My favorite plant store in the area. High quality selection. Super helpful, welcoming staff. I love it here!

Staff was super helpful! Everyone wore masks and kept distance, and staff limited the number of people in the store. Great selection of plants, and there was a cat there which was a super bonus :D

Walked in here and it gives racist vibes. Everyone was greeted nicely but my family. Even was looked in the eyes of an employee was wasn’t busy and not greeted or offered help. Over priced anyways.

My favorite local nursery, they always have an amazing selection of veggie starts, drought tolerant plants and even CA natives🥰 Was seriously impressed at how fast they were able to implement social distancing and even set up an online shopping platform. Thanks for being awesome plant foundry!!!

Poor selection, consisting mostly of a hodgepodge of plants found at Annie's Heirloom Seeds, an online retailer. They're gentrifying Oak Park and providing no real tangible benefits to the actual residents of the neighborhood. They're part of the problem, not the solution. You're way better off shopping elsewhere. Just go to Green Acres or Pietro Talini's.

Edit: The establishment has resorted to the underhanded tactic of attempting to call me out as a fake reviewer. Then they tried to portray me as some kind of awful woman-hater because I called them out for gentrifying Oak Park. Finally, they put forth a logical fallacy, suggesting that the space can either be occupied by their business, or something unpleasant. Did you notice that nobody asked the residents of Oak Park what _they_ would like to see occupy the space instead--like a community center, a town square, or a place for people experiencing homelessness to receive services? In actuality, I am very much a real person--and an active member of the community. I sit on the board of several local organizations, including Sacramento Area Peace Action and the City of Sacramento's Environmental Justice Collaborative Governance Committee. Feel free to look into my background if you are so inclined.

If the business provides such a valuable service to the residents of the community, then why did I not witness a _single_ person of color enter the establishment in the approximately 30-45 minutes I was there? If the establishment provides such a _valuable_ service to the community, then why were a whole bunch of the plants toppled over and in such a sad state while I was there? Why were the grounds sopping wet, with hoses strewn along pathways, posing a slip, trip, and fall hazard to their customers? Let's look at the facts here: in the last decade, the percentage of Black people living in Oak Park has declined by 24 percent. Establishments like these, moving in and charging sky-high prices that regular people can't afford, are part of the problem, not the solution. I'd much rather have a Black-owned and operated business here than this disgrace. The owner ought to be ashamed of themselves for spewing this filth online, attempting to "clap back" at anyone who dares to call attention to their shameful business practices, and should instead focus on either lowering their prices or moving somewhere like East Sacramento or Roseville.

This place is fantastic. Lots of good quality plants and everything else needed plant and care for them.. The staff was very helpful as well. Who need the big box stores when we have The Plant Foundry.

Very nice stuff but pretty expensive. I wanted to buy some 6-packs of bedding plants, but they only have singles which cost about the same for a single as six would cost elsewhere. Great selection of native plants.

The Plant Foundry is AMAZING! Everyone is super helpful there. I had to ask a ton of questions my first time, but I got all of the answers and advice I needed! They always have great quality plants in nice shape!!

Nice selection, fair prices. Garden wares area seemed kind of cluttery. Service was slow at checkout. It's nice to support a local nursery though instead of big box store.

Their employees seem to be prejudice and suspicious towards people of color. Today I went in to buy a few plant and a young woman with straight black hair behind the register visibly change her disposition after attending to a white woman. This is not the first time I've experienced this at The Plant Foundry. I would think twice before going if you are any shade of brown.

When the plant foundry opened up I was happy to have a plant nursery close to me, since then every time I have shopped at the plant foundry I have not felt welcome, I left a review in an attempt to address the way employees have treated me and I don't appreciate that you are deflection the responsibility of your employees actions, to what you are calling my "'misperceptions."

Awesome place! Had the perfect succulent/cactus soil I was looking for. They also have a great variety of plants & planters. Will definitely be a regular customer here!

I go here somewhat frequently because I'm big into plants and shopping small. But, they are always sold out of their indoor plants as well as a lot of their specialised items. The staff is helpful (once you ask) and happy to talk plants... I just wish they had more in stock

I purchased a Citrus "lemon'" Tree as a gift afterward I found that the recipient is allergic to Citrus. Then called The Plant Foundry and I was told I cant replace and/or return. Iam including the recipient my granfdaughter are. very disappointed and surprised that The Plant Foundry didn't come to an agreement. Customer Services ends once you've completed a sale. I will not be a customer.

Lots of cute things like a local, boutique shop would have but also useful stuff for serious gardeners. I like the seasonal selection as well as the selection of native and unusual plants. A fairly good offering of shade/part shade plants as well, which is nice if you live nearby it's likely you have at least one large tree near you.

Angela has an awesome place. I can always find the plants I am looking for and if I can't make up my mind, she points me in the right direction. Be sure to walk through the store, it will be hard not to purchase one of the unique items offered. Look for Aretha the kitty while you're there.

Great prices, lovely selection of plants and tons of seeds and other gardening accessories for a compact location. Helpful staff and well organized nursery. Will be stopping here again next time I am in town

My mom and I have been coming to Plant Foundry for years but hadn't been since Covid, so we were very excited to return today. We had a gift card to use, but when we checked out, we were told we couldn't use it in the store (which was not posted anywhere online or in the store or on the gift card). We were told to step aside and use our phone to purchase the items online then get back in line to pick them up. Before we could even ask any questions or the names of the plants we chose, how to use the site, etc. , the cashier pushed them aside and began helping the next customer. The mobile site did not work, everything we clicked kept looping us back to the home page. When we let the cashier know, she said "oh, sorry about that" and when we tried to ask questions she ignored us and continued helping others.
This used to be a place where we could always rely on great quality and service, but after today I think we will take our business to the many other local plant stores in Sacramento.

They have a pretty good collection. But the plants are way overpriced. I’d love to support a local business, but they don’t cater to the neighborhood they’re in. It’s aimed towards the gentrification of Oak Park. They charge triple the price for plants... I’m not paying $24.99 for a golden pothos if I can get one for $7.99 at IKEA...

The Plant Foundry has been a wonderful store that I've shopped at for years. They are now my favorite nursery during COVID because of their diligence with social distancing. Nothing feels normal anymore, but this is the one place I can shop in peace, knowing that they are taking care to keep everyone safe. They're still kind, helpful, and let you feel like you can take your time shopping. Sometimes you need to wait in line for a few minutes, but they've always moved everyone through quickly and with regards to people's safety. Aretha is an added bonus for friendly kitty cuddles.

They do an amazing job and have amazing plants! Such a cute place! And what makes them even more awesome is that they are helping us and our families stay alive by enforcing social distancing practices. Can I just say, if you left a bad review because you were annoyed by this, go home and stay home. Don’t be a dummy and a jerk.
