JR Putman Heating & Air

I've spent nearly $18,000 in the past 2 years to get a new AC and a new furnace installed by JR Putnam. Scheduling those appointments and having the systems installed -- that was easy. And yes, those systems work fine.

However, where they have dropped the ball on service is repairing the damage done after the AC install.

It was done on April 18. After they left, I noticed cracked and fallen plaster from a light fixture in the ceiling. I had to call them every day to get someone to come back out to check the ceiling and confirm that yes, the cracked plaster was on them. That happened May 1, so it took 2 weeks, which is fine. But then it has been a looooong, slooooowwwww slog to get the ceiling fixed.

The worst thing: Whenever I have called to get something scheduled or get an update, the answer is always, "The manager is out of the office, so we'll call you back later today/tomorrow morning," And except for one solitary time, they have NEVER called me back. So I have had to call daily and be a nag to move things along because if I didn't, they obviously would have let it drop.

The ceiling plaster was repaired on May 23, but now the ceiling needs to be repainted. The repair person said they would take care of it, but again it has been a headache of calling daily to find out when that is going to happen. It's June 11, and I've made my morning call to get a status update. A-ha! I was told they finally have the paint color. And that they would call me this afternoon, or tomorrow morning, to schedule the paint job -- but most likely I would get a call this afternoon. Did I get a call this afternoon? Of course not! Will I get a call tomorrow morning? Doubtful. So I'm preparing myself to call in tomorrow am and say, "Hello, this is Vanessa, I'm making my daily call to you" and be prepared to be blown off yet again. Will this repair happen before the summer is over? We'll see.....

So while JR Putnam is good in being on time and providing good service when doing hundreds/thousands of dollars of work, it seems as if they're done as soon as the check is in their hands. If you find any damage afterwards or need something resolved later, prepare yourself to mark "Daily Phone Call to JR Putnam" on your calendar for at least a few weeks and be the constant nag and thorn in their side for them to fix the damage they did to your house . . . .if they actually come back.

If you value your money and time do not use this service. RUN into another direction. This company will destroy your house and not do the job right. Even if told to do what's right from the Better Business or the Contractors Board. We are still suffering from the terrible jobs they did. Do not use this company. Especially if your WOMAN AND SENIOR. They will rip you off faster than anyone I know. They're full of excuses. If I could show you a picture of what I was left it would shock you that a company could do paying people this way. Is BAD BUSINESS. I will protest against this company very soon!

I want to commend Aslan for the exceptional service he provided on his visit of 3/26/25.
Aslan went over and above expectations and showed me all the components on the air conditioning unit.
I was very impressed and Aslan is definitely an asset to your company.
