About the business:
I grew up in a family where design and construction were everyday conversations. My mother was an architect and my father a civil engineer — they worked side-by-side on new developments and multi-story buildings. Watching them transform ideas into real structures inspired me from a young age.
When it came time to choose my own career, civil engineering felt like a natural calling. I pursued my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Civil Engineering at San José State University, where I fell in love with how engineering solves real-world problems for communities and families.
Throughout my career working with public works and government agencies in California, I learned the detailed requirements of ADU design, California Building Code, and Residential Code. I realized homeowners needed a simpler and more affordable way to build ADUs — without sacrificing quality, safety, or engineering expertise.
