Our house was getting smokey so we called Captain Kirk who was referred to us by Parsons. He was on time, did a lot of research and walked through everything why it might be smokey, cleaned it, looked at the flu switch and was over the top detailed. I highly recommend them!

We needed a sweep and parts replaced. Sweep was done in the summer. There was a delay in getting the certain stove replacement parts from the manufacturer. Tara and Kim kept us updated on the situation and fit us into the schedule once the parts arrived. Kirk was conscientious of our home and was also friendly with our 4 dogs. Will use them again next spring/summer.

I really hate writing bad reviews. I really hate it! However, Kirk, a couple of years ago, installed a Solartube to cover the hole left in my roof when he took out my wood stove. When this tube first leaked, he repaired it, then suggested that I paint over the stain left behind. The second time it leaked, this past winter at 10:15 pm on a Sunday during one one of our atmospheric rivers, I could could only leave him a message. Pieces of my ceiling were falling down. I was able to contact another agency to patch the leak. When he did call me back, Kirk very kindly told me that he would reimburse me for the expenses to do the repairs, that he stood behind his work.

this work cost approximately a $1000 and included only a leak repair and ceiling patches. It does not include painting over the ceiling as I had not done this previously.

However, when I called, 3 times over the last 3 weeks and emailed the invoices twice, in case they did not get them, I have not heard anything! Not even an acknowledgment. My next step will be small claims court. And as I've said previously, I really hate needing to do this! kind of a review But feel I have few options.

He knows every thing about stoves, furnaces, and chimneys and he has all the equipment needed to service, install, and remove them effectively and cleanly. Captain Kirk did a fantastic job of thoroughly cleaning our chimney! He came on time and left the house meticulously clean afterwards. I hate writing bad reviews but I have rarely seen a poor service like this one. Captain kirk came to my home while I was away picking up my kids from school : my architect kindly showed him our chimney issue. When I came back 1/2 hours after he had arrived, he was already gone. He charged us 330$ for this, which is outrageous : he never gave any feed back, telling my architect that he needed to know how my chimney was build inside but that he could not see. When my architect sent him pictures, Captain Kirk never get back to us, even after sending emails, calling him twice and leaving messages. What a poor service, I had never seen that... We just lost our money, that's all. I would definitely not recommend his services.

Captain Kirk was so friendly and helpful. He was thorough and careful to not get the house dirty while he inspected our fireplace. He even gave us tips to keep the fireplace safe and clean ourselves without spending any extra money. I highly recommend his services.

Kirk is the best. We had a leaky chimney that was really tricky to try and diagnose. Kirk solved it by properly repairing the cap - and as a bonus he updated my cap to actually meet fire code and be safer.

Kirk has been cleaning the fire places and gas burning inserts at the rentals I manage for years. He communicates incredibly well, you know what your arrival window will be and he's there. Very through, from the roof on down, will spend the time to find out what you have and keep a record of the manual, many of these houses didn't provide that info upon purchase.
Personable and efficient. We don't have anyone else work on our gas or wood burning stoves.
His pricing is competitive, and for the peace of mind , never-mind the liability issues, he's your man.
