General Contractor reviews in Sunnyvale, California

I was in the process of moving from Northern VA to San Jose area and had purchased a house in Almaden Valley that needed a lot of work.

I did the normal things looking at Houzz and Yelp and elsewhere for contractor, had a few come and give me bids that were $$$$$$$$ if there was a price category like that in Yelp or they would tell me that they cannot start the job in fall (I bought the house early spring)

Asking friends and family for a GC that would be trust worthy and reasonably priced, I got introduced to Koby who owns Koby Konstruction.

Imagine having to do major remodeling from 3000 miles away in a market like San Jose and all the horror stories you hear about contractors taking on multiple jobs and not having enough resources and missing deadlines. Well none of that happened to me as Koby managed it from A to Z and collaborated with me through email and phone to keep me up to date each step of the process.

Koby from day one was one of the most professional person I have ever worked with. He helped with the entire process of bringing together a team of interior designer, architect, structure engineer for the design stage and then brought his team that worked like a nice Swiss Watch where all peaces work together to get it done. He knows many vendors in the bay area for all sort of materials and fixtures, so I was able to get most of what I needed to buy remotely at times.

With any construction project, there are problems that you cannot avoid. If anyone tells you there are no problems, run the other way. We hit a few problems as well when we opened walls and saw whats underneath it. Koby was clear from day one, told me what the options were and what were the possible solutions and we got it fixed/figured out

A project that would probably take 9 to 12 months (every room, every level of the house was being remodeled and new SQFT being added ), from start to finish took 6.5 months .. can you believe that.. a GC that delivers sooner than expected.

Koby is not the cheapest contractor in town, nor he is the most expensive, but I am sure he is the most honest one. He is that one old fashion, honest service provider you always hear about and cannot find mostly because he doesn't like to market himself in the market. So I told him that I will change that and because he did such a great job at my house, I will write a review. He was not happy about it but I am sure he will thank me one day. I am going to be his reference and if you decide to work with him ask him to bring you to my house or send me a note. I show you before/after pictures and entire pictorial of what it looked like and what it looks like now.

Mo and his team did an excellent job fixing our preschool center's warning tiles. You can tell a lot of effort and care were put into it, ensuring the safety of our school community.

Mo has helped me with several projects over my last three houses, including rescuing/redoing a lot of work that my former contractor did on my last massive remodel. Nothing says “recommend” like being a repeat customer. He has always been my go to for any project as he respects and stands by quality of work. There is nothing that he can’t tackle with high quality.

Can’t say enough good things about Silicon Valley GBC! From providing accurate quotes to ensuring projects are managed around our preschool children’s safety needs to ensuring subcontractors do a high quality job, Mo is always there daily and is always communicating with me and my school directors. I’ve worked with Mo and Silicon Valley GBC on several occasions and keep going back to his team for both small and large projects. A few years ago they did a full kitchen remodel on my property which I was very pleased with. Then most recently I had them replace my sliding glass doors as well since I trust his work. Mo is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

My shower was leaking water. Silicon Valley contractor was able to find and replace the Grohe cartridges so I didn’t have to tear down the whole wall for all new shower system. Thank you!

We had a small bathroom remodel - some of which we did ourselves but SRC came in and finished everything off for us. They provided good quality work, were quick, exceptionally clean (wiping down the floor and surfaces after every day) and reasonably priced.
I would definitely use them again without hesitation and have recommended them to neighbors who are planning on their own remodels and were impressed with the quality of the work when they inspected.

We have had the pleasure of working with SRC Construction on several projects over the past few years, and each experience has been exceptional. Here are some of the key projects they've completed for us:

1. **Large Frontyard and Backyard Landscaping Project (2023)**: SRC transformed our outdoor space by installing 1000 sqft of pavers, adding a lush lawn, and planting drought-resistant native plants, along with citrus and plum trees. They also installed a comprehensive irrigation system. The results were stunning and exceeded our expectations.

2. **Sideyard Fence Replacement (2022)**: In this project, SRC replaced our sideyard fence with high-quality materials and expert craftsmanship. The new fence not only looks great but also provides enhanced security and privacy.

3. **Subcontracting for Garage to ADU Conversion (2021)**: SRC served as a subcontractor for the conversion of our garage into an ADU. Their contributions were invaluable, showcasing their versatility and skill in different areas of construction.

Throughout all these projects, Sergio Rojas and his team have consistently demonstrated their commitment to excellence. They are extremely customer-focused, always taking the time to understand our needs and preferences. Their collaborative approach ensures that we are kept in the loop at every stage of the project.

We are very pleased with the master bathroom and highly recommend SRC. We plan to ask them again for future projects.

After reviewing several bids and getting burned with contractors in the past, I hired SRC to remodel 2 of my bathrooms based on price, professionalism of the pre-sales process. Moreover, he is licensed and insured. Sergio the owner, walked me through and explained the whole process clearly and was always very responsive to my calls and text messages. His crew was always on time, and were very professional. Sergio also went the extra mile and helped me fix some smaller items around the house without extra charge. I would not hesitate to recommend SRC to anyone looking for a solid and honest contractor.

I hired SRC to remodel my bathroom and fix different things around the house, including toilets, ceiling cracks and enlarging my hood range vent. I found Sergio and his crew very easy to work with and the work was done very professionally. I needed a few things corrected and Sergio was super responsive in getting people back to address the issues even after when I had paid in full. I would definitely recommend SRC to anyone looking for an honest contractor.

SRC Construction did all of the interior work on our home remodel that was completed in March 2024.

Sergio, the owner of SRC Construction, leads a team of competent and professionally motivated Individuals who generally are good at multiple trades. A big shout out for Julio, Victor, Javier, Alex and Marti who contributed to the exceptional quality through their dedicated workmanship.

The project was completed in time and the touch ups and finishing work post our moving-back-in were very willingly executed by the team. Perhaps the best endorsement of their professionalism was when our entire neighborhood showed up to celebrate their exemplary team work in a big party we had for the team in our backyard.

The team has our wholehearted support and full-throated recommendation for their future projects.
