Andrew is the best! I was looking for a person to refinish my hardwood floors who was knowledgeable about water-based finishes and more eco-friendly alternatives to oil flooring products. He spent an hour on the phone with me at our initial phone contact describing all my options and best products for my project. He came to visit my property and spent another hour narrowing down my options and to determine if my project was the right fit for him. Due to some construction issues and time constraints on my end, he openly shared that he was not the best fit for my project. Despite this, he continued to share his knowledge with me to educate me on finding the right options for my project. He is so friendly, honest and kind. I highly recommend him as he really knows his stuff! And he is clearly not a pushy sales person as he wants the best outcome for your project!

Andrew managed to save our hardwood floors had been damaged during appliance delivery of appliances. The freight company hired some incompetent idiot to repair. Shortly thereafter the finish started to peel. After 2 years we found Andrew who accomplished the impossible. Our floors were refinished and are positively glorious. He worked wonders. Not inexpensive but worth every penny.

We aren’t easy customers. We wanted a floor we had installed less than a decade ago refinished since the original contractor didn’t do a very good job and the white oak floors were looking dingy and hadn’t aged well. Andrew was incredibly patient in explaining our options, and proceeded to sand the floors and putì down an amazingly wide-ranging selection of stain options to try to capture what we were describing. We found exactly what we were looking for among them and the results have thrilled and delighted us ever since the job was finished, The floors are holding up beautifully and we are continually pleased with the results. Couldn’t be happier!

Our experience with San Diego Hardwoods was great. The owner of the company personally refinished our Cherrywood floors and they’re shining like new again. There was stains from pets and an old rug mark that are completely gone now and our floors literally look better than the day they were installed. Andrew was super easy to work with too! You will thank him for using the dustless sanders believe me, the place was kept very clean throughout the refinishing process.

Andrew did an amazing job on my red oak floor. Went from ugly to amazingly beautiful! Removed all carpeting and doubled the wood sq.ft.
Installation and all the many sanding and finishing was done “DUSTLESS!!!” To perfection! We now have a one of a kind custom hardwood floor!

It’s very rare to find honest and legit business owners these days and I’m so grateful to have found this place. I reached out to Andrew regarding my hardwood floors and asked if he would replace some of the planks due to scratches and minimal damage. He asked for several pictures and once he saw the pictures, he recommended that I don’t replace them for now. The owner of this company is an artist. He does not subcontract the work but resurfaces/repairs hardwood himself. The hardwood kitchen/dining area in our 40 year old home were beautifully resurfaced. Attention to detail was amazing. The white oak wood was brought back to life. Even small imperfections were removed. The work was performed on time. I recommend this company to anyone with hardwood floors who wants professional restoration!

San Diego Hardwoods just restored my vintage solid white oak hardwood floors with their 100% dustless system and the results are perfection! My floors had been covered by carpet for decades and were in need of a complete restoration wich included some repairs to correct water stains and termite damaged boards. Set in Stone Company did a wonderful job cleaning and resealing our Saltillo tile floors. We were discouraged because our floors that had looked beautiful when installed started to look dirty - despite all our scrubbing and cleaning. A tile professional recommended David so we decided to try his company. We are delighted with the results. Our floors are beautiful again. His employees were very professional, respectful of our property and nice to have in our home. We recommend this company without reservation.

I spoke with David about fixing a crack in my quartz countertop. He advised that if the crack isn’t noticeable, it’s best to leave it as is. I really appreciated his honesty and that he didn’t try to push unnecessary services. Highly recommend!

This is a great company, David (the owner) provides very detailed information regarding the process. They cleaned, removed sealing, and polished our travertine floors. Cesar and Jordan are amazing and did a wonderful job; they covered all furniture and baseboards, they were very careful when moving furniture, and their job was clean and neat. They did more than outstanding work. The floors look amazing, I cannot thank them enough and the price was very affordable. They went the extra mile to make sure I was satisfied with their work. Very pleased with our experience with Set-In-Stone Restoration cleaning and resealing our Saltillo tile floors. David came out to give us an estimate and determined that we did not need to strip the floors, saving us a lot of money.
