Milholland's workers are very professional and easy to work with. They not only put on our new roof but also took off our solar panels and put them back on after the new roof was completed.. They replaced any decayed wood and made everything new again. They took time to clean up at the end of each day. We were very pleased to to have contracted with them.

The whole solar process was explained well and the system was installed earlier than expected. The workmanship was pretty good and communication was excellent. One caveat with a SunPower system (not with Milholland) is that you can't currently monitor per panel solar output so if a panel doesn't work, you're at the mercy of SunPower to let you know it isn't working. Hopefully this changes in the future as it is controlled on the SunPower website.

The entire team from Milholland is top notch. They are always courteous, very patient with all our questions, and very responsive by phone or by e-mail. This made the whole experience very smooth and drama-free. The installation team is very professional and did everything to satisfy our HOA. I would recommend them to anyone who is thinking about solar.

DO NOT BUY SOLAR FROM THIS COMPANY. My husband and I felt confident after researching solar options that this would be the best company. How we were wrong!!!!!!

Our solar representative talked the talk and was more than happy to help us in the beginning. Then when things got a little dicey, he kept pushing the blame on different departments. It took over 4 months for our solar to pass city inspections because of careless mistakes made by the company.

Once our solar was turned on, we kept receiving bills from our electric company month after month. This didn’t make sense to me since we purchased enough panels to produce 130% of our current electricity needs. We were PROMISED over and over that all we would see from Edison was a $10 regulatory fee each month. We would be producing adequate solar.

NOT THE CASE! Month after month we have not only paid our solar loan, but we have also paid our electricity bill. We would have been better off not even getting solar in the first place.

I’ve tried to speak to someone repeatedly who could help. I’ve left my name and number several times, but no one has called me back. I AM FURIOUS!!!!! I feel like we have been lied to, taken advantage of and left in a lurch. No one seems to care because they have our money.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM SUNPOWER. YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Excellent one-stop-shop for your solar and/or roofing needs. You can tell they take great pride in their work to ensure customer satisfaction. Very professional (yet personable), communicative, and honest. They were also in-and-out. I don't know if I got lucky, but over the span of a couple weeks I had a beautiful new roof and functioning solar. They kept me informed through the entire process and it was completely painless. Definitely recommend!

The ease of working with Milholland made me think I should have purchased solar years ago. They were incredibly responsive, well planned out and the solar is already paying for itself. I was in no way compensated for this review and I highly recommend SunPower by Milholland, just do it!

It sure is great to lower my SDG&E payment to only $16 for gas. Milholland did a great job upgrading all the electric in my home prior to installing my SunPower panels, the best solar investment. My hot tub is always ready at 104 degrees, and I no longer give a thought to my bill. Milholland has a great reputation, has been in the business longer than most. You have to be careful about doing business with fly-by-night guys ....

One star, only because a zero is not an option. Installation and completion of new solar panels was problematic due to not utilizing mounting hardware per approved plans. All this was after a complete reroof. Z brackets were utilized instead of what was on the plans. Concrete roof tiles were not notched to accommodate together Z-brackets leaving the tiles sitting high in many places. After many complaints they finally notched the tiles. Slightly over a year later now my roof leaks under the solar panels. Many attempts to reach Milholland are in vain as they flat out do not respond. SIRC their parent company did respond only once and sent out a roofer who found cracked roof tiles at the Z-brackets and just smeared mastic over the the cracked tile. he told me to contact the solar company to come properly fix it. Impossible since they are non-responsive. Stay as far away as possible from Milholland unless you want poor quality and poor service!!

Excellent experience from first contact through installation. From the company’s president through all the technicians, design team and project coordinator we were impressed with their knowledge, expertise and the care they showed for our project. We felt secure selecting Milholland because it is a company that has been in San Diego more than 30 years and will be there for our support in the future.

The team at Milholland was outstanding. Communication was great. They quickly responded and answered all of our questions. The entire project was completed on time and at a reasonable pace. I would highly recommend Milholland Electric to anyone for their solar needs.

We had a good experience with the Milholland Electric team for our re-roofing and solar installation. We worked with Arturo Cuevas and his team for the roofing project and River Brow, Austin P. and Maya C. for the solar installation. They were very professional and completed the work on time. They always cleaned the premises at the end of the work day. A few window screens that were damaged during this process were repaired after we reported this to the project manager.
The only feedback I have for them is that it would have been nice to get a daily update on the work being done from the project manager.

We first talked to River Brown on June 13th who gave us a very competitive quote and we signed our contract the next day on the 14th. The system was installed on July 10th and by the 22nd of the same month, our household was running on Solar!

I only have great things to say about the Milholland team. Not only were they knowledgeable and courteous, but they also kept us updated throughout the process. Maya, our project coordinator, did an excellent job keeping us in the loop. The installation team went above and beyond, working with and around our house to make the install look clean and professional. Silvia is a great asset to Milholland as I see an invoice in my email inbox the moment a key milestone is completed during the process. Our experience in getting Solar Installation is very pleasant.As a whole, Milholland did a fantastic job on our solar installation and I will definitely contact Milaholland for my future projects like batttery installation and highly recommend Milholland team for anyone looking for Solar Installation.

All of their personal from sales staff, office staff, installers and inspection liaison were highly professional, well informed and ON TIME. I was kept informed in a timely manner from start to finish. I’m delighted to recommend this wonderful team.

When we first started our Solar journey, we were a bit overwhelmed with what/where/how/when questions. That is when Oscar Castro from "SunPower by Milholland Electric" came into our home/lives to do the initial sales pitch. He made us feel very comfortable by explaining to us the different options we have, the different advantages of going Solar, etc. He was there in our house for about 5 hours or so and in the process we found a friend in him which will stay with us long after we are done with the installation. After the initial meeting, we needed some time to decide and we never felt that pressure from them rushing us to make a decision. Finally when we decided to go with them, they made sure things happened smoothly and in a timely fashion for us and stayed with us and informed us at every step of the installation. The whole process from start to end finished in just one month's time and we are very happy with our decision to go Solar with "SunPower by Milholland Electric". Thanks a lot guys for an excellent job.

Working with Milholland was a very smooth process. Starting from the consultation time till the installation was completed, we were updated on the progress of every step. They were helpful in securing the solar loan as well. The system installation was completed on time. They were always available to help with any documentation or paper work needed to get approvals from HoA.

We had a great experience with SunPower/Milholland. There was an issue with our city inspection that identified mistakes by our home builder's electrician. For a month the electrician denied doing anything wrong, and once he had no way out, he still did as little as possible to finish the job. Luckily, Milholland stepped in and completed the work for the electrician and got our system up and running. You won't find better solar equipment than SunPower can offer, and Milholland met or surpassed all expectations on the install. Highly recommended.

So many reasons why I WOULD NOT recommend this solar company to others. At first it seemed to be rainbows, sunshine and perfect promises. Then it turned out too good to be true. They are impossible to contact and take weeks to get ahold of when we found a leak due to the rain season. They show up to your house unannounced on their own time and do not care whether it is a good time or not to fix what needs to get fixed. They promised us no money to get it installed and since we are selling our home - now are trying to charge both our home buyer and us 10K to transfer the lease with them. Oh, this is also after nearly two weeks of trying to get a hold of them in the first place of transferring to new buyers. We never got the 10k rebate that was promised either. Milholland is not a trustworthy company if you are looking for someone to be customer service based or careful with your home. They are a cancer to actual reputable Solar companies and deserve to be burned to the ground. I will never trust, like, or want to use another Solar company again because of how useless and negatively they have impacted my home with their negligence. Rating: 0.5/5 stars ✨

My experience with them is not good. They were helpful at just the beginning, but I am still waiting to hear a call back since last December 2023. No one calls you back, gives answers, or answers to emails. When you do get a call back, apparently the questions you do have cannot be answered by them because supposedly they do not deal with those inquiries. They did a great job at installing the solar panels, but when you have questions, no one will return your calls. I have left emails and voicemails regarding my concerns and no one has returned my calls or responded to my emails. In December it will be a year and I am still waiting.

Great work. Milholland Solar & their subcontracted roofing crews did a wonderful job on installing an entire roof ... and solar panels on the new roof. They addressed all of my concerns and made me feel comfortable with their plans of action. It started out a little rough on the initial execution, but it all worked out in the end. They worked very hard, were customer service oriented, & ensured I was happy with the work that was done. You will not go wrong when picking Milholland Electric. Thanks William McCray and crew. My new roof and panels look amazing.
