I couldn’t be happier with the work done by Kirby Construction and their team! Zeke and Joe made the entire process smooth, professional, and stress-free. They communicated clearly, showed up on time, and delivered exactly what they promised—actually better than I expected.
The craftsmanship is top-notch, and every detail was handled with care. It’s rare to find a contractor who is this reliable, transparent, and committed to quality. They kept the workspace clean, stayed on schedule, and made sure I was informed at every step.
If you’re looking for a trustworthy, skilled, and highly professional general contractor, I can’t recommend Kirby enough. I will absolutely be using them again for future projects! -
The whole team at Kirby are the nicest folks! Aaron, Zeke, and Joe are so nice and easy going I can’t compliment them enough. Thanks guys! See you again soon!

From the very beginning, their staff has demonstrated exceptional professionalism, expertise, and a genuine commitment to understanding and meeting our needs. No matter the size or complexity of the project, Kirby has consistently delivered high-quality results on time and within budget.

The worker's are theives. Stealing water off property owner's home which we have to pay out of pocket for. NOTHING is FREE!

I have had Urban Equity work on a few of my projects. They are professional and easy to work with. Their work is top notch.

Was quoted 4-6 weeks for our master bath remodel. After 8 weeks we weren't even half done. We wouldn't find out if anyone was showing up that day until the morning. After shower tile was done, several of them were cracked. We ended up having to fire them from the job and had someone else finish it.

I lost my home to the 2017 Tubbs fire and I was so lost. I shut down entirely because it was so overwhelming. So thankful for this company, as they dealt with my insurance company and took the overwhelming aspect out of it. Yes, it took a while to build, but that is because the city is very slow and I kept changing my mind on major decisions. I think my home is the nicest built home in Fountaingrove!!! I keep looking at new homes in fountaingrove, and they just do not compare to the one Urban Equity Builders built my family!

Look for the article on them in the Press Democrat. It says about all you need to know.
I should've known better when he walked into my house wearing designer jeans too tight to even squat in that he wasn't a real contractor, but for some reason I looked past that. We hired them through Lowe's for a master bathroom remodel. We were quoted 4-6 weeks timeline. After 8 weeks, the project was not even halfway done. The shower had cracks on several tiles. They were only showing up to work maybe 2 days a week, and we wouldn't know if they were going to show up until the morning of. While Chas likes to flash fancy shoes and clothes around on his Instagram page, he should probably focus more on his business since a recent article in the Press Democrat documents complaints from many people attempting to rebuild in the Coffey Park area. Stay away from these people at all costs. They shouldn't be allowed to be in business. -
Been very Happy with their work, very responsive and reasonably priced...they are still around and following through when asked

After the tubbs fire I had a hard time trusting contractors after the horror stories I heard about. A coworker of mine had their place rebuilt after the fires and recommended this company. I had them build an additional master and remodeled two of the bathrooms and turned out amazing. This compnay was straight forward and couldn’t be happier with my experience. Highly recommend.

My family and I lost our home in the Tubbs fire. We dealt with another contractor who took our money, and left a halfway framed up house, that wasn’t done real well. Urban Equity builders picked up the rebuild and not only did a superior job, but made necessary corrections Along the way. Each step of the rebuild was efficient and professional. They not only rebuilt our home, they completely decked it out. Everyone in that company is super easy to work with and made our lives so much easier during the rebuild. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to do any work on their home. We are super grateful for their efficiency, professionalism and courtesy getting my family back in our home.

Overpriced and absolutely horrible job. Hire a different contractor. I can’t begin to tell you, DO NOT HIRE THEM. See the pictures and you can decide for yourself.

I have been totally happy with the work Urban Equity Builders have done for me. I would say, more than happy. This company has saved me so much time, money and anguish.
I am a home owner and have had several major home related problems occur. This company was so quick to respond.
The first problem we had was skunks had chewed or destroyed all our duct work under our house. They came quickly assessed the problem and replaced all the duct work. And sent someone out to construct a screen to keep out the skunks.
The second time our house was flooding upstairs because of a broken pipe. We didn't know it was flooding because we were downstairs. When the ceiling started leaking water we ran up stairs and saw our bathroom and bedroom were completely flooded. We could not figure out how to shut the water off. We tried all the methods we knew how with no luck. We call Home Equity Builders and within a half hour (or less), there was someone here to shut the water valve. He helped us clean up the water in both the bathroom and the bedroom.
Both of these times, the price was totally reasonable and the workmanship was excellent and the workers were pleasant and so helpful.
Our heater has gone out now and we have called Home Equity Builders and we know they will do excellent work at a reasonable price.
I recommend this company for any work you need done on your home or if you need anything built, this is the company to call and use! -
My husband and I are blissfully happy with the remodel of our home completed by Urban Equity Builders. With the owner, Charles Olpp, at the helm, they completely remodeled a run-down 1981 home in Santa Rosa to a home that looks and feels like a brand new home in every possible way. The plumbing fixtures are all Kohler, all hardware from hinges to door stops are top quality, electrical outlets are everywhere, all floors, doors, and windows are top quality, and the new roof was the cream of the project.
We searched Santa Rosa for a turn-key house that was not in a crowded neighborhood. It was far more difficult than we anticipated. We had a very patient realtor, Danny Cronin, who appreciated that this will (hopefully) be the final home we purchase. We are semi-retired and have purchased 3 other homes in our 48 years of marriage. We often do improvements ourselves. We know quality when we see it, and we know a great small business when we find one.
Charles runs a top-notch organization with outstanding workers including painters, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and even employees who seem to be a jack-of-all-trades. All the employees we worked with were kind, patient, knowledgeable, professional, and conscientious. We moved in earlier than we expected, and his workmen never batted an eye and completed all the tasks. Moving can be traumatic, but I can honestly say that the combination of the remodel they completed along with their prompt reaction to any question or concern made the experience effortless.
As with any large project, we had a few questions or concerns. Charles or one of his team members communicated almost immediately and had the problem solved as soon as possible if not within hours of the request. I realize that every service business experiences frustrated customers, but I honestly cannot imagine what experience one was having with Urban Equity that would not be resolved immediately. They are a building company that is rock solid, and our experience has been that they will go the extra mile to please.
Just an aside: I rarely write reviews when people ask me to do so. I love honoring companies who do a great job and do not have strings attached in any way. I could not review Urban Builders quickly enough. I will use them for any project in the future and will recommend them to anyone. -
We hired Urban Equity Builders to remodel our kitchen and they did an amazing job. Start to finish, Chaz and his crew were professional, always on time, friendly and kept things within our budget. They handled everything - Demolition, plumbing, electrical (recessed lighting), flooring and countertops, all new custom fit cabinetry and even design to a certain extent. We are super happy and definitely recommend 👍
