We worked with Lux Construction to build a 2 bed / 1 bath ADU and had a positive experience overall.
We chose them for their physical office and strong craftsmanship shown in site tours. Pricing wasn’t the cheapest, but quality felt worth it. The design/permit phase took some time (9 months) as we iterated and also city was slower during holiday season, but the team was patient and knowledgeable.
Once permits were approved, GC Shay came on-site and everything started moving very quickly—breaking ground for sewage and foundation soon after. Shay was a great GC: organized, responsive, and kept the project progressing efficiently. Construction ran from mid May 2025 to end of October (~5 months, which is quick for the scope). Aside from a few extra rounds on foundation inspection and a window delivery delay due to vendor, everything went smoothly. They also handled city permitting end-to-end, including CDD review and final permit, which took a couple of months after construction due to city review capacity constraints.
They stick to contract scope (e.g., driveway fix not included), so plan separately for extras. Overall, solid quality, efficient build, and professional team. We truly appreciate all the work the team put into building our ADU.

As a first time homeowner, I was very hesitant to hire just any company to remodel my bathroom. I had my own vision for what it would look like, and I really wanted contractors who could take the vision and turn it into a work of art. I first heard of LU Construction from a family friend who recommended the company to me, so I decided to take my chances.
I was so suprised at how fast my bathroom was complete. From the original consultation until the completion of the project, I was beyond impressed. All the guys that came to work on it were so professional and friendly. They went above and beyond to clean up after themselves, and left no mess. I love the finished product so much. I have nothing but good things to say about this company. I'm very happy that I decided to go with LU Construction, the price was completely reasonable, and I now have the bathroom I've always wanted!
