I was informed that my duct work was quite old, which I already suspected, but I would have liked to have set down some heavy paper or tarps beforehand. They brought a couple of tarps, but everything had to be moved through the hallway with all wood floors. My home also serves as a sewing studio, so to someone unfamiliar, the sight of bolts of fabric, large work tables, and industrial equipment might not seem as important as nice furniture or carpets. Another tip would be to rent an air scrubber if you have old duct work. I rented one from Home Depot for the day, and the filter was definitely dirty afterward! Overall, it was a great experience!
