SCAM-Buyer BEWARE-My Husband called A+ Appliance Repair. . He spoke to a Janice. We were quoted $79 for a service call. I am writing the review to let people of Santa Monica and Los Angeles know that this Compay main office is in Chicago. Sub-Contracotr (we found out later) Robert came out, He had to do a simple door adjustment on our Dishwasher. When it came time to pay the bill. We asked for a written bill invoice. He said his company would send that to us. We never got that...and I made him wait. So I made one up for him because he could not write in English. He presented no invoice. When I pressed furthur for his Business License he flashed me some blank "official looking" paperwork on his tiny phone; that looked official. I told him to e-mail it to me. It ended up being a "W-9" for me to fill out; and blank license forms for City of Santa Monica for"Industrial Waster Water Permit"; and"Commercial Zoning Review Form"; and an blank "Applicaion for a Business License"and more; none that pertained to having a Contractors License or even a Business License to perform work on my dishwasher in Los Angeles. What recourse would I have...? I did not pay him. I spent two hours trying to legetimize this guy so I could pay him. Be careful. There are Scam Brokers who look for guys and these guys may or may not know how to work on your appliance...Think about it andr ask for documentation on paper that you can make a copy of.

I appreciate that they send a picture of the person who is coming and when, they send the timeframe also. They also let you know when the person is soon to arrive. The woman who helped me make the appointment was helpful and courteous. I already recommended them to a friend today.

Do not use this company. Like other reviews below, I feel I was scammed by this company. They responded promptly with the initial call. The technician came out and told me it "might or might not" be the compressor problem and took $75 as a diagnosis fee. I told him to go ahead and replace the compressor. He said he will follow up. I waited for 2 weeks. They never called me back. I called them back and whenever I call them they "apologize" and tells me they will "escalate" my case to the higher level and they will "try" to reach the technician. I've heard 2 representatives saying exactly same phrase verbatim in 2 days. They must have been told to read the pre-prepared script to the customers who are complaining the same issue. Then again, nothing happens. I requested refund on the diagnosis fee. Of course they denied it.

Alex was great - really knows his stuff, and provided a full description on the service. On time, very friendly, excellent communication and super professional. Highly recommend them, although my guess is that they'll quickly get busy since word gets around.
