Jay and the people at his company are very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Used them to install a Neovolta battery system on my solar. Everything works perfectly and enjoying no electric bill, even with SDGE change in peak rates. They did everything per schedule and would use them again for other electrical needs.

Our job was not an easy one and he stayed the entire day doing everything he needed to do. He even replaced roof tiles. My relationship with Burtek starter over a year ago when Jay came out to the house to evaluate our energy situation. He did a study that showed some need for increased solar (we already had a 4K system), but no real need for a battery about which we had inquired. I liked that he not only didn't try to sell me something I didn't need, but actively recommended against it. So, naturally, I waited a year and decided I wanted the whole works, solar and battery. Jay's team gave us a competitive quote, showed up exactly when they said they would, handled all the permitting, and completed the install right on schedule. They were not only professional, but also. real pleasure to work with. I'd give them a strong recommendation in every category I can.

Got in touch with Burtek Energy/Ryan LaFleur through a reference for our solar installation.
Ryan helped us through the whole project starting from initial stage to PTO and beyond. The folks at Burtek Energy and SunPower were very professional, on-time, and completed a fairly complicated project as promised within the proposed timeline. Ryan's earlier experience helped understanding the intricate details of the project, and also getting appropriate approvals from the HOA and complete the project in a timely manner.
I would definitely recommend Ryan and his team at Burtek for Solar Installation projects.

4.26.23 update…See Contractors State License Board Complaint SF 2022 11998. Multiple violations issued to Burtek Energy in direct contradiction to their dishonest and misleading response below. This is public information anybody can request which will include documentation by owner Jay Burden attempting to have a big voice and threaten us if we told about the actions of his company.
Stay Away! I was a previously happy customer returning to add more panels to my roof. I even had given previous referrals but something has drastically changed. Day before installation I was contacted and told design didn’t properly account for 3 panels they previously installed/sold me and it would need to be reconfigured to fit my roof. Instead I come home to the 3 previously purchased panels taken completely down(approximately 3 yrs old)thrown on my side yard. This has resulted in me being double sold 3 panels for the same location with the same exact sales rep involved in both transactions. Currently pursuing action with State Contractors Board which I should not have to do. Know your rights and don’t be intimidated to share your experience so others can make informed decisions.

Update 10.20.22 In reviewing the “owners” comments below, the reply is an attempt to mislead. His sales representative (an employee of Burtek) is listed on both contracts from 2018 and 2022. In 2022 they attempted to have another vendor due the install, hence the misleading statement below. The other vendor identified what they were apparently given/sold by Burtek was not possible as panels were already there. Burtek then sent their own vendor and removed the 3 panels that were double sold by this same sales representative (employee of Burtek) and left them on our side yard. Burtek does not deny doing this, but instead has sent a threatening email trying to silence me and not share my experience. I wonder how many other people have experienced similar situations but were intimidated and bullied by Burtek not to share??? All is documented in writing and when the dust settles will be documented through the State Contractors Board under both Burteks license number as well as the sales representative.

Honesty is the best policy and that is NOT what you get from Burtek as they documented for everyone to see in their response below.

If you are looking to go solar Burtek Energy is the best company to get you there. I had a very complicated install; on a separate structure, building permits, trees in the way and I travel with my work so I'm not around a lot. Jay was AWESOME! Even when I was ready to give up and just not get solar, he hung in there, starting with getting trees out of the way, to dealing with all the permitting issues, to my 20 million questions about why it still wasn't approved (city issues not his), on and on. And finally he got my system approved, installed and running and I could not be happier! My bill has gone from an average of $400 to paying for my system and SDGE minimums and of course, gas. But can you imagine how happy and stress free it makes me to know my electric bill will be almost nothing for the next 25 years! Thank you, Jay! Thank you, Burtek! I am forever grateful.
