I didn't hire Palm Construction CA. I merely had an interview with their sales expert person, not the door knocker. I gotta say they are outrageously priced! I have an ordinary simple tract house in Clairemont and a very small grass patch in my front yard. Estimate quote was $6,000. I already have very good working sprinklers and merely wanted to re-sod the front yard patch. $6,000!!!! I got another quote for replacing the pipes under my slab to the tune of $45,000!!! He didn't even measure!! I have all new pipes in my kitchen and main bathroom, so where does this high price come about??!!
I saw someone on Yelp who posted a photo of Palm Construction flyer which was identical to mine except it has a totally different phone number!! The door knocker's name is on the flyer, Chauncey Evans.
It appears via the California Contractor's Licensing Board that they have been associated with other contractors and complaints were filed for starting work without obtaining the permit. Not the kind of business I would want to do work for me!!
Soooo, if they knock on your door? Just close your door. I was shown no previous work or given any referrals, either. I'm a senior and this company is not one I would trust!!
