++
