I just got my house painted today. The house looks really nice. I would like to thank Adolfo and his team for the great work, they all were amazing and very professional. I also would like to thank Brendan, everything went very well and above expectations: 1- communications with Brendan and the team were very clear from day one, they provided very helpful advices, as this was the first time for me painting my house. 2- Adolfo and his team were very efficient and at the same time very detailed.

This is the second time I have used Certa Pro. Ruben and his team transformed the inside of my home this time around. It's a completely different home. I love it. When it comes to first impressions, Ryan (sales/estimator) left me with a very good one. With a very reasonable price and good feedback from a neighbor who just had his house done by CertaPro, I went forward with their proposal. Another great first impression was Manny and his crew, (the painters). Professional, courteous and they knew their stuff. End result was a fantastic job. Couldn't be happier. Any future painting jobs will definitely be done by CertaPro.

Was a bit nervous on what the cost would be for painting the interior of my home. The builder used a flat paint throughout except in bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room. With kids and a dog we were getting lots of marks without being able to clean. Brendan came by and took a look at our project, asked lots of questions to understand what we wanted. His attention to detail was great. We scheduled a time and his team arrived on time each day to start their project. They were friendly and professional and eager to do a good job. From scheduling an estimate to completion of our project, customer service and the quality of the work were excellent. Decent Work, But Communication and Guidance Fell Short

I hired CertaPro to paint my house and, overall, the paint job itself was solid. The crew showed up on time, worked hard, and the end result looks professionally done. That part I can’t knock.

But the experience had some frustrating gaps, especially around color selection and surprise costs.

The Color Situation:

I told them up front I wanted a black and white color scheme, classic, clean, popular. I even gave them the Sherwin-Williams color codes. But the “black” that got used turned out to be a darker grey, not a true black like I’d envisioned.

Now sure, technically that’s on me, they told me to verify the colors in store, and I didn’t. That’s fair. But honestly, you’re the painters. If a client says “I want a black-and-white house” and the sample looks grey in daylight, maybe say something? It’s not like I was asking for “Toasted Plum #7637”, it was black and white.

Ironically, once I said I didn’t like the grey, they suggested Tricorn Black, which looked perfect. Would’ve been nice to get that rec before the house got sprayed.

The Surprise Add-On:

Also, near the end, I was hit with an extra $1300 charge for additional coats due to the “color change” from a darker blue to white, and light trim to dark. They say this was in the fine print of the proposal, which it was, technically. But it was never clearly discussed during our conversations. That kind of thing should be stated up front in plain terms:

“Hey, just so you know, switching to white from a dark color is going to add $1,300 to the job.”

That would’ve gone a long way toward trust.

Bottom Line

Would I hire them again? Yes, but I’d be way more careful.
Would I recommend them? Only if you’re very clear and double-confirm every detail, especially your color choices and any potential extra charges.
They did the job. But I left the experience feeling like I had to do more of the thinking than I should have for a professional painting company.

We are very pleased with the whole house exterior painting work that CertaPro did for us recently. It was a big job! Manny, the supervisor, was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable & very focused/task oriented. He was amazing! He communicated very well with us before the work began, as well as all throughout the week. Manny was on the job daily, and the other painters (Jorge & Ricardo) also worked very hard (during some excessive heat) as well. We met the Sergio, the manager, as he arrived to check on the progress of the team. He also communicated with us regarding the progress of the job in a professional, friendly, and helpful manner.
