Garden for the Environment holds classes on Wednesday and Saturday to learn about urban gardening while maintaining an impressive garden in the Sunset district.

Very friendly staff. This center provide some useful classes regarding gardening and landscaping. They also provide volunteer opportunity for those who like to learn about gardening and landscaping.

Beautiful little garden with all sorts of veggies as well as flowering plants with great explanations about gardening in different climates. They do courses and events. If you're in the area it's worth a walk through even with golden gate park right there!

The field trip was pretty fun but the best part was the lunch

This is one place I hope never has to leave San Francisco. The one I've been to is on 7th Ave. near Lawton in the Inner Sunset. They offer wonderful educational programs about organic gardening, landscaping, composting, and you can become a community educator if you take some of their longer programs, which I've wanted to do for some time. Very cool place!

What a lovely public green space! Wide variety of well maintained flora, plenty of space to sit and relax and enjoy the sun (or fog), and a big city bike rental station right out front.

Running water to a sink, faucet and and bottle station are great additions. The garden is thriving and doing so well.

This is a teaching garden, which means it's a place that holds gardening classes. The food that they grow is harvested and donated to local charities. They welcome volunteers of all ages to help in the garden and their classes are great too. The instructor for the class I took was very knowledgeable and took her time explaining things to us in a clear way. I hope to return soon to help harvest food and take one of their monthly composting classes.

I went here for a field trip and everybody was so nice. Peter was also really chill and sounded like Tyler, The Creator and he loved it when my friends and I told him that. The only thing I didn't like was Makayla. She was mean and was sorta disrespectful to me and my 5th grade class, but other than that it was good and I really look forward to going here again for fun and seeing everybody but Makayla! 😛 I also had so much fun doing the art activity with Peter and Tommy!

Lovely little community garden. Despite being off of a busy street, it's a wonderful little oasis.

What a beautiful neighborhood community teaching garden! WOW! With two formal outdoor classroom settings and learning lab options at every pathway corner, you could happily spend hours or days here.

Cool little spot over in the Sunset. I went for a workshop that unfortunately was cancelled but it ended up being a nice outing even so. Lots of cool low moisture options for the home garden.

Lovely small public garden near Golden Gate Park (but outside it). A peaceful little gem with calming plants and trees, all lovingly labeled, and a large set of benches to sit among them.

I cannot say enough good things about Silvio and his team. They do incredible work, are very professional, and are great to work with.
