I recently used Huge Handyman to repair a very heavy metal door at our office that wasn’t closing properly. They promptly returned my call, provided a clear estimate, and quickly scheduled the work. Their technician, Jimmy, was professional, friendly, and clearly explained the issue and how he would fix it. The repair was completed efficiently and the door now works perfectly.

Update: Had a small issue that was worked out with Greg. He was willing to stand by his work and offered a variety of solutions, and we found a reasonable way to address the issue with the counter. I'll round up and say 4.5 stars, and definitely willing to hire them again to take care of things, especially as they stand behind what they do.

Greg and his team were very responsive and delivered what was requested. The techs (Juan and Ricardo) did a very solid job repairing worn out and damaged cabinets and installed new counters for a very small kitchen.

Restoration of a demolished bathroom (had to replace ALL the plumbing). JG the perfectionist was always on time and great guy to work with. Some before/after pics below. I have other stuff around the house I will defintely use them again.

Years ago, my father told me to learn what i do great and hire people to do what they do. I am not a good mechanic or contractor, so we recently hired Greg Schmitt of Huge Handyman to come and do numerous jobs at our home. They repaired pieces of tile that came off of our barbeque island, installed surround sound in our family room. Huge Handyman put in motion sensor lights in our home so we would not walk in the dark. One of the toilets needed new internal guts and that was done.
Their attention to detail and cleanliness were exemplary. The pricing of all of their work was very competitive, and Greg is extremely easy to work with when asked to do anything with the job.
The people showed up on time and kept us informed about the details of progress.

I hired Huge Handyman quite a few times to do some small jobs around the house for me...The first job was patching some bad drywall spots all over the house...Then they replaced some interior doors for me and painted them, installed the door trim and new hardware, and did baseboards also...After this was done, the guys built a large shed in our backyard with electricity for my husband as a workshop surprise!
My husband and I were so happy with their professionalism, cleanliness and top quality work that we decided to hire them as our contractor to renovate our bathrooms and our kitchen!!! Their name says Handyman, but I found out a lot of these guys working for Huge Handyman are licensed contractors as well..
Anyways, our bathrooms and our new kitchen turned out so beautiful!

Second personal experience with Huge Handyman and it did not disappoint. They reached out right away after submitting my request. I was able to get on their schedule the next week. Had four curtain rods hung and a piece of art. Rafael was timely and communicative during the process. He was professional and super helpful. Showed him one other area we needed help with at the end and he caught that our towel rack was falling out and fixed it. Thanks again Rafael and Huge Handyman!

I had Greg and the Huge Handyman team do a lot of work on my new barbershop. The whole crew is kind, very professional and capable of any construction jobs from simple handyman services, woodworking, flooring, drywall and any finished carpenter work. Jimmy spent a lot of time around my place and did a phenomenal job, paying attention to detail, even when some things weren’t ideal, he found a way to make it work and accommodated my needs. Friendly, professional and dedicated to their work.

We hired a huge handyman a second time due to the quality of work they provided on our last project. Ricardo the estimator came same-day to assess our flooring and tile grout repair.

Bill the installer came on-time and finished the work quicker than estimated. Very friendly and knowledgeable with home repairs.

They take great care of the job site with floor covering and cleaned up well. Highly recommend this company

Huge Handyman came over to install an electric fireplace and hood vent over our gas range. Exceptional service and quality!

Very efficient with their work as well. These guys have integrity in their business. They finished ahead of schedule and even credited back a portion of the estimate.

Invoicing was easy and clear. I’ve worked on a few remodel projects and this contractor has the best communication and quality to work. I’d highly recommend them!

I recently completed a large U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project in San Diego involving the rehabilitation and modernization of an early-1950s home. Near the end of the job, I was in a serious pinch and reached out to HUGE Handyman LLC—and I’m extremely glad I did.

From the first face-to-face meeting, Greg (the owner) immediately put me at ease. He was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and sincere. This was not a typical handyman job—it was a federally contracted, compliance-heavy project with strict quality requirements—and Greg understood the situation right away. After one meeting, I was confident he and his team could handle it.

Greg runs a top-notch operation. His crew is highly skilled, well-rounded, punctual, and professional. Despite the extra coordination, documentation, and phased scheduling required on a government contract, they executed everything flawlessly. As someone who manages government projects regularly, I was genuinely impressed by how seamlessly they integrated and delivered.

They went above and beyond, even offering to work weekends to help me meet critical deadlines. The attitudes, time management, and quality of work were outstanding.

John was the lead Greg assigned to my operation, and he absolutely knocked it out of the park. His knowledge of means and methods, attention to detail, and commitment to quality were second to none. From building custom wood gates from scratch to building custom door jams for unorthodox sizes & then rehabilitating lock sets from the 60s this guy knows his stuff and was a Huge asset to the project. JOHN, you’re the man!

I would highly recommend HUGE Handyman LLC for projects big or small. Outstanding people, outstanding work.

We have used DI Repairs several times for handyman type issues at our home in Del Mar. In each case DI was responsive and the service was reasonably priced.

I hired DI Repairs to fix a gutter that wasn’t properly draining away water. While they fixed the drainage issue with better sealant (no new parts) at a cost of $548, the technician damaged the elbow. When brought to their attention, they stated it was already like that. We showed them a picture of the part we’d taken before their arrival. Their reply was an image of the dented elbow part, stating that’s how it was. Take a look for yourself- first two are images of gutter elbow before they came (one is a close up of other), while the third image is what they sent us stating it was like that. Only thing I can think of is, how would we have an image of a non-damaged part? That picture with the non damaged elbow, but improperly draining water, is what compelled the HOA to hire DI Repairs.

9/1/2023 EDIT: Update. Since the original review 6 months ago, it rained here. We were able to confirm that DI Repairs never accomplished what we hired them for- having payed hundreds of $$$’s. Filing complaint with both California State Insurance Commissioner and BBB
