After calling for a service call , i was given a time slot of between 630 to 730 , the techs that arrived came at 10 oclock at night , i explained that i worked for a general contractor and this company was recomended to me for residential use. Before entering the building i told the tecnichians my unit turns on , gets cold and freezes up. the commercial company i deal with suggested the unit was somehow blocked and needed to be cleaned. the techs from this company told me i needed freon of which they originally quoted me 1500 for service labor and materials , after asking for a reciept the number changed to 900 which still being extreamly expensive the tech assured that was the problem so i went that route , beforehand asking if he could check for leaks before putting the freon. he told me it was a 700 additional charge to check for leaks but he didnt think it was a leak or that the unit needed to be cleaned it was just the freon. i paid the 900 after the fact noticing the name on the reciept address and phone number are different from the number i called for the service. Immediately after the techs left my unit froze up again. i called to find out what the company intends to do , they want to offer me a credit towards a new unit which will come out to close to 5000k. ive called the speak with a supervisor have yet to get a call back. BEWARE OF THESE HVAC GUYS , THE NUMBER LISTED HERE SAYS "PROVEN HVAC REPAIR " THE NAME ON THE RECIEPT SAYS "GARDEN STATE HEATING AND AIR" . Dont run the risk this summer.
