I needed some major work done on my fireplace with not much notice. The team at Burnie's was super-responsive. They came out to see it and gave us a quote very quickly. They were able to explain the process thoroughly and and they actually called their team in on a Saturday to start our job. That wound up being just days after we first contacted them, so I couldn't have been happier.

Burnie Fireplace Services provided multiple services to both fireplaces at my son's home which had sustained damage through the years due to normal wear & tear, seasonal rain, extreme heat, heavy winds, etc. The damage specifically to one of the fireplaces was partially responsible for water intrusion into their home. The technicians were meticulous at determining what needed to repair the fireplaces, which included the chase covers, burner kit systems, spark arrestors, termination caps, etc., in order to bring the fireplaces back to safe operation and to alleviate any further water intrusion. The technician arrived on time at the scheduled repair date, completely and competently performed all the repairs, cleaned all leftover materials, painted the repaired areas and provided photos to my son of all the work that was done. We would both HIGHLY recommend Burnie Fireplace Services to anyone who needs any type of fireplace services, repairs, etc. Thank you, to Bernie, at the office for your assistance in professional communication to us, and to the staff for their competent and professional service in taking care of our fireplace needs!

On their previous inspection, they discovered some cracks in the crown which they repaired on the current visit. I highly recommend this company. I had some issues last winter with rain water dripping into my fireplace. I called a few companies to try to figure out how to fix the issue, and they all referred me to Burnie Fireplace Services. It turns out that my fireplace was an older prefab insert for which there were no longer available parts. Bernie and Pat are very knowledgeable and they gave me several options. I ended up having Burnie's install an electric fireplace insert. Everyone at Burnie's was very knowledgeable, professional and punctual. The cap on top of our chimney rusted, and a hole developed which was big enough for a bird to fall down inside our chimney and into the fireplace. Burnie's staff came out, climbed up on the roof, took pictures, explained our options, and our chimney was repaired in a timely manner. The staff was courteous, professional. Excellent experience with Burnie Sweeping and inspecting our fireplaces. Adolfo and partner were very friendly and professional. Protected all surfaces around the fireplace before they started, got up on the roof and did a thorough inspection and sweeping of our 2 fireplaces. They came back to reseal the crown and replace the spark arrestors. All the work was very well documented and supported by photos. Great communication from Pat in the office. Highly recommended!

Burnie's has cleaned our fireplace for years, and this year we had them clean the fireplace, and the dryer vent as it had been a number of yrs. since last cleaned. The dryer is working so much better, it is amazing, and I'm sure money saving. The crew is SO polite, and everything was left so clean, and the price quote didn't change once they got to the house. Lastly, they identified some issues around the chimney that needed repair and they fixed it right up, again reasonably priced. I highly recommend their services!

This company is very professional. They gave me an honest and fair estimate of what their costs are before ever coming out to our home. The technician did a thorough inspection and told me that I didn't need a sweep at this time. There was no upsell and no bate, and switch. He did an excellent job installing my spark arrestor that I had already requested before they came and inspected my chimney. I am really glad I found this company!

We found out during our remodel that our fireplace needed to be replaced. It wasn't part of initial construction plan. Bernie worked with us to get it done during our construction schedule without any disruptions. He made the entire process seamless and simple.

We replaced our gas fireplace with an electric one and Burnie Fireplace Services removed our old flue and put a rain cap at the top of our chimney.
From our first communication through installation, this company was so professional and thoughtful. Although I lived a greater distance than they normally travel, they chose to work with me and I couldn't be more appreciative. They were very communicative, on time, and their work is clearly top notch. They took before, during, and after photos to share what they were doing (as this was difficult to see with it being on our roof) and we were very impressed. We had Burnie Fireplace Services come to our home to install a "Fire & Ice" type gas burner. As a part of the visit they conducted a full review of our chimney including the area on the roof where the chimney comes out of the roof. The technician spotted and documented a problem on the roof that we were not aware of and that could have quickly caused a leak the next time we had rain. We decided to have Burnie Fireplace Services come back out to fix the problem. They showed up on time, did a thorough and quality job, cleaned up after themselves and documented the repairs with additional photos. I was completely satisfied with the work and highly recommend Burnie Fireplace Services.

I had a really disappointing experience with Burnie Fireplace Services and feel obligated to share.

They came out for an inspection and handed me a report claiming multiple issues, including that my chimney cap was missing and that the fireplace had safety concerns that would require repairs and fabrication work.

Something didn’t sit right, so I had a second reputable company come out. They physically went up on the roof and did a full inspection. Their conclusion: everything looked fine — and there IS a chimney cap in place.

That second technician was pretty direct and said the original findings sounded like an upsell.

I’m not someone who leaves negative reviews lightly, but this felt misleading. At minimum, the inspection was inaccurate. At worst, it felt like an attempt to create unnecessary work.

I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving any repairs or upgrades suggested by this company.
