Reviews of local pros in Saratoga, California

We were having a problem with two Sycamore trees in our front yard. After receiving a strong recommendation from the manager of a local turf supply store, I called Mike Evans, owner of West Valley Spray. Mike responded immediately, and after having me describe the problem we were experiencing with our Sycamore trees, Mike explained that the problem was not likely to be what I had thought it might be, and went on to tell me why he came to this conclusion. Mike then made a couple of recommendations on what I could do on my own to determine the real cause of the problem, and how best to resolve it, and that was that.
In short, my conversation with Mike was both educational and very heart-warming. That Mike would take the time to speak with me for several minutes, diagnose the problem, and then send me on my way to resolve the issue on my own, and at no charge for his time, has caused me to write this review. Based upon the questions that Mike asked me, along with his recommendations, I am extremely confident that Mike's advice is right on the money, and I'm looking forward to having him help us to care for the many other trees on our property.
If you're looking for an expert on how best to care for your own trees, I highly recommend Mike Evans of Evans West Valley Spray.
Thanks Mike, for the outstanding Customer Service!
Sincerely,
Bruce McCombs

Michael and his team are true experts and very experienced. They are also pleasant to work with, polite and considerate. One massive differentiation that I noticed was that they went down in the crawl space and sprayed there which is where ants tend to come up into the house. They also sprayed the outside. Further, they did a light odorless "bate" type spray on the inside along all of the base boards so that any remaining ants would take the bate and go back to the nest thus wiping out the rest. Grateful for their help. 5 stars.

Great experience working with Sahib for our pool removal and concrete work. The team was professional, on time, and easy to communicate with. They explained the process clearly and completed the project efficiently. The site was kept clean, and the finished concrete looks great 👍

I contracted Jandu Eng to do the swimming pool demolition and landscaping of the area.
I provided a sketch of what I wanted for the landscaping. Sahib and his crew were excellent !
They were diligent in the work that they did. Besides the pool demolition the landscaping installation included artificial turf, gravel walkway and an area that included flowering plants and black bark.
I am extremely happy with the completed project.
I highly recommend them for the services they provide.

They did an amazing job removing our swimming pool; efficient and quality work and professional.

Hands down best Home demolition and Excavating company in the Silicon Valley,Ca , we use them a lot for our new construction projects all across Bay Area

I called Jandu General Engineering to get an estimate for an excavation and grading project that needed to be done and they executed what we agreed upon. The representative answered all the questions and I ended up going with them. I am really happy with the price, schedule, excavating process and communication. Would definitely be using them again for future projects.

We just had our acre yard graded and leveled, about 1000 sqft of concrete removed by Jandu and were 100% satisfied with the job. The team worked hard, were professional and knowledgeable, and cleaned up nicely and quickly. We couldn’t ask for more! They completed everything in the time schedule.

Sahib and his crew did an amazing job on our shuffleboard demolition project. We highly recommend Jandu General Engineering. Thank you!

Sahib did a very good job on our home. Him and his crew work very efficiently

Shahib demolished (engineer backfill) a big backyard pool and surrounding concrete with a VERY competitive price for my house in San Jose. I highly recommend this firm to anyone considering demoing your pool.

Sahib at Jandu General engineering is a great expert in construction and engineering. We hire his company on a pool project. It was drag on for a long time by other companies and he moved in and got it done in a blink with permit and excellent result. Sahib is also a great resource in everything about construction and I always consulted him when I have a problem.

Jandu was quick to respond and provided a competitive quote the day after I called them for pool demolition. They explained the demolition options clearly and kept communication open throughout. Despite some delays due to the rainy season, they finished the job before the hot weather hit. The crew was friendly, professional, and made the whole process easy. Overall, I'm happy with Jandu's service and would recommend them for any pool demolition needs.

Sahib's been a pleasure to work with. He offered a great, competitive price to fully demo a pool (w/ permits) for me in Saratoga. It took a while to get started due to the weather but he eventually got the job done. I highly recommend him if you need someone to demo a pool.

Sahib’s team was doing great job to have our pool removed. They have all kinds of tools and experienced people.

You should have no hesitation about hiring Jandu. We hired them to remove our pool and are completely happy - they are very professional and get the work done promptly. They did the work with permits, which other contractors weren't going to do. We plan to hire them again to do a smaller job.

We did a complete backyard change with pool removal plus concrete and pavers installed in the city of San Jose. From start to finish their team was consistently first class, great communication, always on time, and of course amazing quality. Highly recommended!!

We had a great experience with the Jandu Engineering team.
They were extremely committed to their work. We assigned them a small demolition project for our studio, and they delivered a very professional finish that truly exceeded our expectations.

A special thanks to Shahib and his dad for their dedication and support throughout the project.

We would definitely recommend their company to anyone looking for reliable and hassle-free service. Once you sign with them, you can truly have peace of mind.

The Jandu Engineering team has been commendable throughout our project. We signed a contract back in April 2025 for the demolition of our house and the filling of the pool. Although there were delays in obtaining the demolition permit, the team exhibited remarkable patience and understanding during this period. They were flexible with rescheduling inspections and consistently met their obligations.

Once we finally commenced the work, their efficiency was impressive; they completed the project in less than five days using heavy machinery. Our neighbor even noted their commendable discipline, as they maintained a clean worksite and minimized noise throughout the process. Overall, I have been very pleased with their professional approach and the value they provided for the services rendered. I wish them continued success and extend my gratitude for their excellent work.

Project site: Cupertino CA

We were planning a backyard renovation and needed to completely remove our swimming pool, including the concrete around it. Jandu took care of everything — from helping us apply for the permit to removing the entire pool just the way we wanted. The work passed the city inspection with no problems.
Their price was reasonable, they were super easy to work with, and they got everything done on time and exactly as we asked. It really saved us a lot of time and stress. Highly recommend Jandu if you’re looking for someone reliable and easy to work with!

Sahib and team were great. We had done our backyard redone. Sahib guided us what material to use, and also helped design the backyard.
