We had a great experience with Groundworks. From the initial consultation with Ralph to the scheduling and completion of the work. Our crew was Richard, Sean, Frankie and Chris and they were great. They were timely, communicated clearly, cleaned up each day and always made space for our dogs. I highly recommend Groundworks!

If your building/home is sinking, Groundworks is your solution! My neighbor was getting their building lifted so I decided to get a quote since we are on the same soil. I was very impressed with Cody Wellner who came to give me a quote to just keep 1/4 of my building from sinking any further. He took photos in my crawlspace to show me the cracks that I can't see as well as showed me the cracks on the outside. I asked if I should put support in other parts of my building and he said it isn't needed. Because he didn't try to upsell me which I have felt other companies did try, I felt this company is one I could trust. The whole process was incredibly easy. Groundworks worked with my city to get the permit and once it was approved, scheduled the work quickly. Richard was assigned as the lead for the work. He was fantastic in keeping me posted on what the status and answered any questions I had. His crew (Fili, Frank and Sean) were all efficient, professional and did a great job. So if your building needs support, go with Groundworks!

Five-star service from the San Jose Groundworks crew—Estevan (Foreman), Noah (Installer), Roberto (Installer), and Kyle (Supervisor). This team was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. They solved our basement leaking during heavy rain by installing an internal foundation floor gutter system and a sump pump, and the quality of their work was exceptional.

What really stood out was their professionalism and attention to detail. They were incredibly friendly, took the time to explain everything clearly, and treated our home with great care. The floor protection and furniture tarping they set up before starting the job was first-rate and showed how much pride they take in their work.

It’s rare to find a crew this skilled, respectful, and hardworking. I would highly recommend this company—and especially this fantastic team—to anyone dealing with foundation or basement water issues.

This will be my second review of bayarea underpinning sunnyvale california. The first review I posted was removed upon request of the general manager at the sunnyvale california location. His name is Andrew Rothenburg. I was contacted by mr. Rothenburg in regards to my complaints about reoccurring cracks and having to put up with doors inside my house not opening and closing properly after the foundation repair work preformed by bayarea underpinning. Mr Rothenburg stated to me that he personally along with two of his most knowledgeable employees would be arriving at my home to address the problems that had continued to arise time after time . I was told with no uncertainty, once he evaluated the situation he would rectify the problems. Well , Mr Rothenburg did keep the appointment to personally look at my concerns. Unfortunately that was all he had done. After he and his two employees had left i realize in all the talk between myself and the three representative that my doors were not repaired so I could open or close any of them. I contacted Mr Rothenburg, he asked me to remove the unfavorable review and stated it being a Friday he would contact me the following Monday and schedule a appointment for someone to come to my house to fix the doors that had not been fixed yet. We'll i am a man of my word and I remove my review. Mr Rothenburg, i found out is not a man of his word. Its been two weeks and one text message that I sent to him letting him know I have no respect for him or any other person who does not keep their word. To anyone reading this review, it is my opinion that any person,Especially a male who does not care about keeping their word , can 100% not be trusted what so ever.. please understand I take no pleasure in writing this review what so ever. I truly would much rather be writing to praise both bayarea underpinning and Mr Rothenburg. Thank you and good day to all.

Groundworks has, from start to finish!
It started with Ashton as our sales person, great customer service…answered all questions and great communicator! We were pleasantly surprised that we were able to begin installation way sooner than promised!
The installation team, including Ramon, Fili, Angel, and Wyatt were so personable and professional. Their communication was outstanding, always letting me know when they were on their way.
We had many issues with city permitting, nothing Groundworks did wrong, but Ramon and Wyatt were so good at keeping me informed. They were always promptly on time too.

Mark from Bay Area Groundworks spent several hours at our home performing a very thorough inspection of our foundation and crawlspace. He arrived on time and took the time to carefully evaluate the structure, measure floor elevations, and inspect the crawlspace in detail. He also documented everything with photos and walked us through what he found step-by-step.

What we appreciated most was how clearly he explained the situation. He showed us exactly where the foundation had settled, pointed out areas of moisture, identified a crack in the foundation, and explained the possible causes and long-term effects in plain language that was easy to understand. He also explained the different repair options, the process his company uses for underpinning, and what the installation would look like.

Mark was patient with our many questions and never made us feel rushed. He discussed warranties, permits, engineering, project timelines, and what level of disruption to expect during the work. He also provided a clear visual layout of the proposed repair plan and shared photos from the inspection so we could review everything afterward.

We especially appreciated that he was respectful of our decision to gather multiple estimates before moving forward. His professionalism, thoroughness, and willingness to educate homeowners made the entire consultation very helpful.

Overall, Mark was knowledgeable, transparent, and generous with his time. If you’re looking for someone who will carefully evaluate your foundation and explain things in a way that makes sense, he is definitely worth speaking with.

Outstanding. Excellent service. Fast, punctual, clean, cordial, cooperative, great communication. Crew chief José Moya, together with Vidal and David, were a terrific team. At my request, they talked and walked me through each stage of what they were doing, and why, as they raised the downhill 30% of my house by nearly four inches to bring it back to level. I have no complaints whatsoever. I recommend them highly based on my experience. Even a shoutout to Francesca in the office, who also was of great help to me. Thanks to all. Great job.
