We couldn’t be happier with the exceptional work done by HK Construction! From start to finish, they showed true professionalism and craftsmanship. They arrived early or right on time every day and worked quickly without sacrificing quality — the attention to detail in every part of the project was outstanding. They were communicative, respectful, and clearly take pride in their work. The finished result exceeded our expectations and truly transformed the space. We’d highly recommend them to anyone in Redlands looking for reliable, top-notch construction services!

I have a 1958 home with no insulation in the walls. I had 2 walls torn down, insulation installed and replaced the drywall. Removed the bathroom door and replaced it with a barn style door. Then textured the entire room, ceiling included. John had his crew in and done within a week. They worked clean and were professional the entire time. I would recommend and use HK Construction again.

John and the girls at HK Construction need more than 5 Stars! I met John through networking and typically contractors are in and out of those events. John is not only attending events but he’s heavily involved! His passion for his company is unmatched and his quality is INSANE. As a contractor myself who uses John on projects, I can say that he is all about the details. Everyone should give John a shot on their project, you will be impressed with the professionalism and dedication they put toward your project.

The quality of their work was excellent. Everything was completed on schedule, and the attention to detail really showed in the finished project. The crew kept the work area clean and were respectful of my home throughout the entire process.

The HK Construction team did a PHENOMENAL job on our project! We wanted to create an independent living space/ADU concept in our home for our college-aged daughter. We swapped out a window for a sliding door for exterior access. The guys were detailed with measurements and making sure the door was leveled and flush with our walls. Door is thoroughly waterproofed, works smooth, and looks amazing. David did a fantastic job on adding plumbing for a kitchenette. That is NOT a piece you want to DIY, so I’m glad we had a licensed plumber to complete that! We chose quartz countertops finishing for cabinet boxes and an under-mount sink we had on hand. The countertop team was thorough beyond what we anticipated. We changed our minds a couple times on overhang and backsplash - they were patient and accommodating with us. It is Stunning! From start to finish, our A-type personalities appreciated the clean workspaces and professionalism the team operated with. The communication system HK used was easy to understand and navigate from phone and laptop.

I can’t wait for our next home project. We want to redo our kitchen with tile backsplash and floating shelves… maybe add a few windows around the house. We look forward to working with HK Construction again and highly recommend them for anyone local.

We had a really great experience with HK for our bathroom remodel, and we’re so glad we chose them. From the beginning, John was friendly and easy to talk to, and full of great ideas. He really listened to what we wanted and shared thoughtful suggestions that made the space both more beautiful and more functional. Chloe was also amazing to work with—she kept us updated every step of the way and was always quick to respond whenever we had questions.

What we appreciated most was how respectful the team was of our home. They showed up on time every time, worked efficiently, and always made sure everything was cleaned up before they left. That level of care really made the whole process much less stressful for us.

We’re truly happy with the final result. Our bathroom turned out even better than we expected. We’d absolutely recommend HK to anyone looking for someone reliable and easy to work with.

They installed a sliding glass door and did some electrical work for us. The electrical work, lights and the fan installation was 5 out of 5 stars. The sliding glass door had some small issues, i.e. cracks on the wall around the frame, and a loose floor tile. But we reached out to them and they came back and fixed them with no issues. Overall, we are very happy with John and HK Construction.

This company (John) and their contractors are very unprofessional, they damaged my property with paint, only offered to provide repair by auto detailing (which did not help) after two auto detailing sessions I requested their insurance information and they’re refusing to give the information, per John he stated to my attorney “sue us” & that he will not be giving any information. Such a headache! I wouldn’t recommend. Be careful.
