I am a heating and air conditioning contractor in Orange County California. I recently found Jim the owner hoping I can solve my issues with the high demand for having custom metal made. I gave him detailed sizes that he drew up and quoted me verbally. I received one of three products that I needed him to make for me. He must have read his writing wrong cause I only got half of what I needed. I called him to get a good understanding on what he quoted me for. He explained that he only quoted me for the metal I picked up. Only having half of what I needed wasted my whole day due to me having to return to a job to complete the unfinished work. Jim said he was would make it for me that night and call me sounding sympathetic. He never callled me back. I stopped at his shop this morning hoping the material would be ready when he opened. His employee showed up and told me it wasn’t ready and he didn’t know of anything that had to be ready. So I called jim figure out was going on and couldn’t get ahold of him until 10:30 am he said the material would be ready to pick up in fifteen minutes. I packed up all my tools that were out on a job site and got there at 11:00 am abd His employee acted like he didn’t know anything again. I will never give business to someone who can’t return phone calls or due what they say they would do I have lost money giving him work 2 days in a row now. Still no word from him.

I asked Jim for a quote on sheet metal to cover the outdoor beams on my home and ask for a discount and he agreed on the price. He said he will be back on a Monday to measure, a few weeks have past he never showed up, I tried to contact him by phone and left messages but never responded. So, I decided to pay him a visit in his shop and ask him what happened. He responded that I insulted him! My response was, how did I insulted you? He said that I asked for a discount that he felt was not right. I responded , how is that an insult to you? You agreed for the discount and I assumed you’re okay with it. If you were not okay with it, you could have told me affront that no discount and that you’re price is fixed and I don’t have a problem with that. Or, he could have called me and say that I cannot proceed with the job because of the price I gave you is not adequate. And at the end I told him that I still wanted it done and Jim throw a curveball on me, he said from the price of $850 would be a lot more. And I said how much? He said $1500. This person just know how to build and fabricate sheet metal but he has no knowledge of how to run a business. Anyone out there that will run across this A$J Sheet metal in the city of Stanton, stay away from working with this guy, totally unprofessional and no business ethics whatsoever! If there is negative star rating I would have given it to this person. If this business continues to practice this kind of behavior, I won’t be surprise if he goes out of business. Good luck everyone! Remember there are more places like this that could make a business deal more professional!

James Hanna fabricated and installed rain gutters, down spouts and rain barrels for my home. He gave me an affordable price and did the fabrication and installation immediately. He was always easy to get a hold of and showed up on time. I highly recommend James for any type of sheet metal and copper work. He is a true artist!

Called Jim same day to get some Plenums done for an HVAC job I had in the area. He said he can get it done that same day. I was surprised when he called me and told my Plenums we’re ready in 3 hours. I have used many sheet metal guys but Jim definitely went overboard to get me what I needed. I can tell he takes pride in his work and provides quality work.

Jim and Dennis do amazing work. Our previous fabricator closed permanently and finding A&J was a godsend! It's a small old school shop but they do it all and in a timely orderly fashion and at a more than fair price! It's safe to say they will be our new fabricators for all of our sheet metal needs. Highly recommended. Thanks again for another professional job, we're looking forward to working with you again in the near future.

You don't stay in business for over 20 years in the same place because you've been doing something wrong. I have dealt with Jim Hanna on multiple occasions and because he is primarily a one man operation he is busy, but he always makes time for his customers. I have also compared Jim's prices to others and he comes in up to 1/5th the price of the competition, perfect example is the last job I had him do someone else quoted me $500 per unit and Jim was $125 a unit. To anyone who tries to say Jim is too expensive or asks for a discount, they need to go elsewhere or learn to do it themselves because this guy is one of the few remaining HVAC sheetmetal gurus in Southern California
