I am very satisfied with the entire process from the beginning to the end. A shoot out to Emily the presentation and demo. Everything she said was to the dot. (product, encentive, date of installation, and referral gift). Athena costumer service was always attentive to our needs. As for the encentive installers. (Quiet Cool, Nest, and Ring) Their work was professionally quick. My Family thank you for your services and costumer service.
Ilumsolar out beats the 5 other referral quotes. ( Tesla, Sun run from Costco, Baker Sun, Blue Energy, and ect.) Thank you again...

If the operators of this business aren't capable of operating simple machinery and displaying just a little human decency...this is NOT a business to give any of your hard earned money to!

Ilum solar is Top notch. Ryan and staff are on it. This is not a fly by night solar company. Local , honest and fast. Ryan even brought my dogs treats and played ball with my kids in the yard. I also appreciate their community involvement sponsoring various events.

Technician came today and Install my offered Ring Door Bell after my purchase, really quick and easy Installation. Great Work.. Solar through illum is a definite plus love this company.

Company has drug their feet finishing my solar. Almost one year later Im still not getting my edison credits. Company promised reimbursement for panels not working and time off Iost from work waiting on them to finish, but still have yet to recieve OR hear from them. Was promised bird netting but it still has yet to be applied. Solar was installed in September of 2022. As of June 3 2023 still nothing. Do not deal with these people. As soon as they get your money they rush the job and never want to come back to fix issues. Lots of excuses.......
Horrible customer service!

Installation was really good. I had a inverter that failed about a year-and-a-half after it was installed and repairs was started but never finished. My solar has not been producing anything for over six months now. to call them you can never get through you only get an answering machine. If I were you I would find some business with that will follow up with you instead of just wanting to get the money for the installation and product.

I contracted Ilum solar to expand an existing solar photovoltaic system on my San Jose home's roof. I chose to buy the parts on my own and contract Ilum for installation and permitting. I added 11.22 kW DC of capacity to the existing 9.46kW DC, all using Enphase micro-inverters. This also necessitated changing my 200amp main breaker panel to a PVL model.
Robert was easy to work with, responsive, and provided very reasonable quotes. The panels were installed in early October 2022, within 60 days of my initial contact with Robert. It took somewhat longer to get the PVL panel due to parts shortages. In the meantime, we lived with a 150A main breaker. Everything was done to my great satisfaction and with permits, and the upgraded system qualifies for NEM2.

Highly recommend! Very pleased with our system. We were very impressed with everyone we encountered with this company. Our sales person Anthony, Bettina, our coordinator, the gentelmen that installed our panals and Nathan that installed our Ring! When we encountered an issue, it was quickly resolved. I would like to change from 1 star to 5 stars. I just want to say, the people I have dealt with are amazing. I had some issues after installation and I called Bettina and she was on top of it. Her and Nate are two of the best people you could ever want to deal with. The owner of the company is pretty amazing as well. He took care of me and my issue, quickly. Thank you Ilum Solar for caring about your customers the way you do, and thank you from the bottom of my heart Nate and Bettina, you two are amazing!

The people at Ilum Solar installed my solar system and I could not recommend a company more highly. My project was a complex residential installation requiring two inverters and 47 solar Panels to handle the loads for the property. Robert, the company owner and engineer is amazing. He let me know right off that we needed to be circumspect as to how much load to put on this system, but it functions perfectly and has provided power for my family during power outages which are not uncommon in my area. After a recent power outage one of my inverters failed to restart properly causing one of our three backup batteries to lose its charge. I called Ilum to report the problem and they were out the very same day correcting the problem and putting the system in perfect working order. Oh, and I have not had a PG&E bill since installation. I Also received a substantial tax credit on the solar system. Basically, a big win, win. I no longer live in fear of the evil PG&E PSPSs

Would have been a 5, but read on.
Had ilum solar do a solar system on my roof and had no trouble initially, then had 1 issue with them regarding MPU (master panel upgrade). That issue resulted in the county and PG&E not signing off it in a timely fashion. The sales person, who is no longer with them, made a promise to pay 2 months of payments if the system was not signed off. Well it wasn't and 1 payment was made and no issue. 2nd month came and issue began. Long story short is after speaking to current supervisor it was made right.

I recently had Ilum Solar add 3.8 kW of solar panels to our roof, complementing the 4.8 kW system we had installed by a different company 12 years ago. In addition, we wanted a home battery system installed. Ilum recommended the Sonnen battery and we went with the Eco10 product. Bottom line: Ilum did a great job. They did the work very quickly and very professionally. They communicated with us regularly before, during, and after completion of the work. The solar panels had a problem a few days after installation due to heavy rains. Ilum dispatched someone the day after I called to fix the problem, and they assured us it will not happen again. We've had a number of questions about how to optimize the settings on our Sonnen battery, and Ilum has been very helpful in getting the questions answered. I recommend this company very highly.

From the very beginning the Solar Representative Brandon Barnett has been kind, genuine, informative, resourceful and on our side! We then are in the hands of Ilum Solar and Sharonda I feel has been exceptional with responding to me on time and answering all concerns or questions pertaining our Solar project. The crew that came to our home to do the Solar installation and everyone included, The Electrician and the Surveyor were all polite, respectful, knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to work with. As home owner we are confident we did the right thing with right people and we are Grateful to everyone involved.

BEWARE this company is all about the sale. They will sell to anyone including the elderly and demented. They don’t respond to requests for help. I asked them many times not to sell to my husband because he had dementia but they ignored me. I told the salesman I would not sign and I didn’t. It didn’t matter. It was installed when I was gone. Now my husband is in long term memory care facility, doesn’t remember doing this and I’m stuck with a $295 bill each month for?? My husband insisted the roof was free. I didn’t believe that but no one would verify. I have no contract that I can find so I don’t even know how long I’ll be paying and for what? Roof? Panels? My utility bill hasn’t changed. It’s still $350 a month plus the $295. Please be careful dealing with these people!!
