I selected Leon Design and Build for a home project, and we are very happy with the outcome. Rom and his team are highly experienced and deliver professional, high-level results.
They also improved on some existing areas not part of the project. They do thorough work without taking any shortcuts.

Sean & his crew were amazing, start to finish! After sending out a request for quotes via Yelp, Sean followed up with me immediately and remained communicative throughout the entire process. He provided a quote that was well below two others I received for the same project.

Our project included: demo & removal of a long walk-way, dig out of old dirt and large roots, large tree removal, DG & pavers install, drip system install.

Sean was very thorough during the quoting process, and I appreciate that he didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary items. Sean worked within our budget and provided helpful input along the way. His crew was prompt and respectful of our property, which I also appreciated!

We bought a house that had a dirt & dead lawn patch that turned into mud when it rained and flowed onto the sidewalk and street. We wanted to take care of it quickly before any major storms came through so I reached out to a few people on Yelp and Leon Design & Build was the first to respond.

Sean came over the next day for an in-person estimate and gave me options and pricing as well as his recommendation for what he would do. He was very professional and personable and I liked him right away. I did my due diligence though and got estimates from the other contractors that responded to my Yelp request. We went with Sean because his pricing was very reasonable, he had great reviews (and no complaints with the state license board unlike some of the others), and he was super communicative with me.

I am so happy we chose to go with Leon Design & Build! The whole process was enjoyable and easy. Sean bent over backwards to work within our fast timeline and rescheduled the job to better suit our needs, which is saying a lot since it was right before Christmas. He also went the extra mile to find and buy pavers that matched our pre-existing walkway pavers. His crew did a fantastic job with the installation, matching the slope of our walkway and driveway so everything is smooth and seamless.

I will be going with Leon Design & Build for any future projects and highly recommend Sean to anyone looking for a great contractor.

Leon Design & Build delivers exceptional work! From the beginning, communication with Shimon was clear and our quote was reasonable. Leon Design & Build did an amazing job and they were very kind and hardworking. We recently had the pleasure of working with Shimon and his team on a project that included a 50 ft long retaining wall, foundations for sheds and addressed drainage issues in our side yard.  From the first time we met with Shimon, we felt like we were in good hands.  He’s honest, punctual, communicated really well, and moved the project along seamlessly.  His team worked so hard, were all very kind, and cleaned up after the job each day.  We had a few things we wanted to change mid-job, and Shimon was understanding and helped us achieve our goals.
We have many more projects we plan to tackle in the future, and plan to use Leon Design and Build for all of them.

From the moment I contacted Leon Design and Build, Shimon (the owner) was responsive and attentive. I had an idea for the backyard re-model, which involved putting in a new retaining wall, levelling/grading a section of the backyard and installing pavers, and laying down turf with drip lines for a few trees. Shimon worked with me on refining the design, and using his years of construction knowledge to build it in a way that was affordable, attractive, and would last. Before we signed a contract, he also invited me to see some of the construction sites and talk to the owners, and after hearing several glowing reviews, and seeing that he clearly had the expertise to execute my re-model, I hired him.
Shimon made it clear that we were going to be a team, and he always patiently addressed my questions as the project progressed, made recommendations, and went the extra mile to make the sure project was the best it could be. Even after construction began, if he saw an opportunity to improve the design, either aesthetically or structurally, he took it.
The workers did a good job containing the work to the re-model area, cleaned up after themselves, and the work itself was of a very high quality, which hopefully you can see from the photographs.

Shimon and his team poured and finished our concrete slab exactly to the specifications provided. The crew was professional, punctual, and communicated clearly throughout the process. The site was kept clean, and the final product is level, smooth-finished, and completed in time communicated. This slab will be used to build a hobby workshop that is about 274 sqft.

I appreciate their attention to detail, communication of concerns, and commitment to doing the job correctly. Jose has over 26 years of concrete experience and you can feel his passion for it. He helped me think through other ideas for my hobby workshop to take into consideration for the slab. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing quality concrete work and great value.

Amber Hill was the one assigned to our house and I couldn’t have received a better person to work with. She was clear, honest and very informative about what the process looked like. I wanted to refresh the look of my 20-year-old engineered hardwood floors. Andrew came by, thoroughly assessed their condition, and gave a straightforward, honest evaluation of what could be done, along with several options to improve their appearance. He also shared practical advice for a few temporary DIY fixes I could handle myself. Overall, he struck me as a highly knowledgeable and honest craftsman who clearly takes pride in his work.

San Diego refinished my hardwood floors with dustless equipment and did a fantastic job. Andrew knows his stuff and was super helpful.

Andrew is the best! I was looking for a person to refinish my hardwood floors who was knowledgeable about water-based finishes and more eco-friendly alternatives to oil flooring products. He spent an hour on the phone with me at our initial phone contact describing all my options and best products for my project. He came to visit my property and spent another hour narrowing down my options and to determine if my project was the right fit for him. Due to some construction issues and time constraints on my end, he openly shared that he was not the best fit for my project. Despite this, he continued to share his knowledge with me to educate me on finding the right options for my project. He is so friendly, honest and kind. I highly recommend him as he really knows his stuff! And he is clearly not a pushy sales person as he wants the best outcome for your project!

Andrew managed to save our hardwood floors had been damaged during appliance delivery of appliances. The freight company hired some incompetent idiot to repair. Shortly thereafter the finish started to peel. After 2 years we found Andrew who accomplished the impossible. Our floors were refinished and are positively glorious. He worked wonders. Not inexpensive but worth every penny.

We aren’t easy customers. We wanted a floor we had installed less than a decade ago refinished since the original contractor didn’t do a very good job and the white oak floors were looking dingy and hadn’t aged well. Andrew was incredibly patient in explaining our options, and proceeded to sand the floors and putì down an amazingly wide-ranging selection of stain options to try to capture what we were describing. We found exactly what we were looking for among them and the results have thrilled and delighted us ever since the job was finished, The floors are holding up beautifully and we are continually pleased with the results. Couldn’t be happier!
